O'Day appears to have been passed by Tommy Hunter on the depth chart, but the fact fact he was used in the eighth inning tonight shows the team still has faith in him to get the job done. 15 PC-11 ST (7/5/13)Boston Red Sox(CL) Shaky Koji Uehara (R)–Was charged with his third blown-save of the season Saturday after allowing one run (unearned) on two hits in the ninth inning. Uehara has now pitched back-to-back days, so expect to see Junichi Tazawa used in the closer role on Sunday. 17 PC-14 ST (7/6/13) (SU) Junichi Tazawa (R)--Earned his 15th hold of the season Friday after recording the final two outs of the eighth inning. Tazawa allowing one hit in the outing, but was able to work around it to take the game into the ninth inning. 13 PC-10 ST (7/5/13) (MR) Andrew Bailey (R)--Earned his sixth hold of the season Saturday after pitching 1.2 innings of relief allowing one hit in the outing. The earned run allowed by Crain in this contest was his first surrendered since April 12, which brings his season total up to three on the season. 18 PC-12 ST (6/29/13) (MR) Matt Thornton (L)–Pitched 0.2 innings of relief on Wednesday allowing one hit on 11 pitches thrown. This was his first appearance since Tuesday, so the Indians likely just wanted him to get on the mound no matter the situation. 17 PC-9 ST (7/6/13) (SU) Vinny Pestano (R)--Pitched a scoreless eighth inning on Saturday allowing one walk while striking out one batter on 13 pitches thrown. Pestano has been pitched better as of late, having recorded four strikeouts over his last 3.0 innings of work. 13 PC-8 ST (7/6/13) (MR) Joe Smith (R)--Was charged with a blown-save Thursday after allowing two runs on one hit and one walk in the seventh inning. Ambriz threw 36 pitches in the appearance, so there is a good chance he will be unavailable for Tuesday's contest. 36 PC-19 ST (7/1/13) (MR) Wesley Wright (L)–Recorded the final two outs of the sixth inning on Saturday, but not before allowing one run on one hit and one walk. Wright has now pitched two of the last three days, so there is a chance he won't be available on Sunday. 15 PC-9 ST (7/6/13)Kansas City Royals(CL) Solid Greg Holland (R)–Earned his 20th save of the season Saturday after striking out the side in the ninth inning. Holland has really come into a zone this season, and has now struck out 56 batters through 33.0 innings of relief, not to mention he is sporting a 1.91 ERA. 17 PC-11 ST (7/6/13) (SU) Aaron Crow (R)–Picked up the win on Saturday after pitching a scoreless eighth inning allowing one hit while striking out two batters on 12 pitches thrown. Crow has looked sharp as of late and has now recorded four strikeouts over his last 2.0 innings of relief. 12 PC-9 ST (7/6/13) (MR) Tim Collins (L)--Pitched a scoreless eighth inning on Friday night retiring all three batters he faced in order. Collins needed only 10 pitches to get through the appearance, forcing two ground ball outs while striking out one batter to get the job done. 10 PC-6 ST (7/5/13)Los Angeles Angels(CL) Solid Ernesto Frieri (R)–Pitched two innings of scoreless relief on Saturday night in a non-save situation allowing one walk while striking out five batters. Frieri pitched both the 10th and 11th innings throwing 27 pitches in the contest, which means he may get the day off on Sunday. 27 PC-19 ST (7/6/13) (MR) Kevin Jepsen (R)--Pitched one inning of relief on Saturday allowing one run on two hits and one walk. With this appearance Downs improves to 2-2 on the season as he continues to be a very reliable arm out of the Angels bullpen. 14 PC-9 ST (7/4/13) Injured:  Ryan Madson (Elbow), Sean Burnett (Elbow)Minnesota Twins(CL) Solid Glen Perkins (L)–Pitched a scoreless ninth inning on Saturday in a non-save situation retiring all three batters he faced in order. Perkins needed only 11 pitches to work through the frame, forcing one ground ball out and one fly ball out while striking out one batter. 11 PC-7 ST (7/6/13) (SU) Jared Burton (R)–Pitched a scoreless eighth inning on Saturday allowing one hit on 14 pitches thrown. Burton has now pitched two straight scoreless relief appearances, so hopefully he will be able to continue trending in the right direction. 14 PC-11 ST (7/6/13) (MR) Casey Fien (R)--Pitched a scoreless eighth inning on Wednesday night retiring all three batters he faced in order. Fien has been pitching well as of late, so if Jared Burton continues to struggle, he may find himself int he setup role in no time. 14 PC-9 ST (7/3/13)New York Yankees(CL) Elite Mariano Rivera (R)–Recorded his 29th save of the season Saturday after pitching a scoreless ninth inning allowing one hit while striking out one batter on 13 pitches thrown. Rivera takes over the American League lead in saves following this appearance, and has now pitched eight straight scoreless innings. 13 PC-10 ST (7/6/13) (SU) David Robertson (R)–Earned his 20th hold of the season Saturday after pitching a scoreless eighth inning allowing one hit while striking out one batter. Robertson needed 16 pitches to work through the frame, forcing two ground ball outs to accompany his strikeout. 16 PC-10 ST (7/6/13) (MR) Boone Logan (R)–Pitched 0.2 innings of relief on Thursday allowing one run on two hits and one walk. This was Logan's first outing since Sunday, so expect him to be used in the setup role Friday with David Robertson likely unavailable. 25 PC-16 ST (7/4/13)Oakland Athletics(CL) Solid Grant Balfour (R)–Collected his 22nd save of the season Friday night after recording the final two outs of the ninth inning. Balfour has now pitched back-to-back days, so there is a chance he will be given the day off on Saturday, so fantasy owners should plan accordingly. 11 PC-7 ST (7/5/13) (SU) Ryan Cook (R)--Took the loss on Saturday after allowing one run (unearned) on one hit and two walks between the seventh and eighth innings. With this appearance Cook falls to 1-2 on the season, having now pitched two of the last three days. 25 PC-12 ST (7/6/13) (MR) Sean Doolittle (L)–Recorded the final out of the eighth inning on Saturday striking out the only batter he faced on seven pitches. Doolittle was able to keep the Athletics in the game, but Greg Holland sealed the victory for the Royals in the top half of the ninth inning. 7 PC-4 ST (7/6/13)Seattle Mariners(CL) Committee Tom Wilhelmsen (R)--Recorded his 17th save of the season Wednesday night after pitching a scoreless 10th inning retiring all three batters he faced in order. This was Wilhelmsen's first save opportunity in weeks, so hopefully this will get the ball rolling for him. 13 PC-8 ST (7/3/13) (CL) Committee  Oliver Perez (L)--Recorded his second save of the season Friday night after striking out the side on only 11 pitches thrown. Tom Wilhelmsen was used to get the save on Thursday night, but it was Perez who was used Friday making it appear like there is still a committee for the ninth inning in Seattle. 11 PC-9 ST (7/5/13) (MR)  Carter Capps (R)–Pitched two innings of relief on Saturday night allowing three runs on four hits needing 23 pitches to work through the appearance. Capps has been terrible as of late, having now allowed seven runs in his last three appearances, so look for him to possibly get sent down to the minors if his struggles continue. 23 PC-17 ST (7/6/13) Injured–Stephen Pryor (back)Tampa Bay Rays(CL) Shaky Fernando Rodney (R)–Recorded his 19th save of the season Saturday after pitching a scoreless ninth inning retiring all three batters he faced in order. Rodney has been pitching very well as of late, having now tallied eight straight scoreless relief appearances. 15 PC-10 ST (7/6/13) (SU) Joel Peralta (R)–Earned his 21st hold of the season Saturday after pitching a scoreless eighth inning allowing one hit while striking out two batters. Peralta bounced back nicely after a poor showing on Thursday, so hopefully this will get him trending in the right direction. 18 PC-12 ST (7/6/13) (MR) Jake McGee (L)--Picked up his 16th hold of the season Saturday after recording the final two outs of the seventh inning. Putz (R)--Pitched a scoreless ninth inning on Friday night in a non-save situation retiring the side on 13 pitches thrown. Putz was removed from the closer role just two days ago, so ti was nice to see that it didn't bother his in this performance. 13 PC-8 ST (7/5/13) Injured: Matt Reynolds (Elbow)Atlanta Braves(CL) Elite Craig Kimbrel (R)–Took the loss on Thursday night after allowing one run on one hit and two walks in the ninth inning. The runs allowed by Kimbrel were the first he has surrendered since May 7, which was during his rough stretch, so hopefully this doesn't make him start spiraling in the wrong direction. 28 PC-17 ST (7/4/13) (SU)  Jordan Walden (R)--Pitched a scoreless eighth inning on Thursday night allowing one walk while striking out two batters. Walden continues to pitch well out of the setup role, and is now the clear cut favorite to take over the closer role if something was to happen to Craig Kimbrel. 25 PC-14 ST (7/4/13) (MR) Luis Avilan (L)--Pitched 1.2 innings of relief on Friday night allowing one hit and one walk while striking out one batter on 27 pitches thrown. Camp has struggled immensely this season, and may find himself on the outside looking in his he continues to pitch this poorly. 30 PC-20 ST (6/30/13) Injured--Kyuji Fujikawa (Forearm)Cincinnati Reds(CL) Elite Aroldis Chapman (L)–Pitched a scoreless ninth inning on Wednesday night in a non-save situation allowing one walk while striking out two batters on 17 pitches thrown. Hoover (R)--Picked up the win on Wednesday night after pitching two innings of relief allowing one hit and one walk while striking out four batters. Hoover threw 38 pitches in the appearance, so expect him to get the day off on Thursday. 38 PC-26 ST (7/3/13) (MR) Alfredo Simon (R)--Earned his third hold of the season on Saturday after retiring the final out of the eighth inning. Brothers allowed two home runs in the contest, which was just the second time this season that he has surrendered a home run in an appearance in 2013. 14 PC-11 ST (7/3/13) (MR) Wilton Lopez (R)–Pitched a scoreless eighth inning on Friday night allowing one hit on 11 pitches thrown. Lopez has now pitched two of the last three days, so there is a chance he will be given the day off on Saturday. 11 PC-7 ST (7/5/13)Los Angeles Dodgers(CL) Solid Kenley Jansen (R)–Collected his eighth save of the season Wednesday night despite allowing one run on one hit and one walk in 1.1 innings of work. Ramos (R)--Took the loss on Saturday after allowing one run (unearned) on one hit and one walk in the ninth inning. Ramos failed to make it through the frame before giving up the game-winning run, as he fell to 3-3 on the season. 18 PC-8 ST (7/6/13)Milwaukee Brewers(CL) Shaky Francisco Rodriguez (R)--Recorded his eighth save of the season Saturday despite allowing one run on one hit in the ninth inning. It is pretty clear now that the Brewers will continue to use Francisco Rodriguez in the ninth inning, which will cause Henderson's fantasy value to take a hit. 14 PC-6 ST (7/6/13) (MR) John Axford (R)–Picked up his 13th hold of the season Saturday despite allowing one run on two hits and one walk in the seventh inning. The run allowed by Axford is the first since the middle of May, so hopefully this doesn't have a snowball effect. 20 PC-11 ST (7/6/13)New York Mets(CL) Solid Bobby Parnell (R)–Pitched a scoreless ninth inning on Thursday in a non-save situation retiring all three batters he faced in order. Parnell has now pitched back-to-back days so there is a good chance he will be given the night off on Friday. 18 PC-13 ST (7/4/13) (SU) Brandon Lyon (R)–Pitched 1.1 innings of relief on Thursday allowing one run on three hits in extra innings. Lyon has been very inconsistent over the course of the season, but considering the other options in the Mets bullpen, it is hard to see him being moved out of the setup role anytime soon. 25 PC-16 ST (7/4/13) (MR) LaTroy Hawkins (R)--Pitched two innings of relief on Saturday night allowing one run on one hit and two walks needing 34 pitches to make it through the appearance. Papelbon has now put together four straight scoreless outings, after a rough ending to June, so he appears to be back on track as the All-Star break approaches. 18 PC-12 ST (7/5/13) (SU) Antonio Bastardo (L)–Picked up his 12th hold of the season Friday night after pitching a 1-2-3 eighth inning striking out one batter on 12 pitches thrown. Bastardo forced two fly ball outs to go along with his strikeout to secure the Phillies lead heading into the ninth inning. 12 PC-7 ST (7/5/13) (MR) Justin De Fratus (R)--Pitched one inning of relief on Thursday allowing two runs on three hits in the eighth frame. De Fratus has not been pitching all that well since being moved into a more meaningful role, so if he doesn't turn things around expect him to move down on the team's depth chart. 20 PC-13 ST (7/4/13) Injured--Mike Adams (Shoulder)Pittsburgh Pirates(CL) Elite Jason Grilli (R)–Collected his 28th save of the season Wednesday despite surrendering two runs on two hits in the ninth inning. Grilli worked his way through a jam, forcing two fly ball outs while striking out one batter to secure the victory for the best team in baseball. 21 PC-16 ST (7/3/13) (SU) Mark Melancon (R)--Picked up his 24th hold of the season Wednesday after pitching a scoreless eighth inning retiring all three batters he faced in order. Melancon has been arguably the best relief pitcher this season, and is now sitting on a 0.87 ERA through the first three months of the season. 12 PC-10 ST (7/3/13) (MR) Tony Watson (L)--Pitched 1.2 innings of relief on Thursday allowing one hit while striking out one batter on 15 pitches thrown. Watson has been very reliable for the Pirates  this season, and the fact that he is able to pitch multiple innings gives him even more value moving forward. 15 PC-11 ST (7/4/13)San Diego Padres(CL) Solid Huston Street (R)--Pitched a scoreless eighth inning on Friday night in a non-save situation retiring the side on only eight pitches thrown. It had been over a week since Street took the mound, to the Padres in tended on using him in the game no matter the situation . 8 PC-5 ST (7/5/13)(SU) Luke Gregerson (R)–Pitched 1.1 innings of relief on Saturday allowing two hits while striking out one batter on 16 pitches thrown. Gregerson had allowed one run in his previous outing, so it was nice to see him bounce back in this contest despite it being in a losing effort. 16 PC-13 ST (7/6/13) (MR) Dale Thayer (R)–Pitched a scoreless seventh inning on Friday night allowing one hit while striking out one batter on 16 pitches thrown. Thayer has been pitching very well as of late, with Friday night's performance making it five straight scoreless relief appearances for the Padres reliever. 16 PC-11 ST (7/5/13)San Francisco Giants(CL) Elite Sergio Romo (R)–Recorded his 20th save of the season Saturday after pitching a 1-2-3 ninth inning. This as Romo's first appearance in a week, so expect the Giants closer to see some extra appearances over the next few days. 13 PC-9 ST (7/6/13) (SU) Jeremy Affeldt (L)--Pitched one inning of scoreless relief on Wednesday night retiring all three batters he faced in order. Lopez has only pitched 2.1 innings over his last three appearances, so expect him to be available again on Sunday. 5 PC-3 ST (7/6/13) Injured--Santiago Casilla (Knee)St. Louis Cardinals(CL) Elite Edward Mujica (R)–Picked up the win on Saturday after pitching a scoreless ninth inning retiring all three batters he faced in order. Mujica has now pitched three consecutive days, so don't expect to see him take the mound on Sunday. 12 PC-9 ST (7/6/13) (SU) Trevor Rosenthal (R)--Pitched a scoreless eighth inning on Saturday allowing one walk while striking out one batter on 16 pitches thrown. Rosenthal has now pitched back-to-back days, so there is a good chance he will be given the day off on Sunday. 16 PC-9 ST (7/6/13) (MR) Randy Choate (L)--Pitched a scoreless eighth inning on Sunday retiring all three batters he faced in order. Choate threw only seven pitches in the contest, forcing one ground ball out and one fly ball out while striking out one batter to keep the game within reach for the Cardinals. 7 PC-7 ST (6/30/13) Injured– Jason Motte (Elbow), Fernando Salas (Shoulder)Washington Nationals(CL) Solid Rafael Soriano (R)--Recorded his 24th save of the season Saturday after pitching a scoreless ninth inning allowing two hits on 24 pitches thrown. Soriano has now been used in three consecutive days, so don't expect to see him take the hill on Sunday. 24 PC-16 ST (7/6/13) (SU) Drew Storen (R)--Picked up his 12th hold of the season Saturday after pitching a scoreless eighth inning retiring all three batters he faced in order. Storen is experiencing a very inconsistent season thus far,  having allowed seven earned runs in his previous two outings, then has a great showing like this, furthering the point. 5 PC-5 ST (7/6/13) (SU) Tyler Clippard (R)–Picked up his 15th hold of the season Friday after pitching a 1-2-3 eighth inning needing only 13 pitches to get the job done.
