(SU) Trevor Rosenthal (R)--Earned his 25th hold of the season Tuesday night after pitching 1.1 innings of relief retiring all four batters he faced in order. Rosenthal needed 23 pitches to work through the outing, forcing two fly ball outs while striking out two batters to secure the Cardinals lead. 23 PC-13 ST (8/6/13)
(MR) Randy Choate (L)--Failed to record an out in his appearance on Tuesday night allowing a hit to the only batter he faced in the sixth inning. Choate threw only six pitches in the appearance, so expect him to be available on Wednesday. 6 PC-3 ST (8/6/13)
Injuredâ Jason Motte (Elbow), Fernando Salas (Shoulder)Washington Nationals(CL) Solid Rafael Soriano (R)--Recorded his 28th save of the season Saturday night after pitching a 1-2-3 ninth inning. (MR) Ryan Mattheus (R)--Took the loss on Wednesday night after surrendering two runs on one hit and one walk in one inning of relief.
