Reed has been allowing base runners at a high clip over the last few weeks, so a bad outing was eventually going to happen. 28 PC-15 ST (7/31/13) (SU) Matt Lindstrom (R)--Pitched 0.1 innings of relief on Saturday night needing only two pitches to get through the outing. Considering the extent of this appearance, expect Herrera to get the day off on Sunday. 36 PC-24 ST (8/3/13)Los Angeles Angels(CL) Solid Ernesto Frieri (R)–Recorded his 26th save of the season Friday night after pitching a scoreless ninth inning allowing one hit while striking out three batters on 21 pitches thrown. It wasn't the best outing from Robertson, but at least he escaped unharmed as he continues to pitch well int he setup role. 18 PC-11 ST (8/3/13) (MR) Boone Logan (R)–Picked up the win on Wednesday night after pitching a scoreless eighth inning allowing one hit and one walk on 17 pitches thrown. This was Logan's first appearance since Sunday, so expect to see him used more in this weekend's series with the Padres. 17 PC-7 ST (7/31/13)Oakland Athletics(CL) Elite Grant Balfour (R)–Recorded his 29th save of the season Saturday after pitching a scoreless ninth inning retiring all three batters he faced in order. Rodney got himself into a jam, but was able to keep his composure and work around two base runners to help the Rays take over the lead in the AL East. 23 PC-14 ST (7/29/13) (SU) Joel Peralta (R)–Picked up his 27th hold of the season Monday night after recording the final two outs of the eighth inning. Peralta got himself into trouble by allowing two base runners, but was able to work his way through it to secure the Rays lead heading to the ninth inning. 9 PC-8 ST (7/29/13) (MR) Jake McGee (L)--Pitched 0.1 innings of relief on Wednesday night allowing one hit on nine pitches thrown. Clippard needed 10 pitches to work through the frame forcing two ground ball outs while striking out one batter to get the job done. 10 PC-6 ST (8/3/13) (MR) Ryan Mattheus (R)--Earned his fourth hold of the season Friday after pitching a scoreless seventh inning retiring all three batters he faced in order.
