DraftKings Recommended Lineup June 1, 2013 (Late Games)Ready to turn $5 into $50k? @DraftKings is giving you the chance now, and it’s through one-day fantasy baseball games http://bit.ly/17fdiMCAll lineups are based off of a $50,000 salary cap featured at DraftKings, you best option in daily fantasy sports gaming. Lineups consist of a two pitchers, one catcher, one first baseman, one second baseman, one third baseman, one shortstop and three outfielders. All scoring and contest rules for DraftKings contests can be found here.P: Jerome Williams (LAA) vs. HOU--$7,500--Considering how well Williams has pitched over his last few outings, it is really hard not to go with him tonight when he takes on the lowly Astros. Williams is not known for his strikeout ability, but the Astros have been striking out in bunches against all pitchers, so that should be an added bonus for him tonight. This may be one of his last starts for now, after the team announced he will be moved to the bullpen, so cash in on him now while you have the chance.P: Mark Buehrle (TOR) @SD--$6,700--Despite experiencing a rough season in his first year with the Blue Jays, Buehrle is a great start tonight after a 17-inning game between the two teams last night. The game lasted just under five hours, which means that the Padres batters should be a bit sluggish, which will benefit a struggling Buehrle. What makes this matchup even more appealing is that the Padres were forced to call up Robbie Erlin to start in place of Clayton Richard, who was forced to pitch in relief. Considering his price tag, you really can't go wrong with this South Paw tonight.C: Mike Napoli (BOS) @ NYY--$4,800--The Red Sox scores just one run against the Yankees in their series opener on Friday night, with the RBI coming off the bat of Napoli, who went 1-for-4 with a double and three strikeouts. Tonight's game should be a different story with Phil Hughes on the mound, who has struggled against the Red Sox over his career. In seven at-bats against Hughes, Napoli  has three hits, including one home run and two RBIs. Napoli comes in as the highest priced catcher at DraftKings, but if you save money at the starting pitcher position, you should have enough salary left to get him in your lineup.1B: David Ortiz (BOS) @ NYY--$5,100--Ortiz has been known for being a Yankee killer over the course of his career, and that shouldn't be any different tonight with Phil Hughes on the mound. He is 9-for-20 lifetime against Hughes with two home runs and seven RBIs, which factors out to a .450 batting average. To add to his success against Hughes, Ortiz has had a lot of success at Yankee Stadium, including five home runs over the last three seasons. His price tag is a bit high, but his production should be worth every penny in this matchup.2B: Neil Walker (PIT) vs. CIN--$3,700--Since returning from a trip to the disabled list, Walker has been on fire, and has now recorded five multi-hit games in his last 10 contests. Walker has also had success against Reds starter Mike Leake, going 9-for-23 with one home run, four doubles and 11 RBIs. Despite going 0-for-3 is last night's game, I feel Walker will get it done today in a must-win game for the Pirates. Considering he is $2,000 cheaper than the top second basemen for tonight's contests, Robinson Cano, I would much rather role with Walker, who has a matchup that you can't beat.SS: Ian Desmond (WAS) @ ATL--$4,400--Like the rest of the Nationals lineup, Desmond has been very inconsistent this season, but against Braves starter Tim Hudson, that is a different story. In 44 career at-bats against Hudson, Desmond has 13 hits, including two doubles, one triple and one home run. What is even more intriguing about this matchup is that he has only four strikeouts in those 44 at-bats, so there is nothing to worry about there.  There is only one shortstop ranked ahead of Desmond on DraftKings tonight, Starlin Castro, but his matchup isn't as good as Desmond's, so consider him the top option for tonight's contests.3B: David Freese (STL) vs. SF--$3,900--It was released earlier this morning that Freese will not be in the starting lineup for Game 1 of today's doubleheader, so he will most certainly be used in Game 2. Freese has just five career at-bats against Giants starter Madison Bumgarner, but has recorded two hits in those at-bats, including one home run. While the batter versus pitcher stats may not be appealing, the fact that he has recorded at least one hit in 10 straight games, should make him a serviceable option for tonight's contests, especailly when you consider his current price tag.OF: Mike Trout (LAA) vs. HOU--$5,600--There really isn't much analysis needed for this selection, considering how well he has been playing of late. With four multi-hit games over his last 10 contests, Trout has raised his batting average to .294 while hitting 10 home runs and driving in 37 RBIs. Trout has just seven at-bats against Bud Norris over his short career, but has recorded two hits in those at-bats, including one double. Norris has been pitching better of late, but the last time he faced an offense similar to the Angels he was shelled for seven earned-run over five innings. Trout is the highest priced outfielder, and for good reason, so expect another solid game from this future MVP.OF: Jose Bautista (TOR) @ SD--$4,700--.Despite hitting only one home run over his last 10 games, Bautista has been swinging a hot bat, including three three-hit or more performances over that time frame. He is coming off of an 0-for-7 performance in last night's marathon game, but that shouldn't stop him from bouncing back and turning in a good game. The Padres were forced to promote Robbie Erlin to start tonight's game, after using Clayton Richard in relief last night, so there is a chance he could give this youngster a few lessons on how not to pitch to a hitter with the ability of Bautista.OF: Melky Cabrera (TOR) @SD--$3,500--Like Jose Bautista, Cabrera played in a 17 inning game last night, which may be a cause of concern, but facing a rookie pitcher who didn't know he would be starting a major league game less than 24 hours ago, he is worth a shot. While his recent stats don't jump off the page, he has three multi-hit games out of his last 10 contests, including four hits over his last three games. His power stats has yet to be seen, but a matchup like this could be the perfect time for him to look like the Melky that was on the juice.Total Salary: $49,900Always pay close attention to the weather!
