[caption id="attachment_16441" align="aligncenter" width="360"] This might be a familiar site tonight as Robinson Cano is 31-for-75 over his career against Royals starter James Shields.[/caption]DraftKings Recommended Lineup May 11, 2013 (Late Games)Ready to turn $5 into $50k? @DraftKings is giving you the chance now, and it’s through one-day fantasy baseball games http://bit.ly/17fdiMCAll lineups are based off of a $50,000 salary cap featured at DraftKings, you best option in daily fantasy sports gaming. Lineups consist of a two pitchers, one catcher, one first baseman, one second baseman, one third baseman, one shortstop and three outfielders. All scoring and contest rules for DraftKings contests can be found here.P: Jarrod Parker (OAK) @ SEA--$7,000--Due to some excellent hitter matchups today, I elected to go against the clear cut No. 1 pitching options (Yu Darvish and Justin Verlander) and try to find some value. Despite a rough start to the season, Parker has pitched decent over his last two games, going 1-1 over that span with 11 strikeouts in 11 innings. In his only start against the Mariners this season, Parker allowed four runs on five hits and three walks while striking out seven over five innings, which isn't horrible. At his price, he is definitely worth looking into, considering the top options are almost double the price he is going for today.P: Jerome Williams (LAA) @ CWS--$5,000--This one might have readers scratching their heads, but hear me out before you start calling me crazy. The White Sox are ranked dead last in batting average against right-handed pitchers, hitting an abysmal .222 over 913 at-bats. Not only that, there is only one player on the White Sox that has more than 10 at-bats against Williams, that being the strikeout machine Adam Dunn. The price is right to use Williams tonight if you want to get both Robinson Cano ($5,900) and Miguel Cabrera ($6,900) in your lineup tonight.C: Victor Martinez (DET) vs. CLE--$3,900--When ever Ubaldo Jimenez is the opposing pitcher, it is hard not to try and stack hitters up against him considering how lousy he has pitched since coming over from the Rockies. In 16 career at-bats against Jimenez, Martinez has recorded six hits, including two home runs while driving in six runs. Martinez has been in a slump throughout the start of the season, but this is they type of matchup that could turn things around for him.1B: Lyle Overbay (NYY) @ KC--$3,500--When stacking your offense with some of the top hitter for daily fantasy, you have to take a hit somewhere, and today I am taking that hit at the starting pitcher position and first base. Overbay probably wouldn't be on a Major League roster if the Yankees weren't desperate this Spring, but he has performed well enough to consider him tonight. Overbay is 12-for-41 against the Royals starter James Shields, hitting three home runs and driving in seven runs. The downfall to this pick is that Shields has struck him out eight times, which could turn into a negative real quick if Shields is on his A Game.2B: Robinson Cano (NYY) @ KC--$5,900--Cano comes in as the play of the day, considering his success against James Shields over his career. In 75 at-bats against Shields, Cano has recorded 31 hits, including 14 extra-base hits while driving in 12 runs. Four of those extra base hits are the home run variety, and hitting .283 at Kauffman Stadium over the last three years is just the icing on the cake. He comes in as the second highest priced player, but he should be worth every penny considering all the factors that are in play.SS: Jhonny Peralta (DET) vs. CLE--$3,700--It seems like every week the shortstop position is the last one I fill and Peralta is always there at a cheap price to help me out. For some reason Peralta hasn't been getting much love on daily fantasy sites this season, despite putting up solid numbers, hitting in one of the best lineups. Peralta is 6-for-22 lifetime against Indians starters Ubaldo Jimenez, with for extra base hits and three walks. To add to that, Peralta has now recorded two hits in five of his last six games, so use him while he is hot.3B: Miguel Cabrera (DET) vs. CLE--$6,900--s you already know, I am pretty confident that the Tigers will dismantle Ubaldo Jimenez tonight, after using both Victor Martinez and Jhonny Peralta already in my lineup. Cabrera is 12-for-35 lifetime against Jimenez with one home run and six RBI, with factors out to be a .343 batting average. His price is extremely steep tonight, like all nights, but this is the type of matchup you will want to exploit at all costs, so pony up the cash if you want to be victorious.OF: Alex Gordon (KC) vs. NYY--$4,800--Despite poor lifetime stats against Yankees starter Andy Pettitte (2-for-12 2 K), Gordon is someone everyone should be trying to get in their lineups tonight. In five of his last 10 games, Gordon has had multi-hit performances, including three home runs over his last four games. Outside of Pettitte, Gordon has hit lefties well this season, going 22-for-50 with three home runs and 14 RBI. When you combine his success of late and his his stats against lefties it equals a recipe for success.OF: Matt Kemp (LAD) vs. MIA--$4,700--The Dodgers may be slumping as of late, but don't look now, Kemp has now extended his hit streak to nine games. It has taken a month or so for Kemp to finally heat up, but now that he is rolling, it is hard not to target him in daily fantasy contests. His price tag is extremely cheap for what he is capable of doing on any given night, which won't stay that way if he keeps up his current streak. Marlins pitcher Kevin Slowey has pitched well this season, but tonight could be the night the Dodgers turn their season around, with Kemp being the main reason, so try and get him in your lineup. You won't be disappointed.OF: Nelson Cruz (TEX) @ HOU--$4,100--It is usually all or nothing when dealing with Cruz, and tonight I think is one of those nights where he cold just go off. Cruz has hit Erik Bedard well over the course of his career, going 6-for-17 with two home runs and three RBI. Not to mention, Cruz has been great against lefties this season, batting .381 with four home runs and nine RBI in 42 at-bats. Considering the power in the Rangers lineup, expect to see Bedard get roughed up tonight with Cruz being one of the ringleaders.Total Salary: $49,500Always pay close attention to the weather!
