Fantasy Baseball Daily League Sleepers and Value Plays for May 8th
by Michael Pichan (@FantasyNomad)

P Anibal Sanchez Tigers ($16,750, 16.75% of cap at Draft Day Play Now) sports a nifty 1.82 ERA with three wins thus far and will be facing a Nationals team that has scored the third fewest runs in the National League on the season and are top five in strikeouts thus far in the month of May among NL teams. (Game Time 7:05 est)
OF Alex Gordon Royals ($8,182, 8.2 % of cap at Draft Street Play Now): I like that Gordon is a lefty bat versus theright Chris Tillman, in hitter friendly Camden Yards, and in a small sample size Gordon is 2-for-6 with a home run off of Tillman. (Game Time 7:05 est)
OF Nick Swisher Indians ($5,000, 8.0% of cap at Fan Throwdown Play Now): The Indians are one of the hottest scoring teams in the American League right now having scored the third most runs so far for the month of May, and Swisher is a switch hitter going against the Aâs A.J. Griffin who has allowed four home runs in his last three outings. All three of Swisherâs home runs this year have come at home and he is 2-for-4 with a home run off of A.J. Griffin. (Game Time 7:05 est)
OF Marcell Ozuna Marlins ($7,300, 7.3% of cap at Draft Day Play Now): While Ozuna may have a hard time locating a fly ball, he has not had any problems locating pitches at the plate as he is off to a blazing start having hit safely in 13 of his first 31 at-bats (.419) with six extra base hits and four multi-hit games in his first eight games in the big leagues and has the most hits of any player to start the month of May. In addition, Ozuna is still coming at a decent value as his price tag at most sites has yet to increase much. (Game Time 3:40 est)
1B Allen Craig Cardinals ($7,810, 7.8% of cap at Draft Street Play Now): Craig has been one of the hottest hitters in the month of May as he is tied for fourth in hits, tied for second in RBI, and tied for sixth in runs scored in all of baseball, but his price tag at most sites has him as a middle of the pact first baseman. (Game Time 2:20 est)
SS Zack Cozart Reds ($4,800, 4.8% of cap at Star Street Play Now): Mike Minor, the opposing pitcher today, on the road, in the Redsâ band box they call home, has been plagued by the long ball for much of his early career and has allowed two home runs in each of his last two starts. And, the right-handed hitting Cozart took advantage in his first matchup with Minor going 2-for-4 with a home run. (Game Time 12:35 est)
2B Ben Zobrist Rays ($97,000, 9.7% of cap at Daily Joust Play Now): The Rays and the switch hitting Zobrist have the luxury of facing the Jays Ricky Romero tonight, a pitcher that most everyone has had a field day with, especially Zobrist who is 9-for-30 (.300) with two home runs off of Romero in his career, yet is only the 10th ranked second baseman today at Daily Joust. (Game Time 7:10 est)
