Fantasy Baseball Daily League Sleepers and Value Plays for May 16th

  • P Matt Latos Reds ($16,682, 16.7 % of cap at  Draft Street - Play Now):  My co-host of the Fantasy Baseball Breakdown Show will be elated to see my recommend Latos, as I am not a big fan of his, and usually refer to him by the fake twitter account out there @Fat_Mat_Latos, so for me to recommend him despite my lack of overall year long confidence in him means he must be a good option to consider as he faces the Miami Marlins and the game is not in GABP. (Game Time 7:05 pm est)
  • OF Dayan Viciedo ($78,000, 7.8% of cap at Daily Joust - Play Now): Viciedo has been on a tear of late batting .444 in his last six games, has homered in back-to-back games, and is 5-for-5 with a home run vs. Jerome Williams. (Game Time 10:05 pm est)
  • OF Jason Bay Mariners ($2,800, 8.0% of cap at Fan Duel - Play Now): As much as Jason Bay has disappointing the last few years, he has had pretty good success against the lefty Andy Pettite going 14-for-35 with a home run, and the game is in hitter friendly Yankee Stadium. (Game time 7:05 est)
  • 3B Pablo Sandoval Giants ($7,500, 12.5% of cap at Fan Throwdown - Play Now): His price tag is a little higher than I normally target/recommend, but on a night with just eight night games the pickings are a little slimmer and for a player with his power playing in Coors Field, and his track  record against Jhoulys Chacin (7-for-17 with two home runs), 12..5% of your cap is a discount in my book. (Game Time 8:40 pm est)
  • 1B/DH Adam Dunn White Sox  ($5,100, 5. % of cap at Star Street - Play Now ): I'm sticking with Adam Dunn again today as he delivered yesterday and I like the LHH Dunn (6-for-21 .286 with a home run) vs. the RHP Jerome Williams. (Game Time 10:05 pm est)
  • 3B/SS Yuniesky Betancourt Brewers ($5,165, 5.2% of cap at Draft Street - Play Now): His price has dropped at most sites, and comes  a better bargain  at Draft Street.  I like the discount and the righty/lefty match up between him and the erratic Francisco Liriano and Betancourt is eligible at SS at Fan Duel. (Game Time 7:05 pm est)
Team to Stack: If you are looking for an overall team to stake with, where some of the players come at a discount like Pedro Alvarez or Garrett Jones, consider the Pirates hitters versus Brewers RHP Hiram Burgos.
