  • P Lance Lynn Cardinals ($14,050, 14 % of cap at  Draft Day - Play Now):  Today is not a good day to pinch pennies on starting pitching as only eight of the 18 pitchers scheduled for the night games have winning records, and the majority of the pitchers with a winning record are not necessarily appealing as they either have unfavorable matchups or they are just not as good as their record may indicate. Thus I give you Lance Lynn, who among those pitchers I would feel most confident in and he comes at a slightly better value. Lynn has been a top 20 Fantasy pitcher this season and he faces a Mets team that has scored the fewest runs of any National League team in the month of May. (Game Time 7:05 pm est)
  • OF Cody Ross Diamondbacks ($4,800, 8.0% of cap at Fan Throwdown - Play Now):  With a lefty on the mound tonight (Braves Mike Minor) it is likely that Cody Ross will get the start in left field over the RHH Jason Kubel. Ross is 4-for-6 with two home runs off of Minor in his career and Minor has allowed five home runs in his last three starts combined after allowing just one in his first four starts. (Game Time 9:40 pm est)
  • OF David Murphy ($6,065, 6.1% of cap at Draft Sreet - Play Now): I recommended Murphy yesterday even though he had been struggling most of the season, and he delivered with a home run, two RBI, and a run scored. So, I am gonna to go to the well again with this horse, pun intended. The LHH Murphy gets another RHP, this time A.J. Griffin who has allowed multiple home runs in three of his last four starts.  (Game Time 10:05 pm est)
  • OF/1B Brandon Moss Athletics ($4,600, 4.6 % of cap at   Star Street - Play Now ): I like the the lefty/righty match up for the LHH hitting Brandon Moss who has hit four of his five home runs off of right handed pitching this season and his opponent tonight, RHP Justin Grimm has allowed a home run in each of his last two starts and a combined eight earned runs in his last 11.2 innings pitched. (Game Time 10:05 pm est)
  • 2B Dan Uggla Braves ($73,000, 7.3% of cap at Daily Joust - Play Now): I once heard the great announcer Vin Scully say that Uggla means owl in the Swedish, and some of you may say "whoo" the @%#* would want to roster Dan Uggla and his .195 average. Well Uggla was a top five second baseman last week and he is 2-for-3 with a home run off the lefty Wade Miley. So put Uggla in your lineup, put on some Outkast, and bob your head singing "Hootie  Hoo" and let's hope Uggla's recent success can continue for at least one more night. (Game Time 9:40 pm est)
  • 3B Pedro Alvarez Pirates ($4,700, 4.7 % of cap at   Star Street - Play Now ): The LHH Pedro Alvarez has not had much success against the Brewers RHP Marco Estrada in his young career (3-for-15), but Alvarez has a home run off of him and is hitting .353  (6-for-17 with a home run), with an OPS of .921 in his last five games. Estrada, on the other hand, continues to be plagued by the long ball having allowed at least one home run in each of his seven starts and multiple home runs in three of those starts. (Game Time 7:05 pm est)
  • Update: Matt Adams not in starting lineup....1B Matt Adams Cardinals ($7,400, 7.4% of cap at  Draft Day - Play Now): If Matt Adams starts tonight you’ll want to get him in your lineup. He’s averaging 17.4 PPG at Draft Day, which is more than Albert Pujols, Freddie Freeman, and teammate Allen Craig to name a few higher priced first baseman. Adams is a lefty and the Mets are starting RHP Jeremy Hefner who has a ridiculously high 20% HR/FB rate this season, with six of his eight home runs allowed being to left handed hitters who are batting a robust .352 against him, giving the often called "Fat" Adams a more appealing moniker tonight in "PHAT" Adams. Be sure to check http://www.rotoinfo.com/lineups.php MLB Lineup Grid after about 5 pm EST to verify he’s in the lineup and, if so, he’s definitely worth strong consideration. (Game Time 7:00 pm est)
