Fantasy Baseball Daily League Sleepers and Value Plays for May 12th

• P Gio Gonzalez Nationals ($298,000 29.8 % of cap at  Daily Joust - Play Now):  Gonzalez has been up and down this season having allowed five or more runs in three of his first seven starts this season, which has caused his price to drop at most sites. Gonzalez is at home Sunday where he has a 3.38 ERA (compared to a 7.71 road ERA) and is holding opponents to an impressive .167 average. And, Gonzalez has struck out at least five hitters in all but one of his starts this season. (Game Time 1:35 pm est)

• OF Carlos Quentin Padres ($6.900, 6.9% of cap at  Draft Day - Play Now):  In nine at-bats against Fausto Camona/Roberto Hernandez, Carlos Quentin has three hits, two of them have been home runs. Gotta love that ratio! (Game Time 1:40 pm est)

• OF David Murphy ($5,753, 5.6% of cap at Draft Sreet - Play Now): The LHH Murphy has struggled versus RHP, well really all pitching, but I like the matchup against the Astros righty Jordan Lyles. Murphy does have nine extra base hits versus RHP and in a small sample size he is 3-for-4 with a home run and two walks in his career agains Lyles.   (Game Time 2:10 pm est)

• C Martin Maldonado Brewers ($55,000, 5.5% of cap at Daily Joust - Play Now): Catcher is usually the place I try and save the most money and today you get Maldonado at the mininum price at Joust, pretty enticing as Maldonado is batting in the fifth spot of the Brewers lineup today and 2-for-5 with a home run and a double against Bronson Arryo. (Game Time 1:10 pm est)

• 1B/DH Nick Swisher Indians ($6,400, 6.4 % of cap at   Star Street - Play Now ): Aprils showers have brought May taters for Nick Swisher who has five home runs in his eight May games played with 13 RBI and he gets to face Tigers RHP Rick Porcello. Swisher is 6-for-16 with a slash line of .375..444/.688) against Porcello for his career. (Game Time 1:05 pm est)

• 3B/C Josh Donaldson Athletics ($9,100, 15.2% of cap at Fan Throwdown - Play Now): RHH Josh Donaldson homered Saturday, going 2-for-4 with an RBI and a run scored. It was Donaldson's second home run in the past three games and his hitting .301 on the season with five home runs (17 extra base hits), 25 RBI, and 19 runs scored and he is 6-for-11 (.545) with two doubles versus the LHP Joe Saunders. And at Fan Throwdown you have the luxury of using Donaldson at catcher if you choose. (Game Time 4:10 pm est)

• SS Asdrubal Cabrera Indians ($79,000, 7.9% of cap at  Daily Joust - Play Now): The Indians and the switch-hitting Asdrubal are probably drolling at the prospects of facing Tigers RHP Rick Porcello today. Caberera is 13-for-34, .382 life-time versus Porcello. (Game Time 1:05 pm est)
