Fantasy Baseball Daily League Sleepers and Value Plays for May 10th

[caption id="" align="alignnone" width="594"] Rangers SP Alexi Ogando[/caption]
  • P Alexi Ogando Rangers ($11,833, 11.8 % of cap at  Draft Street - Play Now): If Ogando can hold the Red Sox (tied for second in baseball in runs scored) to one earned run, as he did in his last start, he should be able to have some success against Houston, as he did back on April 3rd  when he pitched 6.1 shut-out innings, striking out. (Game Time 8:10 pm est).    (Note: I do want to point out that Reds SP Tony Cingrani is undervalued at Fan Throwdown at only about 13% of your salary cap compared to like 30% at Star Steet or 14-15% at our other affiliates).
  • OF Josh Hamilton Angels ($55,000, 5.5 % of cap at  Daily Joust - Play Now ): I have recommended him the last few days and he has provided having hit a home run in each of his last two games and his price has yet to increase much, if at all across all DFS, and is at the player minimum price at Daily Joust. Although all of Hamilton's home runs have come against Houston pitching this season, I like his match up tonight as he will be facing the RHP Dylan Axelrod in hitter friendly U.S Cellular Field. (Game Time 8:10 pm est)

  • OF Nick Markakis Orioles ($8,250, 8.3 % of cap at  Draft Day - Play Now):  The LHH Markakis is 2-for-6 with a home run against the RHP Mike Pelfrey. Although that is a small sample size, Pelfrey's struggles are not, as he has allowed four or more earned runs in four of his last five starts and was pretty bad his last full season with the Mets. (Game Time 8:10 pm est)
  • OF/1B Lance Berkman Rangers ($5,400, 9.0% of cap at Fan Throwdown - Play Now): Like the positional flexiblity and the match up against Dallas Keuchel. Seriously does a pitcher with the twitter handle @kidkeuchy really worry you? (Game Time 8:10 pm est)
  • 1B Mitch Moreland Rangers ($6,050, 6.0% of cap at Draft Day - Play Now): Moreland is tied for the American League lead in hits (10) the last seven days with Rays 1B James Loney. Unlike Loney, who may be a popular pick today, Moreland has three home runs to Loney's zero over this span. (Game Time 8:10 pm est)

  • SS J.J Hardy Orioles ($71,000, 7.1% of cap at Daily Joust - Play Now): Hardy is 8-for-22 with three home runs, three RBI, and three runs scored over his last seven games and he gets a favorable match up against the Twins Mike Pelfrey. (Game Time 8:10 pm est)
  • 2B Derek Dietrich Marlins ($2000, 2.0% of cap at Star Street - Play Now): You may say who? I say who doesn't like Double-D's. I have owned Dietrich in multiple dynasty leagues, so I have had him on my radar for a while and this kid has some power, (he has been compared to Dan Uggla by some, for what that is worth). I like the lefty/righty match up and he is facing the Dodgers Matt Magill and his seven plus ERA. (Game Time 10:10 pm est)
