Fanduel Friday\'s: Week 9

But before you go and sign up at Fanduel.com there’s this – wouldn’t you like to know who to play? Now I’m not going to tell you who my team is, after all you will be competing against me each week, but that doesn’t mean I won’t offer some helpful advice each week. So have at it folks. Here are some Week 9 thoughts.

QUARTERBACK RECOMMENDATIONS

Terrelle Pryor, Raiders ($7,300): Five interceptions the past two games is troubling, but the Eagles can't stop anyone through the air as they've allowed the 8th most fantasy points to quarterbacks this season.

Jake Locker, Titans ($6,700): Do you want to drop $3,000 more to get Aaron Rodgers in your lineup? Locker has thrown for eight scores and just one interception in his last four games and has a moderate matchup with the Rams this week.

RUNNING BACK RECOMMENDATIONS

Eddie Lacy, Packers ($6,800): He's the only game in town having gone for more than 95 yards from scrimmage in 4-straight games. The Bears are also beat up on defense, they're a shell of the top shelf D they were last year, and they're allowing running backs an average of 133.4 yards from scrimmage a game this year.

Darren Sproles, Saints ($6,300): He's been terribly hit or miss this season but overall he's still been a top-15 RB in PPR leagues. He faces the Jets who do a good job against runners on the ground but are not quite as effective against runners in the passing game.

WIDE RECEIVER RECOMMENDATIONS

Keenan Allen, Chargers ($6,000): Since Week 4 when he emerged Allen has been a top-20 fantasy wideout, and that's even with the Bye last week. He should have another fine outing coming off four games with an average of six receptions and 92 yards.

Danny Amendola, Patriots ($5,800): Injuries, ineffectiveness, and a struggling Tom Brady aside, how is Amendola cheaper than Greg Jennings ($5,900)? Another week removed from injury, I wouldn't be shocked to see Amendola double his target total from last week (six).

TIGHT END RECOMMENDATIONS

Tim Wright, Buccaneers ($4,900): Mike Williams is out for the year and Tiquan Underwood is underwhelming as his replacement. Look for Wright to continue to see his role grow in the offense as he's coming off a week in which he scored his first touchdown. He's also seen 20 targets the past three weeks.

Jared Cook, Rams ($4,800): Cook has done nothing since his Week 1 outburst where slightly more than 40 percent of his fantasy points for the season were accrued. So why recommend him? Players get super-hyped to face their old squads, especially when said player feels like he was dissed by his former employer.

KICKER RECOMMENDATIONS

The Saints have to be thought of as a 30 point producer this week versus the Jets. That makes Garrett Hartley ($5,000) an option. Graham Gano ($5,000) faces the Falcons. Why is that significant? The Falcons have allowed the second most points per week to the kicker. I know, who knew?

DEFENSE RECOMMENDATIONS

The Colts ($5,100) face off against a team in Houston that will have a starting QB with one game of experience and a backfield that is a total mess do to injuries. Seems like a solid time to use the old Colts. The Buccaneers ($5,000) are a a solid defense, and they get to take on a Seahawks team that was dismantled last time out by the Rams.
