DraftKings Recommended Lineup Week 9
Ready to turn $5 into $50k? @DraftKings is giving you the chance now, and it’s through one-day fantasy football games http://bit.ly/17fdiMC
All lineups are based off of a $50,000 salary cap featured at DraftKings, you best option in daily fantasy sports gaming. Lineups consist of a quarterback, two running backs, two wide receivers, one tight end,, one FLEX one kicker and one team defense.
QB: Tony Romo (DAL) vs. MIN--$9,200--Coming off of an emotional lost last week against the Lions, Tony Romo and the Cowboys will be ready to bounce back in a big way. The Vikings have allowed the fifth-most fantasy points per game to opposing quarterbacks at DraftKings, averaging 20.6 FPPG. The Cowboys will be getting DeMarco Murray back in the starting lineup, which will likely take away a few passing attempts from Romo, but not enough to make that big if a significance in his fantasy production. Expect Romo to finish in the top five among fantasy quarterbacks this week.
RB: Eddie Lacy (GB) vs. CHI--$6,600--After over a decade of dominance on the defensive side of the football, the Bears defense has taken a huge step backwards due to a handful of injuries at almost every position. This will open the door for Eddie Lacy to be a very productive running back this week, as the Bears have allowed the seventh-most fantasy points to opposing running backs this season. At DraftKings, the Bears are averaging 25.7 FPPG allowed, after five rushing touchdowns were given up over their last two games. With Jay Cutler out for the Bears, this game could get ugly, so expect the Packers to concentrate more on the ground game as the score rises.
RB: Ryan Mathews (SD) @ WAS--$5,300--Surprisingly, there is only one running back in the league that has rushed for 100 yards in back-to-back games, and that is Ryan Mathews. This week he is matched up against the Redskins defense, who has allowed the fourth-most fantasy points per game to running backs, averaging 28.5 FPPG at DraftKings. This game is expected to be very high scoring, with two sub-par defenses, so a big day should be in store for Mathews and the rest of the Chargers offense this afternoon.
WR: Dez Bryant (DAL) vs. MIN--$8,900--Not only are the Vikings bad against opposing quarterbacks, wide receivers have been giving them fits all season long. Averaging 41.2 FPPG to opposing wide receivers, the Vikings defense has been getting picked on all season when filling out daily fantasy sports lineups. Last week we saw Jordy Nelson go off for a huge week against this group, so Dez Bryant should have no problem making separation downfield. Expect Bryant to be a top 5 fantasy wide receiver this week.
WR: Keenan Allen (SD) @ WAS--$4,600--The Chargers passing game has been one of the biggest surprises this season, especially after losing their top two options for the season. This week the Chargers will travel cross country to take on the Redskins, who are giving up 42.4 FPPG to opposing wide receivers. At his current price, Allen continues to be a value at DraftKings, coming it at just over half of the value of the likes of Dez Bryant and Jordy Nelson, who are the top options at their position. As previously mentioned, this game is likely going to be high scoring, and Allen will likely be a major contributor to the high scoring affair.
TE: Martellus Bennett (CHI) @ GB--$3,900--With Jay Cutler out due to injury, the Bears offense will likely rely more on short to intermediate passing and a lot more rushing from Matt Forte. That type of offensive attack would be great for Martellus Bennett, who has been a reliable target in the Bears offense this season. Through seven games, the Packers are allowing the second-most fantasy points per game to opposing tight ends at DraftKings, averaging 17.2 FPPG. While I think it is somewhat of a gamble rolling with Bennett with a backup quarterback under center, at his price, he is worth a shot.
FLEX: Zac Stacy (STL) @ TEN--$3,900--The Rams have officially listed Zac Stacy as questionable for this week's game against the Titans, but everything that I have read indicates that he will be on the field. With that said, he is a great play today in DFS contests. Last week Stacy ran all over a good Seahawks defense for 134 yards on 26 carries, so this week's matchup should be a walk in the park. The Titans are giving up 26.0 FPPG to opposing running backs at DraftKings, and at a dirt cheap price, he should give a great return on this contest.
K: Adam Vinatieri (IND) @ HOU--$4,000--Since Week 3, Adam Vinatieri have scored at least 10 points per game, having missed only two field goals all season. This week going up against a tough Texans defense, the Colts will likely need to rely on his foot even more, making him a great play for Week 9. Expect another double-digit performance from him this week, making him a great DFS play despite the high price tag for his position.
DEF: Dallas Cowboys Defense/Special Teams vs. MIN--$3,400--We all know just how bad the Vikings offense is (outside of Adrian Peterson), so starting the Cowboys defense should not be much of a shocker. The Vikings offense ranks in the bottom half of all offensive categories, and if the Cowboys can put even a small amount of pressure on Christian Ponder, there should be plenty of opportunities for turnovers. Considering the price, there really isn't a better value play at the position, so give them a strong look if you plan on going cheap.
Total Salary: $49,800
