DraftKings Recommended Lineup Week 2Â
Ready to turn $5 into $50k? @DraftKings is giving you the chance now, and itâs through one-day fantasy football games http://bit.ly/17fdiMC
All lineups are based off of a $50,000 salary cap featured at DraftKings, you best option in daily fantasy sports gaming. Lineups consist of a quarterback, two running backs, two wide receivers, one tight end,, one FLEX one kicker and one team defense.QB: Michael Vick (PHI) vs. SD--$5,700--With the Chargers traveling across country on a short week to take on the Eagles, this matchup appears to be one of the best to exploit this week. The Eagles offense was firing on all cylinders Monday night, with Vick looking like he turned back the clock to his pre-incarcerated days (15-for-25-203 2 TD, 9-54-1 TD on the ground). Last week, the Chargers gave up the seventh-most fantasy points to opposing quarterbacks (346 pass yards/3 TD) and that was going up against a less-talented Matt Schaub. I expect Vick to eat the Chargers mediocre defense alive, finishing as one of the top quarterbacks in Week 2.RB:  Reggie Bush (DET)@ ARI--$7,300--Everyone knew Bush would have an immediate impact in the Lions offensive scheme, but did any see last week coming? Bush was a factor in both the rushing and passing game a week ago, going for 90 yards on 21 carries to go along with four receptions for 101 yards and a touchdown. The Cardinals defense looked pretty good last week, but the Lions offense is on a different level than what the Rams brought to the table. DraftKings scoring format is point per reception (PPR), making Bush an ideal running back to try and get into your starting lineup each week.RB: Darren McFadden (OAK) vs. JAC--$6,000--Is this going to be the year McFadden is able to stay healthy for all 16 games? Probably not, but now is the time to take advantage of his services before one of his typical leg injuries surfaces. Surprisingly, the Raiders offense looked pretty good a week ago with Terrelle Pryor under center, which is going to take some of the attention off of McFadden. The Jaguars allowed the fifth-most fantasy production to opposing running backs in Week 1, allowing just under 100 yards rushing and nine receptions in the passing game, and we all know how the Raiders love to get the ball into McFadden's hands no matter the type of play. This is an ideal spot to take advantage of his cheap price before he has what should be a breakout game.WR: DeSean Jackson (PHI) vs. SD--$5,100--As expected, Jackson seemed to have turned a new leaf under Chip Kelly Monday night, providing his fantasy owners with flashbacks of the player we first saw take the league by storm. Jackson finished Week 1 with seven catches for 107 yards and a touchdown on nine targets, which led the team in all three categories. The Chargers secondary allowed three touchdowns through the air in Week 1, and playing on a short week across country should lead to another disappointing outcome for the lackluster Bolts.WR: Demaryius Thomas (DEN) @ NYG--$8,000--Thomas finished Week 1 as one of the highest scoring wide receiver hauling in five receptions for 161 yards and two touchdowns on 11 targets in a win over the Ravens. This week, the Broncos will head to Metlife Stadium for a showdown between the Manning brothers, which is expected to be a very high scoring affair. There is no one in the Giants secondary that can cover Thomas and be successful, but then again there aren't many defensive backs that can win that battle. Thomas is in line to have a monster game, so don't worry about paying the high price, that is why you find value guys to compliment the studs.TE: Brent Celek (PHI) vs. SD--$3,100--Do you think I like the Eagles offense today? Celek makes for the third Eagles player on the list for today and for good reason. The Chargers allowed three touchdowns to the Texans tight ends in Week 1 and could not stop their offense in the red zone. If that is the case, quarterback Michael Vick will target him often to capitalize on the Chargers vulnerable secondary to make Celek a great value pick at tight end in Week 2.FLEX: Calvin Johnson (DET) @ ARI--$8,100--Considering how cheap I went at quarterback and tight end, it left a lot of cap space to be used at the FLEX position. Johnson was rather quiet in Week 1 finishing with only four catches for 37 yards on nine targets, but also had a touchdown overturned which would have made his end line respectable. The Cardinals defense is on the rise, but the youngsters in their secondary are no match for Johnson and the Lions air attack. Obviously it is hard to have both Johnson and Demaryius Thomas in your starting rosters due to their high price tags. If you can, go for it.K: Greg Zuerlein (STL) @ ATL--$3,200--The Rams offense is a lot better than a season ago, but as we saw a week ago, they still have trouble getting into the end zone. Zuerlein is one of the best up-in-coming kickers in the league, and when playing indoors, he is just about automatic. Last week, Zuerlein was four-for-four in field goal attempts which led to him being one of the top scoring kickers in fantasy football. Odds are the Rams once again move the ball into field goal range with Zuerlein's leg getting a nice workout in what should be a game the Rams can take.DEF: Oakland Raiders DST vs. JAC--$3,000--Unless you were living under a rock last Sunday, then you already know how bad the Jaguars offense looked in Week 1. This week they travel to the Black Hole, where they will meet a Raiders team off of a tough loss to the Colts. The Raiders defense wasn't too impressive last week, but the Colts offense is on a different planet than what the Jaguars will bring to the table. This is the cheapest price you can get a defensive group for on DraftKings, so this is a great opportunity save money for top skill players.Total Salary: $49,500Be sure to join me live in Rotoinfo.com's new chat room before setting your lineup every Sunday as I answer all your last minute start/sit decisions.
