Today’s DFS MLB Hitting Coach article will go through the nine-game all-day slate that will start at 12:35 PM ET (well, at least on FanDuel, as it is the only site that will include the Phillies/Reds game).

Please, please, please be careful though. Right now, it looks like quite a few games on the east coast are in danger of being rained out. Don’t be that guy who plays a bunch of players who will give you an AUTOMATIC donut. At this point, Marlins/Nationals and Astros/Yankees seem like they are the most in danger of a rainout, but I'd still keep a close eye on Twins/Orioles and Red Sox/Indians.

For the most part, players are listed in order of highest in salary to lowest. Let's get things rolling!

Buster Posey is simply the best when we narrow things down at the catcher position. He possesses a career line of .329/.387/.564 against left-handed pitching, and has had success in limited action against Alex Wood.

Welington Castillo may still be playing with a chip on his shoulder considering the way he was treated in Wrigleyville last season. He had seven at-bats against the Cubs after he was traded to Arizona, going 4-for-7 (.571 AVG) with a homer and two doubles.

Miguel Montero is usually a forgotten man playing behind the likes of Rizzo, Heyward, Bryant, and Schwarber, but he is at a sensational price throughout the industry, and faces Rubby De La Rosa who allowed the 3rd most homeruns in the Majors in 2015.

Chris Davis went yard last night against Kyle Gibson, and has a shot to do it again tonight against Phil Hughes, who allowed 29 homeruns last season (tied for 6th worst in MLB).

Adrian Gonzalez is only 5-for-23 (.217 AVG) against Jake Peavy, but three of those five hits went out of the ballpark.

Albert Pujols had a great Spring Training, but like most of the Angels, hasn’t been able to get much going in his first two games. That could change tonight, as he faces Derek Holland who he has gone 8-for-23 (.348 AVG) with three homers in their previous meetings.

Yonder Alonso has faced a Mat Latos quite a few times in the National League, and has certainly better of the veteran right-hander. He is 6-for-8 (.750 AVG) against Latos with no strikeouts.

Dee Gordon is still looking to steal his first base of the season, and may have a few shots today considering he has gotten on base four out of six times against Tanner Roark.

**Keep in mind, at the time of this writing, the weather in D.C. looks pretty bad. Don’t play him unless you know the game is going to be played**

Rougned Odor may be the ultimate contrarian play tonight considering it’s going to be a lefty vs. lefty matchup against Hector Santiago. Still, I’m more compelled to ignore that when I see a line of 9-for-17 (.529 AVG), a homer, and three doubles.

Jed Lowrie has looked good in his return to Oakland, and will face Mat Latos, who he has destroyed to the tune of 5-for-8 (.625 AVG), two homers, two doubles, and five RBIs.

Manny Machado loves to face Phil Hughes. He has gone 8-for-16 with a homer against him, and has yet to strikeout in 18 plate appearances.

Maikel Franco has a seven-game hitting streak if you go back to his time in Spring Training. He faces a rookie in Robert Stevenson who allowed a .298 AVG against righties in AAA Louisville last season.

Adrian Beltre has hit three homers against the fly-ball prone Hector Santiago. It also helps that the future Hall-of-Famer has  a line of .292/.365/.491 against left-handed pitching throughout his career.

Justin Turner is probably going to continue to be ignored whenever he faces a righty like Jake Peavy, but once again, he has gone .320/.383/.485 against righties over the last three seasons.

Carlos Correa went “double dong” last night against the Yankees, and will see some fastballs against Nathan Eovaldi. Eovaldi may throw extremely hard, but his fastballs and sliders (-6.1 and -3.5 respectively) were below value, and Correa is excellent against fastballs and sliders (6.6 and 6.7 respectively). It also helps that Eovaldi throws fastballs over 48% of the time.

**Keep in mind, at the time of this writing, the weather in NYC looks pretty bad. Don’t play him unless you know the game is going to be played**

Jean Segura has been able to parlay a great Spring Training to three consecutive multi-hit games. He has a chance to extend that streak tonight against John Lackey, who he has gone 8-for-19 (.421 AVG) against in their previous meetings.

Marcus Semien has a good history against his former team, going 12-for-39 (.308 AVG) and a homerun. His matchup against Mat Latos isn’t too shabby either.

Mike Trout is still Mike Trout, and I wouldn’t be surprised if he goes ham tonight against Derek Holland, who he has put up a line of .312/.385/.625 with two homers against throughout his career.

Kyle Schwarber is terrible against southpaws, but was flat out dominant against right-handed pitching in 2015. He was able to put up a line of .278/.396/.557 and 14 homeruns in just 176 at-bats.

Dexter Fowler doesn’t have as much power compared to Schwarber, but he is an OBP darling that lit up the Angels the first two games of the season. He is currently 5-for-8 (.625 AVG) with a homer, double, and four runs scored.

Jay Bruce is 8-for-30 (.267 AVG) with two homers, three doubles, a triple, and three stolen bases against Charlie Morton.

Josh Reddick faces Mat Latos of the White Sox, who just isn’t the same pitcher he was in his prime with the Padres and Reds. Last season, he allowed a line of .286/.333/.469 and eight homers against left-handed hitters.

Billy Hamilton has only six plate appearances against Charlie Morton, but he was able to get two hits, steal two bases, and score two runs. Unless Hamilton is against Jon Lester (who can't hold anyone at first base), I generally view him as more of a GPP play.

Craig Gentry is going to get plenty of playing time against left-handed pitching this season. He will be batting from the two-hole, in front of Mike Trout, whenever he does get the start.
