American League Bullpen ReportBaltimore Orioles(CL) Solid Jim Johnson (R)âCollected his 20th save of the season Thursday after pitching a 1-2-3 ninth inning. John has now put his rough outings behind him, having pitch five straight scoreless innings, so there is no reason to think that he is going to lose his job at this point. 10 PC-6 ST (6/6/13)
(SU) Darren OâDay (R)âPicked up his ninth hold of the season Thursday after pitching 1.2 innings of relief allowing one hit while striking out two batters. With this appearance O'Day lowered his earned-run average to 1.67 on the year, as he continues to build on his best season as a professional. 21 PC-15 ST (6/6/13)
(MR) Brian Matusz (L)--Earned his ninth hold of the season Thursday after striking out the only batter he faced to end the eighth inning. Matusz has now pitched back-to-back days, but only threw six pitches on Thursday, so he should be available if needed on Friday. 6 PC-3 ST (6/6/13)
Injured-- Pedro Strop (Back)Boston Red Sox(CL) Solid Andrew Bailey (R)--Picked up the win on Thursday after pitching a scoreless ninth inning in a tied ballgame, allowing one hit while striking out one batter. Bailey has now pitched back-to-back days, but has now pitched twice in the last week, so there is a chance he could still be used if a save situation arises. 22 PC-16 ST (6/6/13)
(SU) Koji Uehara (R)âPitched a scoreless eighth inning on Thursday retiring all three batters he faced in order. Uehara has now pitched consecutive days, but kept a low pitch count in both contests, so there is a possibility that he will he available for the series opener against the Angels. 10 PC-7 ST (6/6/13)
(MR) Junichi Tazawa (R)--Pitched a scoreless seventh inning on Thursday allowing two hits on 16 pitches thrown. Like both Andrew Bailey and Koji Uehara, Tazawa has now pitched back-to-back days, so there is a chance he will not be available to ptich on Friday night. 16 PC-10 ST (6/6/13)
Injured--Joel Hanrahan (Forearm)Chicago White Sox(CL) Solid Addison Reed (R)âPicked up the win on Wednesday after pitching three innings of relief allowing five runs on five hits and one walk while striking out five batters. The White Sox ran out of options in extra innings, so Reed was forced to stay in the game logging the longest outing of his career, and will not be available on Thursday after throwing 55 pitches. 55 PC-41 ST (6/5/13)
(SU) Jesse Crain (R)âPitched a scoreless ninth inning on Thursday in a non-save situation retiring all three batters he faced in order. Crain has now pitched back-to-back days, but taking into consideration he has logged low pitch counts, he should be available on Friday night. 8 PC-7 ST (6/6/13)
(MR) Matt Thornton (L)âTook the loss on Thursday night after surrendering one run on two hits in the 10th inning. The big blow came off the bat of Adam Rosales, which turned into the game-winner for the Athletics, which gives Thornton an 0-2 record on the season. 24 PC-17 ST (6/6/13)Cleveland Indians(CL) Shaky Vinny Pestano (R)--Pitched a scoreless eighth inning on Wednesday allowing one hit while striking out two batters on 17 pitches. Pestano has yet to be sued in a save situation since taking over the closer role for the injured Chris Perez, but should get plenty of opportunities considering there is no time table set for Perez's return. 17 PC-10 ST (6/5/13)
(SU) Joe Smith (R)--Retired the only batter he faced on Wednesday in the seventh inning on four pitches, forcing a fly ball out the end the frame. Smith has been used sparingly over the last week, so expect to see much more of him in this weekend's series against the Tigers. 4 PC-2 ST (6/5/13)
(MR) Bryan Shaw (R)--Pitched 1.1 innings of relief on Friday night allowing one run on one hit while striking out one batter on 15 pitches thrown. Shaw has been very inconsistent this season, and if he keeps going down this road, he may see a decrease in his workload as the season progresses. 15 PC-11 ST (6/7/13)Detroit Tigers(CL) Solid Jose Valverde (R)âWas used in a non-save situation on Friday night allowing two home runs in the ninth inning, but was able to lock down a victory for the Tigers. Valverde has struggled over the last three appearances, allowing six runs over 2.2 innings, and has now pitched back-to-back days, so maybe a day off would be best for him to clear his head. 26 PC-19 ST (6/7/13)
(SU) Joaquin Benoit (R)âPitched a scoreless eighth inning on Friday night retiring all three batters he faced in order. Benoit has now pitched back-to-back days, so there is a chance he will be given the day off on Saturday, so those in holds leagues will want to plan accordingly. 15 PC-8 ST (6/7/13)
(MR) Phil Coke (L)--Pitched a scoreless ninth inning on Tuesday night in a non-save situation retiring all three batters he faced in order. Coke needed only 10 pitches to get the job done, forcing one ground ball out and one fly ball out while striking out one batter to seal the victory for the Tigers. 10 PC-6 ST (6/4/13)
Injuredâ Octavio Dotel (Shoulder)Houston Astros(CL) Shaky Jose Veras (R)âPitched a scoreless ninth inning on Wednesday night in a non-save situation allowing one hit while striking out two batters. Veras has been pitching well as of late, and has now struck out five batters over his last three innings of relief, which is not too shabby. 13 PC-10 ST (6/5/13)
(SU) Hector Ambriz (R)--Earned his 10th hold of the season Wednesday after recording the final two outs of the eighth inning. He allowed one hit in the appearance, but worked around it needing only eight pitches to force two ground ball outs to get the job done. 8 PC-5 ST (6/5/13)
(MR) Wesley Wright (L)âFailed to record an out his appearance on Friday night allowing one run on one hi in the eighth inning. Wright has struggled so far in 2013, and may start to see his usage decline if he doesn't start to turn things around. 6 PC-4 ST (6/7/13)Kansas City Royals(CL) Solid Greg Holland (R)âCollected his 11th save of the season Friday night after pitching a 1-2-3 ninth inning needing only 12 pitches to get the job done. Holland has now pitched three straight days, so expect hi to be given the day off on Saturday. 12 PC-9 ST (6/7/13)
(SU) Kelvin Herrera (R)--Picked up the win on Friday night after pitching a scoreless eighth inning retiring all three batters he faced in order. Herrera has now pitched two scoreless innings since returning to the Royals bullpen, and looks to have worked out the issues that forced management ot demote him earlier in the season. 18 PC-13 ST (6/7/13)
(MR) Aaron Crow (R)âPicked up his ninth hold of the season Wednesday after recording the final out of the seventh inning. Crow needed only three pitches to retire the only batter he faced in the inning, forcing a ground ball out to get the job done. 3 PC-1 ST (6/5/13)Los Angeles Angels(CL) Solid Ernesto Frieri (R)âPitched a scoreless ninth inning on Wednesday night in a non-save situation allowing one hit and one walk on 23 pitches thrown. Frieri has now pitched back-to-back days, but the Angels are off on Thursday, so expect him to be available for the first game of this weekend's series with the Red Sox. 23 PC-16 ST (6/5/13)
(SU) Scott Downs (L)âRecorded the final out of the sixth inning on Wednesday night needing only three pitches to force a ground ball out. It was surprising to see Downs used so early in the ballgame, but when you are dealing with Angels, it is really anyone's guess outside of the closer role. 3 PC-3 ST (6/5/13)
(MR) Kevin Jepsen (R)--Pitched a scoreless eighth inning on Wednesday night retiring all three batters he faced in order. Jepsen looked sharp in this contest, needing only 13 pitches to work through the appearance striking out two batters while forcing one ground ball out to get the job done. 13 PC-8 ST (6/5/13)
Injured:  Ryan Madson (Elbow), Sean Burnett (Elbow)Minnesota Twins(CL) Solid Glen Perkins (L)âRecorded his 12th save of the season on Tuesday night retiring all three batters he faced in order. (SU) Jared Burton (R)âTook the loss on Thursday after surrendering four runs on four hits in the eighth inning. He recorded only two outs in the inning before being pulled, in what was his worst outing of the year. 23 PC-15 ST (6/6/13)
(MR) Casey Fien (R)--Retired the only batter he faced in the seventh inning needing only three pitches to get the job done. With Jared Burton throwing 24 pitches Thursday, we may see Fien used in the setup role Friday if Burton is given the day off. 3 PC-2 ST (6/6/13)New York Yankees(CL) Elite Mariano Rivera (R)âRecorded his 21st save of the season on Tuesday night after pitching a scoreless ninth inning retiring all three batters he faced in order. Rivera has now pitched back-to-back days, but so has David Robertson, so there is a chance he will be used on Wednesday if a save situation arises. 14 PC-9 ST (6/4/13)
(SU) David Robertson (R)âEarned his 13th hold of the season on Tuesday after pitching a scoreless eighth inning allowing one hit and one walk on 18 pitches thrown. Robertson has now pitched back-to-back days, so there is a chance he will get the day off on Wednesday, but that is really a coin flip. 18 PC-12 ST (6/4/13)
(MR) Boone Logan (R)âPitched 0.2 innings of relief on Thursday night allowing one hit while striking out two batter on 14 pitches thrown. Over his last three appearances Logan has struck out four batters in 1.2 innings of relief, which is not too shabby for a pitcher not known for his dominance. 14 PC-9 ST (6/6/13)Oakland Athletics(CL) Solid Grant Balfour (R)âRecorded his 15th save of the season Friday night after pitching a scoreless ninth inning retiring all three batters he faced in order. Balfour has now pitched back-to-back days, but considering his low pitch counts, there is a chance he could be used if a save situation arises Saturday. 12 PC-8 ST (6/7/13)
(SU) Ryan Cook (R)--Earned his ninth hold of the season Friday night after pitching a scoreless eighth inning allowing one walk on 13 pitches thrown. With this appearance Cook is now sitting on a 1.93 earned-run average, with is just shy of closer Grant Balfour, who now has a 1.37 earned-run average. 13 PC-6 ST (6/7/13)
(MR) Sean Doolittle (L)âPitched a scoreless eighth inning on Thursday allowing one hit while striking out two batters on 16 pitches thrown. Doolittle has been struggling of late, so it was nice to see him get through a scoreless frame, so hopefully this will be the start of a trend. 16 PC-12 ST (6/6/13)Seattle Mariners(CL) Solid Tom Wilhelmsen (R)âRecorded his 15th save of the season Friday night after pitching a scoreless ninth inning allowing one hit while striking out one batter. After a few rough outings Wilhelmsen has seems to be moving forward, putting together back-to-back solid outings without allowing a run. 17 PC-10 ST (6/7/13)
(SU) Carter Capps (R)âPitched one inning of relief on Wednesday allowing two hits and one walk while striking out one batter on 23 pitches thrown. This was Capps' first appearance since last Saturday, so expect him to be available if needed on Thursday, despite the high pitch count. 23 PC-12 ST (6/5/13)
(MR) Charlie Furbush (L)âEarned his fourth hold of the season Friday night after striking out the only batter he faced in the eighth inning. Furbush recorded the final out of the eighth inning, which was his second straight appearance in which he faced only one batter. 9 PC-6 ST (6/7/13)
InjuredâStephen Pryor (back)Tampa Bay Rays(CL) Shaky Fernando Rodney (R)âRecorded his 13th save of the season on Friday night after pitching a 1-2-3 ninth inning. Rodney needed only nine pitches to work through the appearance forcing one ground ball out while striking out two batters to extend his scoreless innings streak to 6.1 innings. 9 PC-8 ST (6/7/13)
(SU) Joel Peralta (R)âPicked up his 16th hold of the season Friday night after pitching a scoreless eighth inning allowing one walk while striking out one batter on 22 pitches thrown. Peralta has pitched just 1.1 innings since last Sunday, so expect to see more of him over the next few days. 22 PC-13 ST (6/7/13)
(MR) Jake McGee (L)âPitched one inning of relief on Thursday allowing one run on one hit while striking out two batters on 14 pitches thrown. McGee left the contest early with a shin injury after taking a grounder off his log, so he should be considered day-to-day until more information is received. 14 PC-11 ST (6/6/13)Texas Rangers(CL) Elite Joe Nathan (R)âRecorded his 18th save of the season Wednesday after pitching a 1-2-3 ninth inning needing only 6 pitches to get the job done. This was not a dominating performance from Nathan, with three ground ball outs and zero strikeouts, but this just shows how effective he still is as he nears the back end of his career. 6 PC-5 ST (6/5/13)
(SU) Tanner Scheppers (R)âPitched a scoreless eighth inning on Thursday night allowing one walk while striking out two batters in a tied ballgame. Scheppers has now pitched back-to-back days, so he should not be expected to pitch on Saturday, so owners in  holds leagues should plan accordingly. 16 PC-7 ST (6/6/13)
(MR) Jason Frasor (R)âPitched 0.2 innings of relief on Thursday retiring both batters he faced to end the seventh inning. Frasor needed only eight pitches to work through the appearance, so expect hi to be used in the setup role on Friday with Tanner Scheppers pitching consecutive days. 8 PC-7 ST (6/6/13)
Injuredâ Joakim Soria (Elbow)Toronto Blue Jays(CL) Solid Casey Janssen (R)âCollected his 12th save of the season Wednesday after retiring the final two batters of the ninth inning needing only four pitches. Prior to the season the Blue Jays indicated that they would monitor Janssen closely after a reported shoulder injury, but the way he has been used thus far in 2013 has limited any chance of him having to miss anytime, so fantasy owners need not worry at this point. 4 PC-3 ST (6/5/13)
(SU) Steve Delabar (R)âPitched a scoreless ninth inning on Friday night in a non-save situation retiring all three batters he faced in order. This was Delabar's first appearance since last Sunday, so expect to see more of him over the next few days, especially in close games. 11 PC-9 ST (6/7/13)
(MR) Brett Cecil (L)--Pitched a scoreless eighth inning on Friday night needing only seven pitches to work through the appearance. Cecil retired all three batters he faced in order, forcing one ground ball out and two fly ball outs to get through the outing, extending his scoreless innings streak to 12.1 innings of relief. 7 PC-6 ST (6/7/13)
Injuredâ Sergio Santos (Triceps)Continue to Page 2 to view the National League Bullpen Report...
National League Bullpen Report Arizona Diamondbacks(CL) Shaky Heath Bell (R)âRecorded his 11th save of the season Friday night after pitching a scoreless ninth inning allowing one hit while striking out one batter. Bell has been excellent since taking over the closer role following J.J. Putz's injury, so the team will have a tough choice to make once Putz is healthy. 17 PC-13 ST (6/7/13)
(SU) David Hernandez (R)âPitched 1.2 innings of relief on Tuesday night allowing one hit while striking out one batter. Hernandez needed 22 pitches to work through the appearance, forcing four fly ball outs to go along with his strikeout to get the job done. 22 PC-15 ST (6/4/13)
(MR) Matt Reynolds (L)--Pitched two innings of relief on Thursday night allowing two runs on three hits and one walk. Reynolds needed 38 pitches to work through this appearance, which has likely earned him a day off, so don't expect to see him take the mound on Friday night. 38 PC-24 ST (6/6/13)
Injured: J.J. Putz (Elbow)Atlanta Braves(CL) Elite Craig Kimbrel (R)âPitched a scoreless ninth inning on Tuesday night in a non-save situation allowing one hit and one walk while striking out one batter. Kimbrel got himself into a jam, but was able to navigate around two base runners to keep the Braves within striking distance. 18 PC-11 ST (6/4/13)
(SU)  Cory Gearrin (R)--Pitched a scoreless ninth inning on Friday night in a non-save situation allowing one hit while striking out one batter. With this appearance Gearrin lowered his earned-run average to 1.80 on the season, and should continue to see the bulk of the hold opportunities for the Braves, considering their lack of depth due to injuries to their top arms. 12 PC-8 ST (5/31/13)
(MR)  Jordan Walden (R)--Pitched 0.2 innings of relief on Friday night allowing one walk on 15 pitches thrown. He was used to get the final two outs of the eighth inning after Paul Maholm took his start into the frame, and was able to get the job done by forcing one ground ball out and one fly ball out. 15 PC-6 ST (6/7/13)
Injuredâ Jonny Venters (Elbow),  Eric OâFlaherty (Elbow)Chicago Cubs(CL) Shaky Kevin Gregg (R)--Picked up the win on Wednesday despite allowing one run on two hits and one walk in 1.1 innings of relief. It wasn't the best of outings from Gregg, but after weeks of not contributing fantasy wise, it was nice to see him finally factor into a decision. 30 PC-16 ST (6/5/13)
(SU) Carlos Marmol (R)--Pitched a scoreless seventh inning Friday retiring all three batters he faced in order. Marmol has struggled as of late, but this showing did not indicate that, as he needed only 10 pitches to work through the appearance forcing one ground ball out while striking out two batters to get the job done. 10 PC-7 ST (6/7/13)
(MR) James Russell (L)--Pitched 1.2 innings of relief on Wednesday allowing one run on one hit and one walk while striking out one batter. Russell needed 25 pitches to get through the appearance, which was his second straight, but a scheduled day off on Thursday should give him enough rest to be back at it on Friday. 25 PC-13 ST (6/5/13)
Injured--Kyuji Fujikawa (Forearm)Cincinnati Reds(CL) Elite Aroldis Chapman (L)âRecorded his 15th save of the season on Monday night after pitching a scoreless ninth inning striking out three batters on 23 pitches thrown. Chapman has been on fire lately, striking out batters at a ridiculous clip, and could potentially top last season's strikeout total of 122 strikeouts if he keeps up his current pace. 23 PC-12 ST (6/3/13)
(SU) Jonathan Broxton (R)âPitched a scoreless ninth inning on Wednesday night in a non-save situation allowing one hit while striking out two batters on 16 pitches thrown. After a bad outing on Sunday, Broxton entered this contest on a mission and looks to have put that rough outing behind him. 16 PC-10 ST (6/5/13)
(MR) J.J. Hoover (R)--Pitched a scoreless ninth inning on Tuesday night in a non-save situation allowing one hit while striking out one batter on 16 pitches thrown. After a shaky start to the season, Hoover has settled down nicely, and should see enough hold opportunities to make him worth owning in deep holds leagues while Sean Marshall is out with an injury. 16 PC-10 ST (6/4/13)
Injured--Sean Marshall  (Shoulder)Colorado Rockies(CL) Shaky Rex Brothers (L)âPitched a scoreless ninth inning on Thursday night in a non-save situation allowing one hit and one walk while striking out one batter on 15 pitches thrown. Brothers got himself into a jam, but was able to work his way through it, to keep his scoreless innings streak in tact. 15 PC-8 ST (6/6/13)
(SU) Matt Belisle (R)--Picked up the win on Friday night after pitching two innings of scoreless relief retiring all six batters he faced in order. Belisle has now pitched back-to-back days, so expect him to get the day off on Saturday. 21 PC-15 ST (6/7/13)
(MR) Wilton Lopez (R)âPitched 0.1 innings of relief on Friday retiring the only batter he faced in the seventh inning on two pitches. Lopez has now pitched three consecutive days, so expect him to get a day off on Saturday. 2 PC-1 ST (6/7/13)
Injured-- Rafael Betancourt (Groin)Los Angeles Dodgers(CL) Shaky Brandon League (R)âPicked up the win on Friday night after pitching a scoreless 10th inning in a non-save situation allowing one hit on 14 pitches thrown. League forced two ground ball outs and one fly ball out to get through the appearance, and has now put pitched three straight scoreless innings. 14 PC-9 ST (6/7/13)
(SU) Kenley Jansen (R)âPitched 1.1 innings of relief on Friday night retiring all four batters he faced in order. Jansen recorded two strikeouts in the appearance while forcing two fly ball outs to keep the game tied at one heading into the bottom have of the eighth inning. 22 PC-14 ST (6/7/13)
(MR) Ronald Belisario (R)âRecorded the first out of the eighth inning on Wednesday night throwing only four pitches in the appearance. Belisario has now pitched back-to-back days, so don't expect o see him used on Thursday. 4 PC-3 ST (6/5/13)Miami Marlins(CL) Committee Steve Cishek (R)âWas charged with a blown-save on Tuesday night after surrendering a game-tying home run in the 10th inning. Cishek had only five saves going into Tuesday's contest, so the fact that he blew the save makes it even worse for those who are still holding onto hope. 21 PC-11 ST (6/4/13)
(CL) Committee Mike Dunn (L)--Pitched 1.1 innings of relief on Tuesday allowing one walk while striking out one batter on 16 pitches thrown. With Steve Cishek blowing another save, it will probably be Dunn who gets the next crack at the ninth inning, with the Marlins using a committee system. 16 PC-9 ST (6/4/13)
(CL) Committee A.J. Ramos (R)--Took the loss on Wednesday after surrendering five runs on five hits in the seventh inning. This was his worst outing of the season, and it does not help his case for future closing considerations, so hopefully he can turn things around in his next outing. 26 PC-14 ST (6/5/13)Milwaukee Brewers(CL) Shaky Francisco Rodriguez (R)--Picked up the win on Friday night after pitching a 1-2-3 ninth inning in a non-save situation. The Brewers expect to activate Jim Henderson from the disabled list on Sunday, so Saturday will likely be the last chance for Rodriguez to be beneficial to his fantasy owners. 17 PC-10 ST (6/7/13)
(SU) John Axford (R)âPitched 0.2 innings of relief on Friday night retiring the only two batters he faced in order on eight pitches. Axford hasn't allowed an earned-run since May 14, which gives him a streak of 11.2 scoreless innings, which has lowered his earned-run average to 5.13 after a terrible start to the season. 8 PC-6 ST (6/7/13)
(MR) Michael Gonzalez (L)--Pitched 0.1 innings of relief on Friday night allowing one walk on 17 pitches thrown. Gonzalez recorded the first out of the eighth inning before being pulled, so expect to see him available Saturday considering how short this outing was for him. 17 PC-8 ST (6/7/13)
Injured-- Jim Henderson (Hamstring)New York Mets(CL) Solid Bobby Parnell (R)âTook the loss and was charged with his third blown-save on Tuesday after surrendering two runs on three hits and one walk in the ninth inning. Parnell had been pitching great as of late, so hopefully this appearance was just a bump in the road rather than a start of a downward trend. 21 PC-11 ST (6/4/13)
(SU) Brandon Lyon (R)âEarned his fifth hold of the season on Tuesday after pitching a 1-2-3 eighth inning. Lyon needed 13 pitches to work through the inning, forcing two fly ball outs while striking out one batter to keep the Mets in the lead. 13 PC-6 ST (6/4/13)
(MR) LaTroy Hawkins (R)--Pitched one inning of relief on Sunday surrendering three runs on three hits in arguably his worst outing of the season. Hawkins has now allowed four runs over his last two appearances, which has raised his earned-run average to 4.44 on the season. 17 PC-13 ST (6/2/13)
Injuredâ Frank Francisco (Elbow)Philadelphia Phillies(CL) Elite Jonathan Papelbon (R)âPitched a scoreless ninth inning on Tuesday night in a non-save situation retiring all three batters he faced in order. Papelbon wasn't available the last few days due to an undisclosed illness, so fantasy owners need not worry now that he was back on the mound in this contest. 13 PC-8 ST (6/4/13)
(SU) Mike Adams (R)--Pitched one inning of relief on Thursday night allowing one run on one walk needing 13 pitches to get through the appearance. Adams has yet to come into a zone since returning from the disabled list, but he has pitched good enough to make him serviceable in holds leagues. 13 PC-5 ST (6/6/13)
(MR) Antonio Bastardo (L)âPitched a scoreless ninth inning on Thursday night in a non-save situation allowing one hit while striking out one batter on 14 pitches thrown. After allowing runs in his last two appearances, Bastardo ended that streak in this contest, but is hard to trust at this point in the season. 14 PC-11 ST (6/6/13)Pittsburgh Pirates(CL) Elite Jason Grilli (R)âRecorded his 23rd save of the season on Friday after pitching a scoreless ninth inning allowing two hits while striking out three batters on 25 pitches thrown. Grilli got himself into some trouble, but was able to dig deep and dominate the opposition, adding three more strikeouts to his already above average season total. 25 PC-18 ST (6/7/13)
(SU) Mark Melancon (R)--Earned his 19th hold of the season Friday after pitching a scoreless eighth inning allowing one hit while striking out two batters. Melancon was able to bounce back from a disappointing outing last time out, and what it even more impressive is that he has now struck out five batters over his last 2.1 innings, which is unlike him. 23 PC-15 ST (6/7/13)
(MR) Tony Watson (L)--Pitched 1.1 innings of relief on Tuesday night allowing three walks while striking out one batter. Sometimes things just go your way, and that was the case on Tuesday for Watson, considering he didn't allow a run despite all the base runners. 23 PC-10 ST (6/4/13)
Injured-- Jose Contreras (Back)San Diego Padres(CL) Shaky Luke Gregerson (R)âPicked up the win on Thursday after pitching two innings of relief allowing one hit while striking out three batters. Gregerson has now pitched consecutive days, and considering his extended appearance on Thursday, there is a good chance he will not be available Friday night. 24 PC-16 ST (6/6/13)
(SU) Dale Thayer (R)âPitched one inning of relief on Thursday night allowing two runs on two hits needing 19 pitches to get through the appearance. Thayer had been pitching well prior to this meltdown, so maybe a day off after pitching back-to-back days will clear his head. 19 PC-12 ST (6/6/13)
(MR) Joe Thatcher (L)--Took the loss on Friday night after failing to record an out in the ninth inning allowing a game-winning home run to Nolan Arenado. Thatcher has now pitched back-to-back days, so expect him to get the day off on Saturday. 3 PC-2 ST (6/7/13)
Injured--Huston Street (Calf)San Francisco Giants(CL) Elite Sergio Romo (R)âRecorded his 16th save of the season Tuesday night after pitching a scoreless ninth inning allowing one hit on 20 pitches thrown. This appearance wasn't as dominating for Romo has we have seen through most of the season, but he was able to seal the win for the Giants and pickup the save for his fantasy owners., so that is all that matters. 20 PC-15 ST (6/4/13)
(SU) Jeremy Affeldt (L)--Took the loss on Friday night after allowing two runs on one hit and one walk in the eighth inning. Affeldt gave up a three-run home run on Paul Goldschmidt in the inning, which allowed the Diamondbacks to take the lead after failing to score prior to the inning. 18 PC-8 ST (6/7/13)
(MR) Javier Lopez (L)--Pitched 1.2 innings of relief on Wednesday allowing one hit while striking out one batter on 27 pitches thrown. Lopez has now pitched back-to-back days, so expect to see him get the day off on Thursday. 27 PC-17 ST (5/29/13)
Injured--Santiago Casilla (Knee)St. Louis Cardinals(CL) Solid Edward Mujica (R)âCollected his 18th save of the season Thursday after recording the final two outs of the ninth inning. The Cardinals had a seven-run lead going into the ninth inning, but Keith Butler allowed three runs in the inning, forcing the Cardinals to use Mujica to seal the deal for the 18th straight time. 6 PC-4 ST (6/6/13)
(SU) Trevor Rosenthal (R)--Pitched a scoreless ninth inning on Friday night in a non-save situation allowing one hit on 18 pitches thrown. Rosenthal has been pitching great as of late, and if he had pitched this way earlier in the season, he would likely have held onto the closer role when he had a chance, but he has no chance now considering how well Edward Mujica has been pitching. 18 PC-13 ST (6/7/13)
(MR) Victor Marte (R)--Took the loss on Tuesday night after allowing one run on one hit and two walks in the 14th inning. The Cardinals had already used they top bullpen arms earlier in the game, so they turned to Marte, but he was unable to keep the game tied up at six runs a piece. 32 PC-18 ST (6/4/13)

Storen has now pitched three consecutive days, so there is a good chance he will be given the day off on Sunday, so those in holds leagues will want to plan accordingly. 12 PC-7 ST (6/1/13)
(SU) Tyler Clippard (R)âPicked up the win on Tuesday after pitching a scoreless ninth inning in a tied ballgame, retiring all three batters he faced in order.

(SU) Carter Capps (R)âPitched one inning of relief on Wednesday allowing two hits and one walk while striking out one batter on 23 pitches thrown.

Injuredâ Jason Motte (Elbow), Fernando Salas (Shoulder)Washington Nationals(CL) Solid Rafael Soriano (R)--Recorded his 15th save of the season Friday night after pitching a 1-2-3 ninth inning striking out one batter. This appearance by Soriano was his first in a week, so expect him to be used often over the next few days. 9 PC-8 ST (5/31/13)
(SU) Drew Storen (R)âPitched a scoreless eighth inning on Saturday retiring all three batters he faced in order.
Clippard forced two fly ball outs while striking out one batter on 16 pitches thrown, so hopefully this appearance will get him moving in the right direction. 16 PC-10 ST (6/4/13)Matthew Beck is a Fantasy Sports Columnist for Rotoinfo.com.
