O'Day has now pitched back-to-back days, so there is a chance he will be give the day off on Tuesday, so don't be surprised to see Brian Matusz in the setup role. 9 PC-8 ST (6/10/13) (MR) Brian Matusz (L)--Pitched 0.2 innings of relief on Sunday allowing three runs on five hits before being pulled in favor on Tommy Hunter. This was Matusz's worst outing of the season, so hopefully he will be able to turn things around next time out. 24 PC-19 ST (6/9/13)Boston Red Sox(CL) Solid Andrew Bailey (R)--Was charged with his second blown-save of the season on Monday night after allowing two runs on two hits and three walks in the ninth inning. Uehara has pitched back-to-back days, but has thrown the least amount of pitches between the top three in the Red Sox bullpen, so he may be inline to close on Tuesday if a save situation arises. 16 PC-13 ST (6/10/13) (MR) Junichi Tazawa (R)--Pitched 1.1 innings of relief on Monday allowing one run on two hits in the appearance. With both Andrew Bailey and Koji Uehara pitching back-to-back days, there is a chance Tazawa is used in the close role if a save situation was to come up. 20 PC-12 ST (6/10/13) Injured--Joel Hanrahan (Forearm)Chicago White Sox(CL) Solid Addison Reed (R)–Pitched a scoreless ninth inning on Monday night in a non-save situation retiring all three batters he faced in order. Perkins has now pitched four straight scoreless relief appearances striking out five batters over that time frame, but has just five saves dating back to the middle of May, which limits his fantasy value. 17 PC-12 ST (6/8/13) (SU) Jared Burton (R)–Pitched a scoreless ninth inning on Saturday in a non-save situation retiring all three batters he faced in order. Burton only needed 11 pitches to work through the frame, forcing one ground ball out and one fly ball out while forcing one strikeout to extend the game into extra innings. 11 PC-7 ST (6/8/13) (MR) Casey Fien (R)--Pitched a scoreless eighth inning on Saturday retiring all three batters he faced in order. With this appearance Cook is now sitting on a 1.93 earned-run average, with is just shy of closer Grant Balfour, who now has a 1.37 earned-run average. 13 PC-6 ST (6/7/13) (MR) Sean Doolittle (L)–Took the loss on Saturday after surrendering three runs on three hits and one walk in the eighth inning. Had the Rangers known the game was going to go 18 innings they probably would have kept him on the mound for an extra frame, but at least now he will be fresh for Sunday. 19 PC-11 ST (6/8/13) Injured– Joakim Soria (Elbow)Toronto Blue Jays(CL) Solid Casey Janssen (R)–Was charged with a blown-save on Saturday after allowing two runs on two hits and one walk in the ninth inning. This marked just his second blown-save of the season, which forced an 18-inning affair, but in the end the Blue Jays were able to pull away and log the victory. 24 PC-15 ST (6/8/13) (SU) Steve Delabar (R)–Pitched one inning of relief on Monday night allowing three runs (zero earned) on three hits while striking out two batters on 32 pitches thrown. Lopez worked quickly in this appearance, forcing two ground ball outs to end the seventh inning. 4 PC-4 ST (6/9/13) Injured-- Rafael Betancourt (Groin)Los Angeles Dodgers(CL) Shaky Brandon League (R)–Took the loss and was charged with his fourth blown-save of the season Monday after surrendering four runs on four hits and one walk in the ninth inning. League had been pitching better as of late, but there is no way the Dodgers will be able to continue with him as their closer, so expect a chance in the near future, with Kenley Jansen eventually taking over the role. 25 PC-14 ST (6/10/13) (SU) Kenley Jansen (R)–Picked up his 16th hold of the season Monday after pitching a 1-2-3 eighth inning striking out one batter on 13 pitches thrown. With the recent struggles of Brandon League, Jansen will likely get a crack at the closer role in the near future, so it may be time to start stashing him where ever he is available. 13 PC-8 ST (6/10/13) (MR) Ronald Belisario (R)–Pitched 2.1 innings of relief on Sunday allowing one run on two hits while striking out two batters. Henderson was activated prior to the start of Sunday's game, and the Brewers wasted no time getting him back into the action, and he appears to have picked up right were he left off. 14 PC-10 ST (6/9/13) (SU) Francisco Rodriguez (R)--Recorded his fourth save of the season Saturday after pitching a scoreless ninth inning for the second consecutive day. With Jim Henderson slated to return on Sunday, this was likely Rodriguez's last save chance outside of spot-saves, so those counting on him to be used in the ninth inning will need to find a replacement. 18 PC-10 ST (6/8/13) (MR) John Axford (R)–Earned his ninth hold of the season Saturday after pitching a scoreless seventh inning striking out two batters on 17 pitches thrown. Melancon was able to bounce back from a disappointing outing last time out, and what it even more impressive is that he has now struck out five batters over his last 2.1 innings, which is unlike him. 23 PC-15 ST (6/7/13) (MR) Tony Watson (L)--Pitched 0.2 innings of relief on Saturday retiring both batters he faced in the final frame needing only nine pitches to get the job done. Pirates starter A.J. Burnett recorded the first out of the inning, but game up a home run to Alfonso Soriano, so Watson came in to nail down the victory. 9 PC-7 ST (6/8/13) Injured-- Jose Contreras (Back)San Diego Padres(CL) Shaky Luke Gregerson (R)–Was charged with a blown-save on Sunday after surrendering three runs on four hits and one walk in the ninth inning.
