O'Day needed only seven pitches to get through the appearance forcing one fly ball out while striking out one batter to carry the Orioles lead into the ninth inning. 7 PC-6 ST (7/30/13) (MR) Tommy Hunter (R)--Earned his 12th hold of the season Thursday despite allowing one run on two hits in 1.2 innings of relief. Hunter had gotten back on track over his last few appearances, but reverted back in this one, as Darren O'Day continues to out pitch him at this point. 18 PC-12 ST (8/1/13)Boston Red Sox(CL) Solid Koji Uehara (R)–Pitched 2.0 innings of relief on Wednesday retiring all six batters he faced in order. Reed has been allowing base runners at a high clip over the last few weeks, so a bad outing was eventually going to happen. 28 PC-15 ST (7/31/13) (SU) Matt Lindstrom (R)--Was charged with his third blown-save of the season Tuesday night allowing two runs on three hits in the eighth inning. He recorded only one out in the appearance and has now pitched back-to-back days. 12 PC-7 ST (7/30/13) (MR) Nate Jones (R)--Pitched a scoreless eighth inning on Friday night retiring all three batters he faced in order. This was his first outing since last Saturday, so expect to see much more from him over the next few days. 11 PC-8 ST (8/1/13) (MR) Marc Rzepczynski (L)--Pitched a scoreless seventh inning on Friday night retiring all three batters he faced in order. This was his first appearance since joining the Indians bullpen, so hopefully he will be able to keep the ball rolling after a rough start to the year with the Cardinals. 14 PC-8 ST (8/2/13)Detroit Tigers(CL) Shaky Joaquin Benoit (R)–Recorded his 11th save of the season Friday night after pitching a scoreless ninth inning allowing one walk on 19 pitches thrown. Benoit continues to get the job done for the Tigers, but is likely on a shorter leash now that Jose Veras has joined the bullpen. 19 PC-10 ST (8/2/13) (SU) Jose Veras (R)--Pitched a scoreless eighth inning on Tuesday night retiring all three batters he faced in order. Veras made a great first impression on his new team, but will have limited fantasy value unless Joaquin Benoit falters. 14 PC-9 ST (7/30/13) (MR) Bruce Rondon (R)--Pitched one inning of relief on Sunday allowing one run on two hits in the eighth inning. Rondon has now given up an earned-run in three straight appearances, so hopefully he can turn things around before the team decides to go in a another direction in the setup role. 17 PC-13 ST (7/28/13) Injured– Octavio Dotel (Shoulder)Houston Astros(CL) Committee Jose Cisnero (R)--Pitched 0.1 innings of relief on Friday night allowing one run on three hits needing 25 pitches before being pulled. Cisnero is expect to be used in the closer role, but this type of appearance is not going to help his case any. 25 PC-13 ST (8/2/13) (CL) Committee Travis Blackley (L)--Pitched a scoreless 10th inning on Friday night allowing one walk while striking out one batter on 19 pitches thrown. Blackley has now pitched back-to-back days, so expect him to get the night off on Saturday. 19 PC-11 ST (8/2/13) (CL) Committee Wesley Wright (L)–Pitched 1.2 innings of relief on Tuesday night allowing one hit while striking out one batter on 21 pitches thrown. Wright will be part of the teams closer committee, but will likely only be used in extreme situations. 21 PC-14 ST (7/30/13)Kansas City Royals(CL) Solid Greg Holland (R)–Earned his 28th save of the season after pitching a scoreless ninth inning allowing one hit on 17 pitches thrown. Crow got himself into a jam in a tied ballgame, but was able to force two ground ball outs while striking out one batter to extend the game into extra innings. 19 PC-10 ST (8/2/13) (MR) Kelvin Herrera (R)--Pitched a scoreless sixth inning on Friday night allowing one walk while striking out two batters on 22 pitches thrown. Herrera has been inconsistent since rejoining the Royals, but should continue to get the call, just not in tight situations. 22 PC-13 ST (8/2/13)Los Angeles Angels(CL) Solid Ernesto Frieri (R)–Recorded his 26th save of the season Friday night after pitching a scoreless ninth inning allowing one hit while striking out three batters on 21 pitches thrown. Frieri had been terrible over his previous few outings, so hopefully this appearance will get him back on track for a solid finish to the season. 21 PC-14 ST (8/2/13) (SU) Kevin Jepsen (R)--Was used in the seventh inning on Tuesday night allowing one run on two hits needing 18 pitches to get through the outing. Jepsen was charged with his second blown-save in the outing, and has now allowed a run in back-to-back games. 18 PC-12 ST (7/30/13) (MR) Dane De La Rosa (R)--Pitched 0.2 innings of relief on Tuesday night surrendering three runs on three hits and one walk. De La Rosa has now allowed four runs over his last three appearances, but should get a chance to work out the kinks considering the Angels have little depth in their bullpen right now. 26 PC-16 ST (7/30/13) Injured:  Ryan Madson (Elbow), Sean Burnett (Elbow)Minnesota Twins(CL) Solid Glen Perkins (L)–Was used in the ninth inning on Friday night in a non-save situation allowing one run on two hits while striking out one batter. Perkins has now allowed a run in two of his last three appearances so hopefully he will be able to turn things around next time out. 17 PC-14 ST (8/2/13) (SU) Casey Fien (R)--Pitched 0.1 innings of relief on Wednesday night allowing two hits on 17 pitches thrown. Fien got himself into trouble, but was able to force one ground ball out to end the seventh inning threat. 17 PC-13 ST (7/31/13) (MR) Jared Burton (R)–Pitched a scoreless eighth inning on Wednesday night striking out the side on 18 pitches thrown. Burton has been pitching well as of late, following a bad few weeks, so maybe he will be used in the setup role once again if his recent success continues. 18 PC-13 ST (7/31/13)New York Yankees(CL) Elite Mariano Rivera (R)–Recorded his 34th save of the season on Wednesday night after pitching a 1-2-3 ninth inning. Rivera struck out two batters while forcing one ground ball out on 12 pitches thrown to continue his great farewell tour. 12 PC-10 ST (7/31/13) (SU) David Robertson (R)–Pitched a scoreless eighth inning on Tuesday night retiring all three batters he faced in order. Robertson needed only nine pitches to work through the appearance forcing two ground ball outs while striking out one batter to get the job done. 9 PC-7 ST (7/30/13) (MR) Boone Logan (R)–Picked up the win on Wednesday night after pitching a scoreless eighth inning allowing one hit and one walk on 17 pitches thrown. This was Logan's first appearance since Sunday, so expect to see him used more in this weekend's series with the Padres. 17 PC-7 ST (7/31/13)Oakland Athletics(CL) Elite Grant Balfour (R)–Pitched a scoreless ninth inning on Wednesday in a non-save situation striking out the side on only 12 pitches thrown. Balfour continues to dominate the ninth inning despite blowing his first save of the season a week ago, having recorded five strike outs over his last three appearances. 12 PC-10 ST (7/31/13) (SU) Ryan Cook (R)--Pitched 1.1 innings of relief on Wednesday allowing one hit while striking out one batter on 12 pitches thrown. Cook has done a great job between the seventh and eighth innings for the Athletics as of late, showing the ability to work in any situation. 12 PC-9 ST (7/31/13) (MR) Sean Doolittle (L)–Pitched 0.2 innings of relief on Wednesday retiring both batters he faced in order on eight pitches thrown. Doolittle entered in a tied ballgame and was able to force one fly ball out while striking out one batter to carry the game into the bottom of the eighth inning. 8 PC-7 ST (7/31/13)Seattle Mariners(CL) Committee Oliver Perez (L)--Took the loss on Thursday night after recording only one out in the ninth inning. Perez allowed two runs on two hits in the appearance and has now pitched back-to-back days so he will likely be given the day off on Friday. 7 PC-6 ST (8/1/13) (CL) Committee Charlie Furbush (L)--Was used in the eighth inning on Thursday night allowing one run on one hit and one walk on 16 pitches thrown. Furbush has now pitched back-to-back days, so there is a good chance he will be given the day off on Friday. 16 PC-12 ST (8/1/13)(MR)  Tom Wilhelmsen (R)--Failed to record an out in his appearance on Thursday night surrendering four runs on two hits and two walks in the ninth inning. Wilhelmsen was walking the line over his last few appearances allowing plenty of base runners, so an outing like this was bound to happen. 19 PC-7 ST (8/1/13)Injured–Stephen Pryor (back)Tampa Bay Rays(CL) Solid Fernando Rodney (R)–Collected his 26th save of the season Monday after pitching a scoreless ninth inning allowing one hit and one walk on 23 pitches thrown. Rodney got himself into a jam, but was able to keep his composure and work around two base runners to help the Rays take over the lead in the AL East. 23 PC-14 ST (7/29/13) (SU) Joel Peralta (R)–Picked up his 27th hold of the season Monday night after recording the final two outs of the eighth inning. Peralta got himself into trouble by allowing two base runners, but was able to work his way through it to secure the Rays lead heading to the ninth inning. 9 PC-8 ST (7/29/13) (MR) Jake McGee (L)--Pitched 0.1 innings of relief on Wednesday night allowing one hit on nine pitches thrown. Hernandez had allowed three runs over his last two appearances, so hopefully Hernandez will be able to build off of this outing and turn his rough season around. 15 PC-9 ST (8/1/13) (MR) Heath Bell (R)–Picked up his eighth hold of the season Friday night after pitching a scoreless eighth inning retiring all three batters he faced in order. Strop needed 12 pitches to get through the frame forcing two ground ball outs while striking out one batter. 12 PC-7 ST (8/2/13) (MR) James Russell (L)--Pitched a scoreless eighth inning on Friday retiring all three batters he faced in order needing only seven pitches. After a rough outing on Tuesday, Russell bounced back nicely in this one, so hopefully he will be able to keep the ball rolling on the right direction. 7 PC-6 ST (8/2/13) Injured--Kyuji Fujikawa (Forearm)Cincinnati Reds(CL) Elite Aroldis Chapman (L)–Recorded his 25th save of the season Wednesday after retiring the final two batters of the eighth inning. Starter Homer Bailey recorded the first out of the inning before calling on Chapman, who needed only 12 pitches to force one fly ball out while striking out one batter to seal the victory for the Reds. 12 PC-8 ST (7/31/13) (SU) J.J. Hoover (R)--Pitched a scoreless ninth inning on Friday night in a non-save situation allowing one hit and one walk on 17 pitches thrown. Hoover struck out three batters in the appearance and has now recorded four strikeouts over his last three innings of work. 17 PC-11 ST (8/2/13) (MR) Sam LeCure (R)--Pitched a scoreless eighth inning on Friday night allowing one walk on 21 pitches thrown. With closer Steve Cishek unavailable, Dunn filled the void nicely, and should be look at to do the same whenever there is a need for a spot-save. 25 PC-17 ST (7/31/13) (MR) A.J. Ramos (R)--Earned his seventh hold of the season Thursday after pitching 2.0 innings of relief allowing one walk and two strikeouts on 37 pitches thrown. Considering his high pitch count, Ramos will likely be unavailable to pitch on Thursday. 37 PC-26 ST (8/1/13)Milwaukee Brewers(CL) Shaky Jim Henderson (R)--Recorded his 13th and 14th saves of the season on Tuesday, after pitching a scoreless ninth inning in both end of Tuesday's doubleheader. Henderson will likely be unavailable on Wednesday after Tuesday's performance, so look for John Axford to be used in the role. Lopez allowed one hit in the appearance, but it did not come back to haunt him after Sergio Romo secured the victory. 8 PC-5 ST (8/2/13) Injured-- Jeremy AffeldtSt. Louis Cardinals(CL) Elite Edward Mujica (R)–Recorded his 30th save of the season Thursday after pitching a scoreless ninth inning allowing one hit while striking out two batters on 14 pitches thrown. Mujica has now recorded three saves over the last five days, as he continues to get plenty of save chances for the Cardinals. 14 P-10 ST (7/25/13) (SU) Trevor Rosenthal (R)--Took the loss on Wednesday after allowing one run on two hits in the eighth inning. Rosenthal has now pitched back-to-back days, so expect the Cardinals to give him the day off on Thursday. 13 PC-8 ST (7/31/13) (MR) Randy Choate (L)--Pitched 0.1 innings of relief in Game 1 of Tuesday's doubleheader forcing the only batter he faced to ground out on five pitches thrown. Choate bounced back nicely from a rough outing on Saturday, and considering he threw only five pitches, he may be used in Game 2 if needed. 5 PC-2 ST (7/30/13) Injured– Jason Motte (Elbow), Fernando Salas (Shoulder)Washington Nationals(CL) Solid Rafael Soriano (R)--Recorded his 27th save of the season Friday night after pitching a scoreless ninth inning retiring all three batters he faced in order. Soriano needed only 11 pitches to work through the appearance forcing one fly ball out while striking out two batters to get the job done. 11 PC-10 ST (8/2/13) (SU) Tyler Clippard (R)–Picked up his 20th hold of the season Friday night despite allowing one run on one hit and one walk while striking out two batters on 20 pitches thrown. This wasn't the best showing from Clippard, but at least he made it through the appearance without blowing the lead. 20 PC-11 ST (8/2/13) (MR) Ryan Mattheus (R)--Earned his fourth hold of the season Friday after pitching a scoreless seventh inning retiring all three batters he faced in order.
