Johnson got himself into a jam, but was able to work his way through it by forcing two ground ball outs and striking out one to escape the frame unharmed. 23 PC-12 ST (6/25/13)

(MR) Brian Matusz (L)--Pitched  a scoreless inning of relief on Monday in relief of Darren O'Day, who failed to record an out in the eighth frame. Matusz allowing one hit, but was able to force one ground ball out while striking out two batters to limit the damage to just two runs. 19 PC-14 ST (6/24/13)Boston Red Sox(CL) Shaky Koji Uehara (R)âPicked up his 13th hold of the season Thursday after pitching a scoreless eighth inning retiring all three batters he faced in order. After going through a rough stretch a few weeks back, Uehara has gotten right back on track, and may be considered for the closer job if Andrew Bailey continues to struggle. 10 PC-9 ST (6/20/13)
(SU) Andrew Bailey (R)--Picked up his fifth hold of the season Sunday despite allowing one run on two hits in the seventh inning. Bailey has pitched terrible over the last week of the season, and if his struggles continue, look for Junichi Tazawa to move past him on the Red Sox depth chart. 9 PC-6 ST (6/23/13)
(MR) Junichi Tazawa (R)--Earned his 13th hold of the season on Sunday after pitching a scoreless sixth inning allowing one walk while striking out one batter on 16 pitches thrown. Tazawa has pitched well as of late, and may get a chance to be used in the closer role once again if Koji Uehara can;t get it done. 16 PC-11 ST (6/23/13)
Injured--Joel Hanrahan (Forearm)Chicago White Sox(CL) Solid Addison Reed (R)âPicked up the win despite being charged with his third blown-save of the season Tuesday after allowing one run (unearned) on one hit in the ninth inning. After LaTroy Hawkins allowed a walk-off single to Alexei Ramirez in the bottom half of the inning, the decision fell to Reed, who is now 3-0 after this blown-save performance. 17 PC-13 ST (6/25/13)
(SU) Jesse Crain (R)âTook the loss on Sunday after allowing three runs (zero earned) on two hits and one walk in the eighth inning. This was Crain's first blown-save of the season, but none of the runs were charged to him, so he is still sitting on a 0.52 earned-run average for the year. 30 PC-19 ST (6/23/13)

Thornton needed 15 pitches to work through the frame, forcing two ground ball outs while striking out one batter to get the job done. 15 PC-10 ST (6/23/13)Cleveland Indians(CL) Shaky Vinny Pestano (R)--Recorded his fourth save of the season Monday after pitching a scoreless ninth inning allowing one hit and one walk on 15 pitches thrown. (SU) Joe Smith (R)--Earned his sixth hold of the season Monday night after pitching a 1-2-3 eighth inning needing only 10 pitches to work through the appearance. Smith has been a pleasant surprise for a depleted Indians bullpen, but will soon see his role diminish with the return of Chris Perez. 10 PC-6 ST (6/24/13)
(MR) Bryan Shaw (R)--Picked up his fifth hold of the season Monday after retiring the final two batters of the seventh inning. Shaw bounced back nicely from a poor performance his last time out, so hopefully this will get him back on track. 6 PC-4 ST (6/24/13)
Injured--Chris Perez (Shoulder)Detroit Tigers(CL) Shaky Joaquin Benoit (R)âPicked up the win on Sunday despite allowing one run on two hits in 1.1 innings of relief. This was Benoit's first appearance in a week, so the mediocre outing could have something to do with his time off in between appearances. 23 PC-16 ST (6/23/13)
(SU) Phil Coke (L)--Pitched a scoreless ninth inning on Tuesday night in a non-save situation allowing one walk while striking out two batters. With Joaquin Benoit taking over the closer role, Coke will now be used in the eight inning, which should increase his chances of earning more holds. 17 PC-10 ST (6/25/13)
(MR) Al Alburquerque (R)--Pitched a scoreless eighth inning on Saturday night allowing one hit and one walk while striking out one batter. Alburquerque has now pitched back-to-back days, so expect to see him get the day off on Sunday. 19 PC-12 ST (6/22/13)
Injuredâ Octavio Dotel (Shoulder)Houston Astros(CL) Solid Jose Veras (R)âRecorded his 15th save of the season Saturday after pitching a 1-2-3 ninth inning striking out one batter on six pitches thrown. After a slow start to the season, Veras has now recorded saves in four of his last five appearances, making himself a very serviceable closer in all formats. 6 PC-5 ST (6/22/13)
(SU) Hector Ambriz (R)--Pitched a scoreless ninth inning on Tuesday night in a non-save situation allowing one hit while striking out two batters on 14 pitches thrown. Ambriz has been one of the bright spots on the Astros this season, and has a chance of earning some saves in the second half of the season, if the team decides to trade Jose Veras. 14 PC-10 ST (6/25/13)
(MR) Wesley Wright (L)âPitched one inning of relief on Sunday allowing two runs on three hits while striking out two batters on 23 pitches thrown. If he was on any other team he would have been sent to the minors by now, but since he is a member of the Astros they will continue to let him pitch despite pitching poorly. 23 PC-15 ST (6/23/13)Kansas City Royals(CL) Solid Greg Holland (R)âRecorded his 16th save of the season Sunday after pitching a scoreless ninth inning retiring all three batters he faced in order. Crow failed to record an out in the appearance, and was later replaced by Greg Holland, who retired the next three hitters. 8 PC-3 ST (6/22/13)(MR) Tim Collins (L)--Took the loss on Tuesday night after allowing the game-winning home run to Jason Heyward in the seventh inning. With Kelvin Herrera out of the picture once again, Collins has a chance of gaingin some fantasy value in holds leagues, so be sure to keep an eye on him in the upcoming weeks. 20 PC-16 ST (6/25/13)Los Angeles Angels(CL) Solid Ernesto Frieri (R)âWas charged with his second blown-save of the season Sunday after surrendering three runs on three hits and one walk. Fien pitched well outside of allowing a solo-home run, striking out four of the six batters he faced in the appearance,40 PC-24 ST (6/23/13)New York Yankees(CL) Elite Mariano Rivera (R)âPicked up the win on Tuesday after pitching a scoreless ninth inning in a non-save situation allowing one hit on 11 pitches thrown. (SU) David Robertson (R)âPitched a scoreless eighth inning on Tuesday in a non-save situation allowing one hit and one walk on 16 pitches thrown. Robertson got himself into a jam, but was able to force two ground ball outs to keep the game deadlocked at three runs a piece. 16 PC-9 ST (6/25/13)

Doolittle got himself into ajam, but was able to forcing one ground ball out and one fly ball out to secure the lead heading into the ninth inning. 12 PC-9 ST (6/25/13)Seattle Mariners(CL) Committee Oliver Perez (L)--Picked up the win on Sunday after pitching two innings on scoreless relief allowing one hit and one walk while striking out two batters on 29 pitches thrown. Street allowed two home runs in the appearance, which bring is season total up to 10 home runs, which is very high for having pitched just 26.1 innings. 21 PC-13 ST (6/23/13)(SU) Luke Gregerson (R)âPitched 0.2 innings of relief on Monday night allowing one hit while striking out one batter on nine pitches thrown. This was Gregerson's first appearance since last Thursday, so expect to see much more of him over the next few days. 9 PC-7 ST (6/24/13)
(MR) Dale Thayer (R)âPitched a scoreless eighth inning on Tuesday night allowing one hit on 18 pitches thrown. Thayer has been pitching well as of late, but with Huston Street back in the mix he is a fringe fantasy player in holds leagues, at best. 18 PC-13 ST (6/25/13)San Francisco Giants(CL) Elite Sergio Romo (R)âPitched 1.2 innings of relief on Saturday in a non-save situation allowing one hit while striking out three batters on 20 pitches thrown. (MR) Javier Lopez (L)--Recorded the first out of the eighth inning in his appearance on Monday night needing only six pitched to get the job done. Injured--Santiago Casilla (Knee)St. Louis Cardinals(CL) Elite Edward Mujica (R)âWas used in a non-save situation on Tuesday night allowing two hits and one walk in 0.2 innings of relief. Mujica was quickly removed from the contest after clearly not having his best stuff, but as we know, some pitcher are just better in save situations. 18 PC-11 ST (6/25/13)
(SU) Trevor Rosenthal (R)--Pitched 0.1 innings of relief on Sunday allowing one hit while striking out one batter on 17 pitches thrown. Rosenthal was used to get the final out of the seventh inning, and was able to do so, just not in a ordering fashion. 17 PC-11 ST (6/23/13)
