[caption id="attachment_15640" align="alignleft" width="224"] Eric Decker and Jesse James (Jealous?)[/caption] Halloween is over. I'm sad. But never fear, get the pun?, I'm still on the case when it comes to Week 9 of the NFL season. Here is a review of players who suit up for AFC squads.BYE: New England, NY Jets, St. Louis, San FranciscoAnquan Boldin lit up the Browns the last time he faced them hauling in nine balls for 131 yards while his running mate, Torrey Smith, went off for six receptions, 97 yards an a score. Joe Haden is back and that will help the Browns, but this still looks like a good matchup.Reggie Bush has enjoyed running on the road since he joined the Dolphins. Bush is averaging five YPC in that setup and he gets to face a Colts team that is sporting the 27th worst run D in football.Jamaal Charles is averaging 6.2 yards per carry versus the Chargers in his career. After averaging 27 carries for three weeks, Charles has touched it 17 times on the ground the past two games so look for the Chiefs to give him the ball, a lot. The Chargers are a solid run D this year though as they lead the AFC with a mark of 79.9 yards a game.Andy Dalton threw for 105 yards in his last game, and three of his last four outings he has failed to throw for 250 yards. He's also thrown six interceptions over the past three games.Owen Daniels has a TD in four of his last five games. It's a tough matchup this week though as the Bills have allowed just one score to tight ends this season.Eric Decker has scored in 4-straight games for the Broncos (he scored twice last weekend). He faces a Bengals club that has allowed wide receivers to score just four times this season. Man is his lady hot or what?Anthony Fasano is Mr. Touchdown. Fasano has scored in his last two games but faces the Colts who are stingy as all get out against tight ends (one score, fewest fantasy points per week).Ryan Fitzpatrick has 15 touchdown passes in seven games this season, a pace that would lead to 34 passing scores this year. He faces a Texans team that has allowed 13 passing scores in seven games.Arian Foster has a rushing score in 4-straight games and the Bills have allowed an NFL worst 13 rushing scores. The Bills are also the worst unit in football at stopping the ball on the ground allowing 177 rushing yards a contest.Dwight Freeney has four sacks in his last three trips onto the tundra against the Dolphins. Teammate Robert Mathis has five sacks in his last four games this season.BenJarvus Green-Ellis has run for 26 touchdowns since the start of the 2010 season, the third highest mark in football. He also has two rushing scores in his last three games against the Broncos though the club from Denver has allowed only four rushing scores in seven games this season.Fred Jackson caught a career best eight balls in his last game. It's doubtful that Jackson will have a large receiving day either as the Texans have allowed the 8th fewest receptions to RBs this season. This week he faces the Texans who are stout on the ground allowing 83 yards a game and zero, none, rushing scores.Rashad Jennings has gone for more than 100 yards from scrimmage each of his last two games. The Lions are a tough matchup for runners having allowed the sixth fewest points to the position. Since Week 6 Chris Johnson leads the NFL in rushing. He has also averaged 93.3 yards a game in 18 contests against the NFC. This weekend he faces the Bears who are allowing an NFL best 77.9 rushing yards a game.Josh Gordon has 17 receptions this season results in four scores, all of which have come in the last four weeks. If Gordon were to keep up that pace and catch, let's say 65 passes, he would score 15 touchdowns. That seem right to you?Matt Hasselbeck has thrown for six scores the last three times he has faced the Bears.Peyton Manning has thrown for 300 yards and three scores in 4-straight games. Only one player in football history has a longer streak (Steve Young had a 5-gamer in 1998).Ryan Mathews had two rushing scores the last time he faced the Chiefs. The Chiefs are in the bottom third of the league in rushing yards allowed this year and have permitted five rushing scores in seven games.Darren McFadden ran for over 100 yards last week. He's also gone for over 100 yards the last two times he faced an NFC club at home. However, the Bucs are allowing just 85.1 rushing yards a game this season.Heath Miller has scored six times this season. He scored four times the previous two years and the Giants have allowed one touchdown boogie to tight ends this season.Denarius Moore has scored in three straight contests. The Bucs have allowed six passing scores to wideouts this year and the third most fantasy points to wide receivers in PPR setups.Andrew Luck leads AFC quarterbacks in rushing yards (143) and rushing scores (three) while throwing for an average of nearly 282 passing yards a week. The Dolphins allow the 14th most points allowed to the QB this year in the fantasy game.Ray Rice has faced the Browns nine times in his career running for an average of 91.6 yards a contest, better than the 74.9 yards a game he is averaging this season. The Browns are allowing almost twice that season long mark of Rice this year at 131.6 yards per game on the ground.Philip Rivers, for what it is worth, has thrown for eight scores and just one interception in his last three games he has played on Thursday Night Football. The Chiefs have allowed a whopping 15 passing scores in seven games, but they are allowing only 222.3 passing yards a game.Cecil Shorts has caught 195 yards worth of passes in his last two games. The Lions allow wideouts an average of 156 yards a game.Mike Wallace has scored three times in four road games this season.RANDOM START OF THE WEEK(That one player you would never consider starting but for some reason he might be worth a look if you're desperate.)Dexter McCluster, RB/WR, ChiefsMcCluster has caught six balls in each of his last two games. That's gives him obvious value in PPR setups, and given that he might even have dual position eligibility, how rare is that in football?, he is even more interesting. Point #3 to recommend Dexter this week is this; though the Chiefs are a top run defense unit, they do permit an awful lot of passes to be completed to the running back position as they have allowed the 6th most passes to be completed to RBs of any club in the league.Ray Flowers can be heard daily on Sirius/XM Radio on The Fantasy Drive on Sirius 210 and XM 87, Monday through Thursday at 7 PM EDT and Friday's at 9 PM EDT.
