It's Week 7, so here are some names with matchups this week that you need to be made aware of in the AFC.Vick Ballard carried the ball eight times for 25 yards last week, and has run for an average of 2.3 yards a carry this season (29 totes). This week he faces a Browns team that is allowing 131.3 yards a game at an average clip that is literally double the mark of Ballard at 4.6 yards per carry.Anquan Boldin has averaged 97 yards a game in four regular season matchups with the Texans. He caught five balls for 98 yards last week against the Cowboys and has gone for at least 82 receiving yards each of his last three games.Jairus Byrd intercepted two passes last week, the 4th time in his career he has done that. Matt Hasselbeck has thrown four interceptions in his last three starts.Andy Dalton threw for a career best 381 yards last week. The Steelers will be without Troy Polamalu but they have been a top-4 pass defense this year allowing just 201 yards passing a week (though they have intercepted only two passes).Owen Daniels is 4th at the tight end position in receptions (26) and yards (357). The Ravens have been effective this year against tight ends allowing the 11 fewest fantasy points (including not a single touchdown) to the position.Ryan Fitzpatrick threw 12 touchdown passes in his first four games this season. He's failed to throw for a score the last two times he's taken the field. He faces the Titans who have allowed 13 passing scores and the 6th most fantasy points to the QB this season.Joe Flacco is 4-0 against the Texans in his career. He's only thrown one interception in those four games while he has tossed six touchdown passes. This season the Texans have allowed 12 passing scores in six contests.Arian Foster has run for 100 yards in two of his last three meetings with the Ravens, and given that the Ravens have allowed more than 200 rushing yards each of the last two weeks, you have to love Foster's prospects this week.Dwight Freeney has recorded seven sacks in five career games against the Browns.A.J. Green has scored in 5-straight games for the Bengals.Chris Johnson has averaged 85 rushing yards a game over the past three weeks. He faces a Bills club that he has run for more than 130 yards against in each of his two career meetings. He also caught nine passes for 100 yards back on 11/15/09 against the Bills.Maurice Jones-Drew ran for 101 yards the last time he faced the Raiders. The Raiders are allowing 111.8 yards a game this season on the ground and they have permitted five rushing scores in five contests. MJD has accounted for 41 percent of the Jags yards from scrimmage this season.Rob Gronkowski had eight receptions for 113 yards and two scores the last time he took on the Jets. For more on Gronkowski see Week 7 – A Positional Breakdown.Matt Hasselbeck is two TD passes from 200 in his career, and the Titans have defeated the Bills in 4-straight games. Hasselbeck is a decent Bye week fill-in given that he faces the Bills who have allowed 13 touchdowns through the air.Stephen Hill has scored three times in four games. However, he's also caught just eight passes for 112 yards, hardly the stuff of a guy you want in your starting lineup consistently.Andrew Luck is averaging 338 yards passing in home games this year. The Browns are allowing the third most passing yards a game this season, 294 per contest. They've also allowed an NFL worst 15 touchdown passes.Darren McFadden ran for 123 yards and two scores in his lone start against the Jaguars. Running backs are currently thrashing the Jaguars defense as the Jags are allowing the third most fantasy points a week in a PPR setup.Rashad Mendenhall has two games with two rushing scores against the Bengals in his career. Mike Wallace had two receiving scores the last time that he faced the Bengals. Antonio Brown returned a punt 60 yards for a score in his last meeting with the Bengals.Carson Palmer is averaging 287 yards passing a game this season. However, he's failed to thrown for 210 yards in two of his last four games (the other two games he went for more than 350 yards). This week he faces a Jaguars team that is allowing a healthy 261 yards passing a game though they have allowed only six passing scores which is a solid mark.Trent Richardson had run for four scores in five games, and he's caught at least four passes in four of five games. He says he will be fine against the Colts despite a rib injury. It's a great matchup since the Colts are allowing the 4th most yards on the ground of any team in the league (159 YPG). They've also permitted eight rushing scores in five games.Ben Roethlisberger has gone 14-2 in his starts in Ohio (he is from Ohio). Big Ben is also second in the NFL in passing yards a game on the road at 331 yards a game. The Bengals are middle of the pack this year in pass defense allowing 228 yards a game and eight passing scores in six games.Mark Sanchez is spotty as all hell, but he's enjoyed his outings against the Patriots the last two times he has faced them. Sanchez has thrown for five scores and nary an interception in those outings, though he has thrown for only 360 yards. This season the Pats have been routinely beaten threw the air allowing 289 yards a game and an NFL worst 15 passing scores as teams are often forced to pass to keep up with the Tom Brady led offense.Wes Welker has at least eight receptions for 100 yards in each of his last four outings. He's caught 10 or more balls in 16 games in his career, one off the NFL record of 17 held by Jerry Rice. In 14 career matchups with the Jets he has 72 receptions and he had two solid games against the Jets last year leading to 11 receptions and 170 yards, and there's no Revis Island to deal with now.Usama Young has an interception in each of his last two starts. He also had an interception the last time that he faced the Colts. Teammate Joe Haden also has an interception in his last two games.RANDOM START OF THE WEEK(That one player you would never consider starting but for some reason he might be worth a look if you're desperate.)Brandon Weeden, QB, BrownsWeeden is an option this week with Matt Ryan, Peyton Manning, Michael Vick, Philip Rivers, Ryan Tannehill and someone from the Chiefs on a Bye. Weeden has thrown for 522 yards and four touchdowns in his last two games and he's also thrown for 1,519 yards, the second most by a rookie in NFL history through six games (Cam Newton threw for 1,847 yards last season). The Colts, his opponent, have been stingy allowing a mere 200 passing yards a game, but they have permitted 10 passing scores and with just two interceptions through five games.Ray Flowers can be heard daily on Sirius/XM Radio on The Fantasy Drive on Sirius 210 and XM 87, Monday through Thursday at 7 PM EDT and Friday's at 9 PM EDT.
