Week 6 of the NFL season is upon us, so let's take a look at some of the AFC players who have, or don't have, strong matchups this week.Geno Atkins has four sacks in his last three games for the Bengals. The Bengals lead the NFL with 18 sacks. Look out Mr. Weeden.Anquan Boldin has gone for 13 receptions and 213 yards in his last two games showing that he can still be a productive wideout in this league (he has 730 receptions since 2003, the second best mark in the NFL – Reggie Wayne has a whopping 822).Tom Brady has 48 games of 300 yards. With one more he will tie Warren Moon for 7th all-time. Brady has been sharp of late with three straight games of at least a 100 QB Rating.Reggie Bush's knee isn't 100 percent. Still, he's run for 436 yards in his last four games at home, and he's averaging 6.3 YPC in 22 attempts against the Rams. Also, Daniel Thomas is out of the mix due to his second concussion in five weeks.Jamaal Charles has averaged 154 yards a game the past three weeks, and he leads the NFL in yards from scrimmage this year (133.8 per game). The Bucs have been stout against the run though allowing less than 74 rushing yards a game though they have permitted four rushing scores in four games.Andy Dalton is 3-0 with five touchdown passes an one interception against the Browns. He's averaged 223 yards passing in each contest, and though the Browns pass defense has been terrible, they do get Joe Haden back this weekend.Eric Decker has scored in each of his last two games and he's also hit pay dirt twice in three games against the Chargers. All Joel Dreessen does is score touchdowns. He has done so in 3-straight games. Ditto for Owen Daniels of the Texans.Joe Flacco is 8-0 at home against the NFC (he's 30-5 in his career at home). The Cowboys represent a stiff challenge, at least in terms of holding Flacco in check, as they have allowed a mere 169.5 yards a game, the stingiest group in baseball. Flacco tossed the pigskin for just 187 yards last week.Arian Foster is averaging 99.2 yards a game on the ground since the start of the 2010 season.A.J. Green is the first receiver in league history to catch 100 balls for 1,500 yards and 10 touchdowns in his first 20 games. He'll see a lot of shutdown defender Mr. Haden in Week 6 so it remains to be seen if he will score for a 5th straight week.Shonn Greene ran for 95 yards in his lone matchup with the Colts. This season the Colts have been run on to the tune of 136 yards a game while they have permitted five rushing scores in four games. If Brian Hartline goes for 102 yards this weekend he will surpass his 2010 career-high high total of 615 yards.Justin Houston has 11.5 sacks since Week 13 last year, enough to tie him for the NFL lead.Matt Hasselbeck needs to throw three touchdowns against the Steelers to reach 200 for his career. Don't think it's going to happen though the Steelers have allowed eight passing scores in four games this season.Andre Johnson needs 61 yards, less than his career average of 78.3 yards a game, to reach 10,000 for his career. He had 107 yards in his only meeting versus the Packers. Completely underutilized this season, Johnson has just four receptions for 69 yards the past two weeks.Andrew Luck leads AFC quarterbacks with 102 yards rushing. Who knew?Peyton Manning has thrown for eight scores without an interception his last three games.Ryan Mathews has run for at least 120 yards in each of his previous three outings against the Broncos (120, 125 and 137). He also had a game last year in which he had three scores against them.Robert Mathis of the Colts has at least one sack in each of his last seven games. Cory Redding had two sacks last week and Dwight Freeney has three sacks in his last three games against the Jets.Darren McFadden has run for 100-yards in his last three games against NFC opponents. He could extend that total to four given the the Falcons are 27th against the run allowing 142.8 yards a game. They've also allowed six rushing scores on the ground.Willis McGahee has averaged 121 rushing yards in two career matchups against the Chargers. Might not get there this week as the Chargers are allowing 74 yards a game on the ground.Carson Palmer has thrown five scores, hasn't been intercepted, and has passed for 678 yards in two outings against the Falcons in his career.Ed Reed has picked off three balls in two games against the Cowboys, and Tony Romo is coming off a game in which he tossed five interceptions. Reed's teammate, Cary Williams, also has an interception in each of his last two games.Trent Richardson had his biggest game of the year on the ground in Week 2 when he took on the Bengals as he ran for 109 yards on 19 carries. He scored on the ground in that game and he also hauled in four balls for 36 yards in the matchup. He's the first rookie Browns backer with 4-straight games with a rushing touchdown.Ben Roethlisberger needs 300 yards to pass Terry Bradshaw for most passing yards in Steelers history (27,989). The four times that he has faced the Titans in his career he's thrown for 10 touchdowns and an average of 285 yards a game.Mark Sanchez is on pace for 19 touchdowns and 19 interceptions. He's completed just 48.4 percent of his passes this season as well.C.J. Spiller has carried the ball 25 times on the road this season at an 8.4 YPC clip. He faces a Cardinals team that is allowing just 3.6 YPC this season.Ryan Tannehill has thrown for 1,269 yards, the third highest total by a rookie signal caller through five games. Ryan faces a Rams club that has allowed just two passing scores this season while intercepting eight balls.Cameron Wake has racked up an impressive 5.5 sacks in his last two games so Sam Bradford better be ready to do some running this week.Mike Wallace had six receptions for 82 yards an a score the last time he faced the Titans. Some are disappointed in Wallace after a down Week 5, but don't look past the fact they the is still no pace for his best fantasy season (76 receptions, 1,005 yards and 12 touchdowns).Reggie Wayne needs two receptions to reach 900 for his career. He will become the 14th player in league history to get there.Brandon Weeden has thrown for 1,288 yards, the second most in NFL history for a rookie QB in his first five games (Cam Newton threw for 1,610 last year). The Bengals are allowing 230 yards passing a week this year while they have permitted six passing scores in five games.Wes Welker is washed up. That's what some were thinking a month ago. The truth? Couldn't be further from that belief. Welker has caught eight balls for 100 yards in each of his last three games.Kendall Wright leads rookies this season with 27 receptions this season. He's really come on strong of late as well. Not only did he have nine receptions last week, but he has hauled in 20 passes in his last three games.RANDOM START OF THE WEEK(That one player you would never consider starting but for some reason he might be worth a look if you're desperate.)Greg Little, WR, BrownsBrandon Weeden has thrown for more yards, 1,288, than Philip Rivers (1,251), Jay Cutler (1,209) and Cam Newton (1,154). Jordan Norwood (nine receptions, 81 yards) and Josh Gordon (two touchdowns) both stepped up last week giving defenses more than one target to worry about (too bad Norwood is out with a foot injury). Most will focus on Norwood and Gordon, but perhaps Little might have a decent day – if of course he can hold on to the ball when it's thrown to him. By the way, Little has scored a touchdown the last two times he has faced off with the Bengals.Ray Flowers can be heard daily on Sirius/XM Radio on The Fantasy Drive on Sirius 210 and XM 87, Monday through Thursday at 7 PM EDT and Friday's at 9 PM EDT.
