MLB World Series Game 2 Picks, Predictions & Best Bets Today, 10/25

Before we get to the MLB World Series Game 2 Best Bets, let’s quickly set the stage for Saturday night. Toronto won emphatically last night, with an 11-4 home victory in Game 1 to kick off the series. The Blue Jays got it done with a 9-run explosion in the 6th inning, featuring an Addison Barger grand slam.

For tonight’s Game 2, we have a fascinating starting pitching matchup. Yoshinobu Yamamoto starts for Los Angeles, while Kevin Gausman takes the mound for Toronto. This pair of starters should keep things lower-scoring. Let’s now get to our Blue Jays vs. Dodgers predictions and MLB World Series Game 2 Best Bets.

Blue Jays vs. Dodgers World Series Game 2 Predictions: Saturday, October 25th

Yoshinobu Yamamoto was excellent in his ALCS outing against the Milwaukee Brewers. He tossed a complete game with 7 strikeouts and only 1 run allowed. It was a dominant effort that continued an impressive run by the Japanese right-hander. Yamamoto now owns a 1.83 ERA over his 3 postseason starts, and a dominant 1.36 ERA over his past 9 starts overall.

Yamamoto ended the regular season on a roll, and he’s carried it right over into the playoffs. The Dodgers need a good start from him today to even up the series. Yamamoto should be up to the task with his electric stuff and swing-and-miss ability. Notably, the Los Angeles righty owns a 2.13 ERA on the road this year, including that ALCS start at Milwaukee.

The Blue Jays have a dangerous offense, as evidenced by last night’s outburst. Still, Yamamoto can limit the lineup early and often. Behind him, the Dodgers will have all of their top high-leverage relievers available, which is a silver lining from losing big last night and not having to use any.

Meanwhile, Kevin Gausman can limit the Dodgers’ offense as well. The Toronto right-hander has been very effective in the playoffs, with a 2.00 ERA across 4 postseason appearances thus far. He’s also allowed 2 or fewer runs in each of his 3 starts this October.

Gausman was up and down this season, with a 3.59 ERA and 3.41 FIP. However, he’s found his stride in the postseason. Facing the dangerous Dodgers’ lineup will be a tall task, but Gausman should be up for it. Toronto also has most of its top relief arms available for tonight’s game behind their starter.

Let’s take the under for our MLB World Series Game 2 Best Bets. Both starting pitchers can turn in good outings, and the bullpens can keep it lower-scoring in the latter innings as well.

Best World Series Game 2 Player Prop Bets & Other Picks Today, 10/25

Let’s also add in some MLB player props to our Blue Jays vs. Dodgers predictions. Mookie Betts continues to be an offensive catalyst in the Los Angeles lineup. He singled and scored last night to add to a productive postseason. During the playoffs, he’s batting .289 with a .795 OPS, and he’s totaled 22 total hits/runs/RBI across 11 games. Tonight, Betts has favorable head-to-head numbers against Gausman, with a .314 BA and .885 OPS over 51 career at-bats.

On the other side, Vladimir Guerrero kept his hot streak going in Game 1 with 2 more hits and a run scored. The Blue Jays’ star is now hitting .447 with a 1.411 OPS in the postseason. The Dodgers would be smart to avoid pitching to Vladdy as much as possible, especially with runners on base. With that in mind, grab the over on his walks prop. Guerrero drew a walk last night, and he’s now walked in 6 of the last 10 games.
