So, I went on a bit of a rant this week. On Monday's SiriusXM radio show I responded to a letter that was sent to one of our employees that threatened to freeze his DFS account if he continued to provide our users with Optimal Lineups. The threat was made because DraftKings wants to stop people and companies from selling lineups. Evidently this has become quite a problem recently and I can understand why this is a terrible practice and thing for the DFS industry. The problem is, we are not a lineup selling company or product. Rather, we are full service DFS experience that features everything from projections, rankings, position specific coaching articles, strategy articles, Playbooks like the one you see before you and yes even examples of lineup construction. In my opinion, if you are not showing an example lineup or multiple example lineups that I actually use then what is the point to any of your advice?

PLEASE do not be the type of person who simply plucks a lineup from somebody whether it be here or anywahere else and uses this as your own in daily fantasy football. If this is what appeals to you the most then you really shouldn't be playing DFS in the first place. I want our users to learn, play and win. In order to accomplish each of those tasks you will need to use multiple tools and articles each week.

This week I am prepared to play a very dangerous game. The name of that game is fading Devontae Booker and it comes with a big risk. Sure, Booker is my top rated RB this week but he is also every one of our competitor's top RB play this week too,. So, at 60%+ ownership, I'll take the risk and use other RB's who I find to have similar floors and even higher ceilings and hope that the chalk washes out. You will also not find Ty Montgomery anywhere near one of my lineups this week. I believe that his run as a RB is just about over and although I could be a week early to this party, I am willing to take that chance this week.

I am not using any players from the London game (Redskins/Bengals) or the Monday Night game (Vikings/Bears) for the purposes of this Playbook. If you are playing in contests featuring either of these games I would consider Chris Thompson, Jeremy Hill, Matt Asiata, Stefon Digge and the Vikings DST.

Here is the DFS NFL Playbook for Week 8:
