It's been a tough road lately. Since MLB returned from the All-Star break, I have had exactly three winning days in DFS MLB. This is one of the driest spells that I personally have ever had to be honest with you. It's easy to find excuses: moving across country, fantasy football season ramping up, starting pitchers continuously failing. But I know better. Sometimes there are no excuses. Daily fantasy sports is an incredible game. It's a game that can make you look like a genius and a fool in the exact same day. But if I've learned anything over the past six years of playing DFS, it is to stay the course. There are always new ideas and strategies popping up in people's minds or on message boards. But when you've had the kind of success that I have been fortunate to have, you know that the next winning streak is right around the corner.

The good news is one of those three winning nights was just last night when fading Steven Wright after Ryan Hanigan was scratched paid off well. Even better news (at least for me) is that I am not going to even bother worrying about the early slate of games today. Yeah, there are six games that include some of the best pitchers and best bats of the entire day. But I've had a terrible time playing early Wednesday slates this season and it just isn't worth it to me to try and keep focused on two slates today. I will be publishing some Optimal Lineups for our Playbook PRO subwcribers but all of my eggs are in the evening slate (Main) slate basket this evening.

The only weather issues for the night time slate are in Baltimore where the Rockies and Orioles have a 30% chance of thunderstorms throughout the game. The Braves and the Twins have a 50% chance of showers earlier in the day as well which may lead to a soggy field but not delay concerns there. Then there is Milwaukee where there is rain possible for the Diamondbacks and Brewers which will cause the Miller Park dome to be closed. When the dome is closed, the ball flies around there like a pinball.

Here is the DFS MLB Playbook for Wednesday July 27th:
