Wednesday we pick up the LCK back to the slate and our games jump from two to four. In both leagues we get to see some top tier talent with T1 Esports, Gen.G, and Eward Gaming are all slated to play. There are also some interesting fringe teams like Liiv Sanbox, Ultra Sandbox, and Bilibili Gaming all hoping to continue their moves towards domestic playoffs. Looking across the board there are definately some overvalued players but also some chances for undervalued players to be snagged at a cheap price. Let’s review the matchups, analyze some prices, and find some good picks for your Wednesday slate. Let’s dive in!

Fantasy Value Breakdown

Series #1: Hanwha Life Esports v T1 Esports

Series Breakdown: It doesn’t matter how over-inflated I believe T1 player salaries have become, playing HLE justifies every penny. When comparing players across the map, I couldn’t honestly find any Hanwha player I would prefer or could make an arguement for over a T1 player. Of course there is always space for upsets but it seems like a mountain of a job for HLE on Wednesday. The best picks for T1 has to start with Zeus, one of the highest producing LCK top-laners, who has 67 kills and a 4+ KDA. He can win lane regardless of getting a counterpick or getting a lot of jungle attention. He has solid individual skill and even better map knowledge which makes him a huge asset for your lineup.

Favorite Picks: Gumayusi (T1: $12,000/$8,000), Zeus (T1: $6,800), Keria (T1: $6,200), T1 Esports ($5,800)

Value Picks: Karis (HLE: 6,000)

Cann’s Match Pick: T1 Esports (2-0)

Series #2: Gen.G v Liiv Sandbox

Series Breakdown: I am interested in how this match plays out because we get to see how good of a team LSB actually is. They have had some serious production as of late, but they are playing one of the best teams in the world. Gen.G had a huge bounce back series against DRX after a tough loss to T1 in Week 3. I suspect they continue to roll with high production because theyt still have the single most gifted player in the world (Chovy) on their team. He fits so many roles for the team and can match the need mid-draft. He has 53 kills and a near 25% team kill share percentage rate. This gifted mid-laner will need to carry the load because his ADC (Ruler) will have a rough time of it in lane. LSB will look to play through Prince who has the most kills in the LCK at 81 and a KDA of 6.5. Prince may be a sneaky good captain to pick on this slate because of his safety as well as his overall productivity, even in the face of good competition.

Favorite Picks: Chovy (GEN: $11,100/$7,400), Lehends ($5,400), Gen.G ($5,400)

Value Picks: Prince (LSB: $6,600), Croco (LSB: $5,600)

Cann’s Match Pick: Gen.G (2-1)

Series #3: LGD Gaming v Bilibili Gaming

Series Breakdown: I have a hard time finding any players I would want to heavily invest in from this series. It should be a bloody and messy series, but no single player is good enough for me to throw my whole weight behind. Current rumors in the LPL are saying that BLG have had enough of the Doggo show and they are bringing in a new ADC to fill his space. Even if Doggo ends up playing, these stories are enough for me to avoid BLG all together. On the other side of the coin, I don’t love LGD and their lack of consistent spark. Shad0w (former LEC jungler) has sparks where you can see his former skill ceiling, but against good teams it isn’t consistent enough. I personally would fade this match in general unless you are looking for ways to shave off some salary hits in your lineup.

Favorite Picks: FoFo (BLG: $10,800/$7,200), bin (BLG: $6,400), Crisp (BLG: $5,800)

Value Picks: Assum (LGD: $10,800/$7,200), Shad0w (LGD: $6,200)

Cann’s Match Pick: Bilibili Gaming (2-1)

Series #4: Edward Gaming v Ultra Prime

Series Breakdown: This may be the least amount of faith I have ever had in a reigning World Champion in the year following their title. EDG has a real chance of not only losing their crown but realistically not making a deep playoff run at all. Viper does not have access to the same aggressive champions that he used last year and it is partially why the team is sitting at a 5-3 series record and in 5th place. VIper to his credit does have a 33% team kill share percentage, which is an astronomical amount, as well as a 4+ kill per game average. The problem is the meta requires positions like jungle and mid-lane to be more impactful than JieJie and Scout currently are. Watch out for this match as a potential upset as EDG has a pair of really bad losses/close series through the first half of their Summer Split.

Favorite Picks: Viper (EDG: $11,700/$7,800), JieJie (EDG: $7,000),  Edward Gaming ($5,600)

Value Picks: Zoom (UP: $5,400), Cryin (UP: $6,600)

Cann’s Match Pick: Edward Gaming (2-1)
