PrizePicks Prop Selection:

ZywOo (Vitality) - Over 42.5 Kills vs. Astralis (Maps 1-2) - 9:00 AM ET

ZywOo has been excellent on LAN in 2021 with a 1.26 Rating and 0.80 kills per round across 28 maps played. Vitality secured their Legend Status at the Major via the final European RMR event of the year, IEM Fall 2021, and ZywOo was the highest rated player at that crucial event with a 1.37 Rating and 0.88 kills per round across 12 maps played. He always seems to step up when his team needs him the most, and there is no bigger spot than an elimination match at the Major against the team that won the last three Majors. ZywOo’s stats are elite no matter which way you frame them, including his 1.28 Rating and 0.81 kills per round in the past three months.

Vitality are (-205) moneyline favorites here, and I do think the French will sweep 2-0 in this spot. Still, I expect a competitive series considering this is an elimination match, and the experienced team from Denmark has shown that they are not willing to go down with a fight, like when they came back from a 0-2 start in the Challengers Stage. I expect Vitality to pick Vertigo, and ZywOo has looked great on that map with a 1.40 Rating and 0.85 kills per round across four maps played on LAN in the past three months. Nuke makes the most sense as the map pick for Astralis, and ZywOo has dominated that map with a 1.88 Rating and 1.21 kills per round across two maps played on LAN in the past three months, including a 30 kill performance in a 16-6 win against Astralis in October, though Bubzjki was playing for Astralis instead of gla1ve in that match. I’m expecting a closer match-up between these teams this time around, which means that ZywOo should have a massive kill ceiling.

ropz (MOUZ) - Over 38.5 Kills vs. Virtus.pro (Maps 1-2) - 1:00 PM ET

Ropz was the seventh highest rated player at the Challengers Stage of this event with a 1.23 Rating and 0.77 kills per round across nine maps played. He has continued that good form at the Legends Stage with a 1.24 Rating and 0.80 kills per round across four maps played. Ropz has clearly been consistent as he now has a Rating of at least one on six straight maps played. He leads his team in kills per round in the past three months with a 0.76 average, and that number is even higher at 0.78 if we just look at the 20 maps that were played on LAN.

Virtus.pro are (-155) moneyline favorites in this series, but I think that there reasons to like MOUZ as the underdogs. VP lack experience since they just added FL1T to their roster right before the start of this event, and MOUZ have a fairly deep map pool. Inferno makes the most sense as the map pick for VP, but MOUZ have played Inferno more than any other map in pool in the past three months (besides Nuke which is tied for nine maps played). Ropz has done well on that map a 1.21 Rating with 0.75 kills per round across four maps played on LAN in the past three months. MOUZ don’t have a clear map pick here since VP should ban Nuke and pick Inferno, but I think Mirage is a possible option. Ropz has been outstanding on Mirage with a 1.45 Rating and 0.95 kills per round across five maps played on LAN in the past three months. MOUZ should at least be able to take a map here, and ropz could rack up kills in a competitive series between two teams facing elimination.
