PrizePicks Prop Selections
- NiKo (G2) - Over 39.5 Kills (Maps 1-2) - 10:30 A.M. ET
Last time these teams faced each other, Complexity picked Vertigo, and I expect them to do so again in this spot considering they won it last time, plus they can likely float Mirage through as the third map again. Vertigo has been one of NiKo’s best maps in the past three months with a 1.20 Rating and 0.85 kills per round across nine maps played. He finished with 22, 25, 16, 20, 26, 21, 29, 22 and 23 kills on the map, so it is pretty safe to expect him to get at least 20 kills if we do see Vertigo played. He had 22 kills on Vertigo last time against Complexity, though he only finished with 39 kills across the first two maps of that series. G2 went on to win Nuke with ease, 16-9, which meant they only got to play out ten CT rounds in that series, so I do think NiKo can go well over his 39.5 projected total if things stay close. G2 picked Nuke last time against Complexity, but I think they will pick Inferno this time, and NiKo has had at least 20 kills on Inferno his past five times playing the map, with a Rating of at least 1.16 each time. 39.5 kills is a low projection for NiKo in any match-up, but especially in this spot given the projected maps, plus I think Complexity can keep things competitive against G2 here.
- Jame (Virtus.pro) - Over 39.5 Kills (Maps 1-2) - 10:30 A.M. ET
This match-up between VP and BIG is basically a coinflip in terms of the odds, and I do not even expect VP to come out on top, but I still like the over for Jame in this spot. BIG will likely ban Ancient to start, so we can expect Virtus.pro to pick Inferno, which has been a solid map for Jame with a 1.18 Rating and 0.72 kills per round across 13 maps played in the past three months. He has gone under 20 kills on that map on a few occasions, but he has consistently performed well against European teams, while he has only struggled at times against some CIS teams, so BIG could be a favorable match-up for him stylistically. He had 20 kills against Vitality, 24 against NiP, 20 against G2, and 25 against HAVU, so he has had at least 20 kills each time against a team from Europe in the past three months on Inferno. Virtus.pro should be considered favorites on Inferno as well. I think BIG will pick Dust2, which is another excellent map for Jame with a 1.21 Rating and 0.73 kills per round across 15 maps in the past three months. Jame had 20 or more kills for five maps in a row played on Dust2 back in May, though he has missed that mark his last three times on the map. Still, we know that Dust2 has historically been a great map for AWPers, and we have even seen Jame lead the server in kills when his team lost the map, like when he had 27 kills in a 13-16 loss against 100PingGods. I do think BIG will probably be able to win Dust2, but I still see plenty of upside on the over for Jame at a total of only 39.5 kills here regardless of his team’s result.
