It’s Sunday, so you know what that means! It’s time to take a look at the interleague matchups for the upcoming week and determine how it will affect our fantasy lineups. Which players are gaining or losing fantasy value this week? You’ll find that and more here at Fantasy Alarm!

We have a light interleague schedule this week folks, with just five games the entire week being of the interleague variety! The Mets will take the Subway to the Bronx for a weekend series and the Rays will come to the nation’s capital for a quick two game set earlier in the week. Let’s take a look at what fantasy players gain/lose fantasy value for this week!

Mets @ Yankees (7/2-7/4)

In the Subway Series, the Yankees will be trotting out three right-handed pitchers, so Dom Smith will need to be in the lineup, and the team will likely look to keep Kevin Pillar and Billy McKinney in the lineup. The Mets have rotated their DH in past series, so don’t be surprised if they rotate for each game. However, the added spot in the lineup, in theory, solidifies regular time in this series for the likes of Pillar and McKinney.

Winners: Billy McKinney

Losers: None

Rays @ Nationals (6/29-6/30)

Two players have dominated the DH appearances for the Rays this year, and they are Austin Meadows (39) and Randy Arozarena (17). Now, the Rays, sometimes frustratingly, play the matchups, and the Nats are currently scheduled to send out one righty, and one lefty. Of late, Meadows has been DH’ing against lefties, with Arozarena DH’ing versus righties. With it being just a two-game set, no one stands out as gaining or losing an immense amount of fantasy value, but Kevin Kiermaier will get one start in center field, while Brett Phillips gets the other.

Winners: No Major Winners

Losers: No Major Losers
