CFB DFS College Football Week 6

Before we dive into this Week 6 slate, let's touch on a few quick notes. First off, as always, pay attention to the differences in the DraftKings and FanDuel main slates. DK's main early slate includes 14 games in the Saturday afternoon block. However, FanDuel's main slate doesn't include five of those matchups and adds in five other late afternoon and night games instead. These changes make CFB DFS lineup building pretty different depending on the site. For the purposes of this playbook, we focused mainly on the DK slate of games but also look at FD pricing for the main slate. Be sure to check out Pete Cole's night slate playbook for more top plays on the FD side of things. Without further ado, let's get into the CFB DFS top plays for Saturday's College Football Week 6 afternoon matchups.

CFB DFS Quarterbacks Week 6

PlayerTeamOpp.DK $DK FPPGFD $FD FPPG
C.J. StroudOSUMSU920026.371100025.17
The Heisman front-runner gets an easy matchup this week and it will make Stroud a popular QB1 in cash lineups. The Michigan State pass defense has gotten exposed by Washington, Minnesota, and Maryland in the last three games and now ranks 115th in the country in passing yards allowed per game. The Ohio State air attack should have a field day here. Stroud three for 432 yards and six TDs last year in this matchup and we can’t rule out a repeat performance.
Hendon HookerTENNLSU810030.81080028.31
Hooker is playing like a prime darkhorse Heisman contender this season while running the high-scoring Tennessee to near-perfection. He’s thrown for two TDs in each game thus far, with three rushing scores and no interceptions over four games. Hooker’s dual-threat ability is what we love for DFS and he ran for 112 yards and a TD against Florida last game. LSU’s defense doesn’t pose much of a threat, even on the road here, and Hooker is a solid cash play with a GPP ceiling to go off like he did vs. the Gators.
Dorian Thompson-RobinsonUCLAUTAH780026.951000026.35
Anyone catch DTR last week? The UCLA QB was throwing dimes, juking defenders, and playing with a ton of confidence en route to 38 DK points in the win over Washington. This matchup vs. Utah is a step up, but Thompson-Robinson will benefit from playing at home. Utah also had trouble with another dual-threat QB in Anthony Richardson, who ran for 106 yards and three scores with 40 DK in the season opener. Though he may go overlooked on this slate, don’t rule out DTR putting up 30+ DFS points for the third time this season and being a top play.
Will RogersMSSTARK770029.321040026.72
The Arkansas pass defense is one of the worst in the country, allowing 289.4 passing yards per game (128th in FBS). That doesn’t bode well against the Air Raid attack of Mississippi State. The Razorbacks have given up big performances to many opposing QBs this season and Rogers will be the next. We may see him throw for 400+ yards with multiple TDs in this matchup. Rogers has at least 28 DK in four of five games with a 19:3 TD:INT ratio. He's actually fairly affordable as a Super-Flex on DK.
Max DugganTCUKU720029.941010024.96
Duggan is coming off a career game against Oklahoma with 53 DK points thanks to his 116 rushing yards and two rush TDs. Though we can’t expect a repeat of that performance, Duggan and TCU should have plenty of success against a shaky Kansas defense this week. He’s pretty affordable on DK to be your cash Super-Flex and give you 25-30 DFS points in this high-total matchup.
Quinn EwersUTOU650010.23900010.23
All signs are pointing towards Ewers returning as Texas’ starting QB this week – just in time for a rivalry matchup. The Oklahoma defense just got shredded by TCU and Kansas State in back-to-back games and the Longhorns could put up a big number here. Reports tell us that Ewers has looked good in practice without limitations as he returns from the collarbone injury. This may be the cheapest we see him on both sites the rest of the way if he has a big game against OU – and he may be a popular cash QB2.
Aidan O'ConnellPURUMD600020.74880017.51
O’Connell looked rusty last week in his return from injury, throwing for just 199 yards with two picks in the win over Minnesota. The injury factor makes it tough to fully trust the Purdue QB in DFS, but the upside is there in this matchup. Maryland’s pass defense struggled last year and it’s poor again this season. O’Connell had 424 yards and three TDs against Syracuse in Week 3 and could replicate those 30 DFS points in a better matchup here. The health is the only concern.
Nick EversOUUT450005500
Dillon Gabriel is a big question mark to play after suffering an apparent head injury last week. It’s looking more and more like he’ll be out for Oklahoma. Though] it was Davis Beville who relieved Gabriel last game, OU head coach Brent Venables has said that multiple QBs are getting first-team reps in practice and Nick Evers’ name specifically came up in a recent press conference. The true freshman was one of the top dual-threat recruits in the country and may get his time to shine in this rivalry matchup. Shades of Caleb Williams last year, anyone? If we get word ahead of this noon ET kick that Evers is starting, giddyup for dirt cheap.

Other QBs To Consider:

  • Spencer Sanders – Oklahoma State (Cash/GPP)
  • Jaxson Dart – Ole Miss (GPP)
  • Jalon Daniels – Kansas (GPP)
  • Anthony Richardson – Florida (GPP)
  • Taulia Tagovailoa – Maryland (Cash/GPP)

CFB DFS Running Backs Week 6

PlayerTeamOpp.DK $DK FPPGFD $FD FPPG
Bijan RobinsonUTOU900028.461070025.46
Not much explanation needed for arguably the best running back in college football. Robinson has at least 22 DK in every game thus far and has three straight with 100+ yards and a TD. Now he gets a very favorable matchup against an Oklahoma defense that got destroyed on the ground by Kansas State and TCU in back-to-back games. Cash lineups should start with Robinson as your RB1.
Braelon AllenWISCNW850019.82
Last week, Allen had about as bad a game as you can have. He mustered just two yards on eight carries, which is an extreme outlier performance for a guy that usually sees 20+ carries with 100+ yards on a regular basis as Wisconsin’s workhorse. People will fade Allen in all formats because of last week’s dud, but that makes him an attractive GPP option at a lower rostership than normal.
Blake CorumMICHIU790026.62
Corum has been a stud the last two games with 30+ touches in both, 243 rushing yards in one game, and 133 in the other. It’s encouraging to see these games come with Michigan beginning conference play too. It’s possible Donovan Edwards sees more carries this week now that he’s back healthy and the Wolverines being big favorites over Indiana. It’s tough to roster Corum in cash, but his GPP upside is clearly there for a third straight big game.
Dominic RichardsonOKSTTTU710017.92850018.83
Richardson looks like a great cash play on this slate because of his workload in a favorable matchup. The Texas Tech rush defense got destroyed by Kansas State last week and by Texas the game prior. Richardson, meanwhile, is getting workhorse touches in the OK State offense when the team has played power conference opponents. He had 29 total touches last game vs. Baylor and 32 vs. Arizona State, with 24+ carries in both. Combine all that with OKST being a two-score favorite in a higher-total game and Richardson should be in line for a huge stat line.
Quinshon JudkinsMISSVAND640020.84
Judkins’ DK price has finally started to rise, but he’s still a strong play in all formats. The true freshman has been a stud, averaging 6.3 ypc and 107 rush yards per game while emerging as the 1A in the Ole Miss backfield. He’s become a better DFS option than Zach Evans at this point and could rack up 100+ yards and multiple scores against Vandy’s defense here.
Kendre MillerTCUKU600020.52910019.97
Miller is coming off a 136-yard, two TD performance against Oklahoma and now has back-to-back games with 100+ and 25+ DK. If TCU gave him more carries, then he’d be a cash lock against Kansas this week. However, Demercado and Duggan could steal rushing production and TDs from Miller at any point. That puts the TCU RB in GPP territory for this slate, but his DK price is cheap enough to consider.
Devin NealKUTCU540014.28610013.18
With Daniel Hishaw out, Neal should step into more touches in the Kansas backfield after the two previously split carries. Neal is averaging 6.8 ypc this season and has the upside to put up 20+ DFS points with a bigger workload. This is a high-total matchup that should be a back-and-forth with plenty of offensive production on both sides. Neal will be a key part of Kansas’ offense and you can roster in all formats.
Donovan EdwardsMICHIU460013.9
Edwards returned from injury last week and went right back to being a productive DFS option on the cheap despite playing in a secondary role behind Blake Corum. The Michigan offense loves to use two backs and Edwards may see more carries this week now that he’s back healthy. Plus, this should be an easy win and Edwards could see more work in the second half with favorable game script while Corum rests. It’s cheap enough to consider in cash or GPP.
Josh WilliamsLSUTENN30007.2460006.13
Williams got the start at RB for LSU last week and immediately saw 17 carries for 68 yards against Auburn. This is really interesting because John Emery and Noah Cain are also in that backfield, but Williams might have the upper hand right now. LSU head coach Brian Kelly called Williams “the guy” at RB for the team and that was evident with his workload last week. At min price on DK and cheap enough on FD, he’s worth a shot in GPP and possibly cash.

Other RBs To Consider:

  • Eric Gray – Oklahoma (GPP)
  • Miyan Williams – Ohio State (GPP)
  • Raheim Sanders – Arkansas (Cash/GPP)
  • Dillon Johnson – Mississippi State (Cash)
  • Jovantae Barnes – Oklahoma (GPP)

CFB DFS Wide Receivers Week 6

PlayerTeamOpp.DK $DK FPPGFD $FD FPPG
Charlie JonesPURUMD700031.16950021.63
Jones is seeing a ton of targets in the Purdue offense and it’s resulting in some big stat lines with a high floor of reception volume. This week, he’ll face a Maryland pass defense that’s struggled this season just like a year ago. Jones might be more of a GPP option on this slate, but the matchup is a good one with Purdue being small underdogs in a higher-total game.
Emeka EgbukaOSUMSU670025.641000020.64
If you’re playing C.J. Stroud, then you’ll likely want either Marvin Harrison Jr. or Emeka Egbuka in your lineups too. Both are good plays on this slate and both have the upside to smash for 30-40 DFS points at their best. Plus, both are benefiting from Jaxon Smith-Njigba being out – which will likely continue for another week. Egbuka gets the slight nod because he’s been more consistent than Harrison and he’s a tad cheaper on DK. Both could end up with huge stat lines against a poor Michigan State pass D.
Xavier WorthyUTOU630016.22790013.52
Last year, Worthy went off in the Red River Rivalry matchup with nine receptions for 261 yards and two TDs. We’re not saying he’ll do the same this season, but the ceiling is definitely there against a shaky OU defense. Worthy will benefit from Texas getting Quinn Ewers back and the two could connect early and often this week to re-establish their rapport. Worthy had five catches for 97 yards against Alabama with Ewers under center earlier this year. You can roster in cash or GPP.
Malik HeathMISSVANDY580014.4
The Ole Miss passing attack may go overlooked on this slate because the offense centers around the run. Still, this matchup is glorious with Vandy allowing 299.2 passing yards per game (127th in FBS). Malik Heath has been Jaxson Dart’s favorite target when the Rebels do pass it, with team-high’s in receptions (19) and yards (320). He had six catches for 100 yards last week vs. Kentucky and is a solid option in GPP lineups.
Bru McCoyTENNLSU570012.2870009.90
With Cedric Tillman out, McCoy steps into a bigger role as a top target for Hendon Hooker with Jalin Hyatt. We saw McCoy have five catches for 100 yards and a TD with Tillman out last game. He still remains pretty cheap on both sites despite the increased role and is a great play in all formats.
Caleb DuckingMSSTARK550017.24880014.64
We broke down the great matchup for Mississippi State’s Air Raid attack against Arkansas’ bad pass defense above with Will Rogers. One of his top targets is Ducking, whose six TDs lead the team and his 24 receptions are tied for the team high. Ducking is still a nice value on DK despite having 24 and 28 DK points in two of the last four games. He’s an attractive pairing with Rogers.
Julian FlemingOSUMSU500016.37840014.53
Fleming isn’t totally lighting it up like Harrison or Egbuka, but he’s still a reliable target for Stroud and a solid DFS option against Michigan State’s poor pass defense this week. Fleming has four TDs over three games since returning from injury and has at least 15 DK in each. The 5k price tag on DK is way too cheap and he makes for a nice value exposure to the OSU offense.
Kayshon BoutteLSUTENN48006.255002.83
One of these days, Boutte is going to figure out his role in the LSU offense and smash value. His price tags on both sites are way too cheap for his talent level, which is a potential first-round NFL Draft pick. For whatever reason, Boutte hasn’t developed a rapport with Jayden Daniels yet but the breakout is bound to come. It may be this week against a poor Tennessee pass defense that’s actually the worst on this slate. Take a shot in GPPs as long as he’s this cheap.
Dominic LovettMIZZUF380018.3
On the DK slate, Lovett is priced way too low and could be a great salary-saver if he plays. Unfortunately he’s questionable with a leg injury, creating a key situation to monitor before the 12 pm ET kickoff. If Lovett plays, then strongly consider as a cash value. The wideout has been a favorite target for Mizzou QB Brady Cook in nearly every game this season and would provide a solid floor for his cheap price.
Ja'Tavion SandersUTOU350011.8456009.84
Sanders is way too cheap on both sites for what his role is in the Texas offense. He’s arguably the Longhorns’ second-best pass-catcher behind Xavier Worthy and has five receptions in back-to-back games coming into this favorable matchup against Oklahoma. The tight end had six catches for 85 yards and a TD in the season opener with Quinn Ewers under center and proved to be a reliable target for the young QB. If you need a cheap receiver to fit in studs, Sanders is solid in cash or GPP.
Luke SchoonmakerMICHIU34007.24
Schoonmaker has been very productive with a ton of targets and receptions the past two games while filling in as Michigan’s starting tight end in Erick All’s absence. Head coach Jim Harbaugh has even praised him this week, calling Schoonmaker one of the best tight ends in the country and in Michigan’s history. He’s a massive value on DK at under 4k and is a great salary-saver in cash or GPP lineups to fit in more studs. He also gets a nice matchup against Indiana's bad pass defense.

Other WRs To Consider:

  • Marvin Harrison Jr. – Ohio State (Cash/GPP)
  • Brock Bowers – Georgia (GPP)
  • Rara Thomas – Mississippi State (Cash/GPP)
  • Will Sheppard – Vanderbilt (Cash)
  • Luke Grimm – Kansas (Cash)
  • Ja'Varrius Johnson – Auburn (GPP)
  • Brayden Willis – Oklahoma (GPP)
  • Xavier White – Texas Tech (GPP)
