Myles Cale, Seton Hall – OVER 14.5 Pts+Rebs+Asts

With Bryce Aiken sidelined with a concussion, Myles Cale has taken on a bigger offensive role for Seton Hall. He’s averaging 13 PPG over the last five games with Aiken out and took double-digit shot attempts in all but one of those contests. That’s a notable uptick in shot volume from what he was previously doing this season. Cale is also averaging 19.8 combined points, rebounds and assists over these five games with Aiken out - and he’s put up at least 15 PRA in four of the five (with 13 in the outlier). With no clear timetable for Aiken’s return, we can expect him to sit out again tonight - though maybe you want to wait for confirmation before locking in this Cale play.

Matthew Murrell, Mississippi – OVER 17.5 Pts+Rebs+Asts

Ole Miss recently received some brutal news as freshman playmaker Daeshun Ruffin will miss the rest of the season with a knee injury. With Ruffin out, there’s a ton of offensive usage and production to go around for the rest of the Rebels. One guy that will benefit moving forward is Matthew Murrell, a sophomore guard/wing who’s been second on the team in shot rate during conference play (behind Ruffin). In the first game without Ruffin on Saturday, Murrell scored 14 points on a season-high 16 shot attempts and finished with 18 PRA while playing every single minute. That was on the road against Florida in a low-scoring game. Now Murrell gets to play in a fast-paced environment vs. Alabama (17th-quickest tempo in the nation) where there will be plenty of opportunities at points, rebounds, and assists in a short Ole Miss rotation. Even before Ruffin’s injury, Murrell went over this 17.5 PRA line in seven of the previous ten games.

Kendric Davis, SMU – UNDER 17.5 Points

Let’s wrap things up with an under pick. There’s no denying that Kendric Davis is a walking bucket and certainly capable of dropping 20+ points in any given night. Despite being a dynamic scorer, though, the SMU point guard has his toughest matchup of the season tonight against Houston. The Cougars boast the nation’s 11th-best defense in terms of efficiency and have by far the best defense in the AAC. Meanwhile, Davis has scored 17 or fewer points in five of the last seven games – including totals of 13, 11, and eight points scored in the past three contests. He’s gone cold as a shooter at just 7-for-25 from the field and 2-for-11 from three in these last three, while many of his points are coming from the free-throw line. That won’t cut it against a tough Houston defense that’ll likely keep Davis under 17.5 points.
