Marcus Carr, Texas -- OVER 13.5 Points
The Longhorns’ point guard took a couple months to get used to things after transferring over in the offseason, but he’s looked much more comfortable during conference play. Carr is averaging 14.7 PPG against Big 12 competition this season and he’s scored 14+ points in five of the last six conference matchups. He’s being more assertive offensively in recent games and is performing more and more like the elite playmaker we saw last season at Minnesota. He’ll benefit from a pace-boost tonight against an uptempo Kansas squad and also gets to play at home. He’s shooting 41.5% from the field and 38.6% from three at home this season compared to 36.8 FG% and 27.8 3P% on the road.
Armaan Franklin, Virginia -- UNDER 3.0 Rebounds
This rebounding line may seem low, but it’s really not when you consider Franklin’s numbers and matchup tonight. First off, the UVA wing is averaging only 2.8 RPG this season and just 3.1 RPG over the past ten games. So it’s basically right in line with this 3.0 number. When you look closer at how he’s getting the rebounds, though, it could mean fewer opportunities tonight. The large majority of Franklin’s boards are on the defensive end with only a handful of offensive rebounds all year. That doesn’t bode well against a Duke team that’s the ACC’s best offensive rebounding team with Mark Williams and Paolo Banchero dominating the glass.
D’Shawn Schwartz, George Mason -- OVER 23.5 Pts+Rebs+Asts
Let’s go with a mid-major player for this third one to shake things up. Schwartz is now playing a big role for George Mason after transferring over from Colorado in the offseason. He’s been stuffing the stat sheet all year and is even more consistent during conference play. Schwartz is averaging 17.8 PPG and 25 PRA over seven A-10 games and he’s gone over this 23.5 PRA prop in five of the last seven. Expect him to be active all over the court in this pace-boosted matchup at Richmond.
