Jacob Gilyard, Richmond – OVER 13.5 Points

This 13.5 over/under for Gilyard is pretty much in-line with his season-long 12.7 PPG average, but it’s a bit too low when you consider how good he’s been lately. The Richmond point guard has scored 14 or more points in six of the last seven games with 17+ in four of those. He even has a pair of scoring outbursts of 31 and 28 points against Fordham and Davidson, respectively. During conference play, Gilyard is averaging 16 PPG vs. Atlantic 10 competition and he’ll no doubt be an offensive catalyst tonight at home vs. St. Bonaventure. Gilyard’s three-point shooting, specifically, will come in handy against a Bonnies defense that’s struggled to stop opposing perimeter scoring all season.

Jamal Cain, Oakland – OVER 29.5 Pts+Rebs+Asts

The Marquette transfer has been a top player in the Horizon League all season and he’s a nightly mismatch in this mid-major conference. No offense to Northern Kentucky, but it could struggle to contain Cain’s athletic build and versatile scoring ability tonight. Cain is averaging 20.3 PPG and 10.1 RPG this season and he’s averaging 30.2 PRA over the past eight games vs. Horizon competition. In the last two games, specifically, Cain has been a beast offensively and on the boards with performances of 26 points/12 rebounds and 26 points/21 rebounds. Though he doesn’t offer much in the assists category, Cain is a force in the paint and should get to 30 PRA.

Matt Bradley, San Diego State – OVER 5.5 Rebounds

Like Jamal Cain, here’s another high-major transfer who’s now lighting it up in a smaller conference. Bradley, the former Cal standout, is now San Diego State’s top overall player and stat-stuffer. As for rebounds, specifically, he’s averaging 5.1 RPG this season but has been a bit more active on the glass lately. He’s grabbed six rebounds or more in five of the last six games and had seven boards against Colorado State (tonight’s opponent) earlier this season. On the road in this rematch, expect Bradley to be active in the paint on both ends as he tries to lead the Aztecs to the win.
