Chet Holmgren (Gonzaga) – OVER 26.5 Pts+Rebs+Asts

If you’ve watched Chet Holmgren play basketball recently, it shouldn’t come as a surprise that he’s considered a legit candidate to go No. 1 overall in this year’s NBA Draft. The freshman’s performance vs. BYU on Saturday was a perfect example of his versatile, high-upside talent: 20 points, 17 rebounds, six assists, five blocks and two made three-pointers. Though he’s admittedly very lanky, that hasn’t mattered as much at the collegiate level - especially in a subpar West Coast conference.

Holmgren honestly looks like a man amongst boys out there more often than not. His 7-foot frame gives him a significant size advantage over the smaller WCC frontcourts and that’ll be the case again tonight vs. Pacific. This 26.5 PRA line seems a bit too low considering his nightly floor and ceiling. Holmgren has scored 20+ points and grabbed at least nine rebounds in four of the last five games. He’s now averaging 17.3 points and 10.6 rebounds per game during conference play and has gone over this 26.5 PRA line in five of eight WCC matchups, with 25 and 24 PRA in two others.

Wendell Moore Jr. (Duke) – UNDER 21.5 Pts+Rebs+Asts

First off, taking the under on someone with Wendell Moore’s talent is always a risky bet - but the stats and trends back it up tonight. The Duke sophomore has gone over 21.5 PRA just once in the past five games and he’s been under this line in eight of the last 11 contests. Moore undoubtedly possesses the skill level to go off for 20 points scored and 10+ rebounds+assists in any given game, but that simply hasn’t been happening lately. More often than not, he’s taking a backseat in most stat categories to the likes of Paolo Banchero, Mark Williams, AJ Griffin, Trevor Keels or Jeremy Roach - whether it be as a scorer, rebounder or assist-man. Maybe that changes tonight, but he only had 19 PRA vs. Clemson in the first meeting.

Jason Carter (Ohio) – OVER 15.5 Points

Even though Jason Carter scored only seven points last time out, bank on a bounce-back performance for the Ohio big man tonight. This matchup is a very favorable one for Carter down low, with Central Michigan having one of the worst two-point defenses in the country - ranking 340th nationally, per KenPom - and a poor defensive rebounding rate. Carter should have a notable talent advantage over the CMU frontcourt and dominate the interior. Before his dud last game, Carter scored at least 16 points in each of the four previous games and he’s averaging 16 PPG during MAC play. Let’s count on him asserting himself in the paint tonight.

Bennedict Mathurin (Arizona) – OVER 2.5 Free Throws Made

How about a random free throws pick for this last one? Trust me, there’s a clear angle here that we should target - and it’s not just because Bennedict Mathurin is an uber-talented wing with legit NBA potential. That certainly helps, though. The real reason we’re backing Mathurin’s free throws tonight is because of how aggressive he seems to play on the road this season - especially driving to the rim and getting to the free-throw line. Over seven true road games this season, he’s averaging 4.2 made free throws per game with at least three makes in six of those seven contests. Plus, he’s getting to the line 5.7 times per game on the road while shooting 75% from the charity stripe overall. The offensive aggression on the road from Mathurin is what we like here. For comparison’s sake, he’s only averaging 2.5 made free throws at home this season.
