College Basketball CBB DFS Picks

CBB DFS Top Guards

PlayerTeamOpp.DK $DK FPPGFD $FD FPPG
Baylor ScheiermanCREUCONN990038.91890035.11
The price tags have gotten expensive for Baylor Scheierman, but he continues to produce at an elite level. After dropping 27 points with 48 DK on Saturday, he now has six straight double-doubles and 45+ DK in five straight. Scheierman is as consistent as it gets when it comes to top-tier cash guards. A matchup vs UConn is a tough one, but he should still come through at home. If you want to pay down a bit, look at Trey Alexander as a GPP target from Creighton.
Dalton KnechtTENNMIZZ870032.44840030.46
Dalton Knecht is coming off a “quiet” performance over the weekend with 14 points and 26 DK in a blowout win vs Vandy. Still, he’s averaging 26.4 PPG and 41 DK over the past 10 games and can easily get back to his stud level tonight. Missouri has a terrible defense and Tennessee should have plenty of success in this spot even on the road. Knecht has 39, 37, 26, 51, 51, and 44 DK in road games during conference play so far.
Tristen NewtonUCONNCRE850035.07810032.15
Tristen Newton had been a bit quiet lately, but he was a stud in UConn’s blowout of Marquette over the weekend with 41 DK and a stuffed stat sheet. Newton brings a strong cash floor of ancillary stats and tends to be more active as a scorer in road games. He had a strong 37 DK effort vs Creighton in the first meeting and should do something similar here.
DJ HorneNCSTSYR830029.15
DJ Horne is on a heater right now with 24+ points scored and 32+ DK in five straight games. He’s taking a ton of shots for NC State as the offense revolves around him. Horne had 28 DK and a stuffed stat sheet vs Syracuse earlier this season and can easily keep it going in this home rematch. The Cuse defense is inconsistent right now and Horne should be locked into shots.
Tyson WalkerMSUIOWA750030.62730028.92
Rostering opposing studs against Iowa has been a profitable DFS strategy and we get to do it here with Tyson Walker. The Michigan State combo guard has scored 19+ points in four of the past five games and he’s averaging 15.5 PPG with 28 DK over the past 10 contests. Walker has more upside in pace-boost matchups and he gets a good one here at home to come through in cash or GPP.
Ja'Kobe WalterBAYBYU660025.91670024.62
People will likely fade Ja’Kobe Walter and other Baylor guys on the road at BYU tonight, but that makes him a prime contrarian GPP play. Walter has been a streaky scorer and DFS performer, but the stud freshman carries plenty of upside when he’s on. He also tends to step up on the road with 28, 34, and 37 DK in three recent road games. He’s worth a look in GPP lineups.

CBB DFS Value Guards

Jayden NunnBAYBYU620020.59590018.51
Jayden Nunn is feeling it right now and he’s a prime upside GPP value tonight. He’s scored 27 and 20 points in the past two games with 39 and 30 DK, respectively. Nunn has taken on more shots and a bigger role with Langston Love sidelined, which may continue tonight. On the road at BYU is tough, but Nunn should be a big part of Baylor’s offense and will exceed his prices if he stays hot.
Dallin HallBYUBAY590022.92560020.77
Despite putting up 27 and 26 DK in the past two games with stuffed stat sheets, Dallin Hall is oddly at his cheapest DK price since early January. Let’s pounce on the discount as Hall should be heavily involved in tonight’s marquee matchup vs Baylor. The BYU point guard is averaging a strong 25 DK over the past 10 games with production across multiple stat categories. Hall had 24 DK vs Baylor on the road in the first meeting and really shouldn’t be priced below 6k right now.
Jameer Nelson Jr.TCUTTU580023.23520021.58
Jameer Nelson Jr. has now started the past two games for TCU and produced 36 and 20 DK in those starts. He’s a bigger part of the offense right now than he was for most of conference play and it’s raised his floor/ceiling for DFS. TCU sits on the NCAA Tournament bubble right now and Nelson looks like he’ll be in an increased role moving forward. He’s an upside value while being cheap enough still.
Santiago VescoviTENNMIZZ540018.53500017.12
Santiago Vescovi weirdly hasn’t been as consistent in real life or for DFS this season as expected. Still, he continues to be a solid value as long as he’s priced in the 5k range. Vescovi has 21+ DK in four of the past eight games and brings more three-point upside into this matchup because Mizzou doesn’t defend the three well. Vescovi is shooting nearly 40% from three in conference play and can score double-digit points in this spot to return value.
Darin Green Jr.FSUBC520020.96
In the right matchups, Darin Green has the upside to score double-digit points with 20-25 DK. Tonight is a good spot at home against a weak Boston College defense. BC especially struggles to defend the three and Green is Florida State’s top shooter, making 38% from deep in conference play. Green has 20+ DK in 10 of the past 13 games and can do it again here.
Brendan HausenVUBUTLE450010.89
On the DK slate, Villanova has a couple of values to consider. Hakim Hart has been doing just enough across the board to return value and he’s in play at just 5k. Another cheaper value is Brendan Hausen, who’s been hot from three lately. The sophomore is shooting 50% from three over the past 10 games with 3+ makes in four straight. He’s averaging 13.8 PPG and 20 DK over these past four, which we’ll take all day at this sub-5k price.

Ryan KalkbrennerCREUCONN840034.14860032.48
Ryan Kalkbrenner is playing really well right now and continues to be a great cash forward. The Creighton center is averaging 19.3 points, 7.7 rebounds, 3.1 blocks, and 38 DK over the past 10 games. UConn does present a tough matchup, but Kalkbrenner had 33 DK in the first meeting and should produce enough to anchor cash lineups here. He has at least 31 DK in 13 straight games and 16 of the last 17.
Jaedon LeDeeSDSUUTST830036.18
If San Diego St wants to pull off the road win at Utah State tonight, it’ll need a big game from Jaedon LeDee. It is a tough spot to trust LeDee, but he did have 16 points, 9 rebounds, and 32 DK in the first meeting vs Utah St. The big man is averaging a strong 18 PPG and 32 DK over the past 10 contests and we can usually pencil him in for 30 DK or so with his consistent production. He may go overlooked on this slate, but LeDee is a nice contrarian play on the DK slate.
Eric DixonVUBUTLE770028.31
When Villanova faced Butler last month, Eric Dixon went off for 28 points and 46 DK. The weaker Butler frontcourt had trouble containing him then and we shouldn’t be surprised if it happens again – this time at home for Nova. Dixon has those ceiling games in his bag and he just had 37 DK over the weekend.
Jonas AidooTENNMIZZ760027.66690026.34
Jonas Aidoo tends to be an up-and-down DFS play, but his GPP ceiling of 30+ DFS points is always there at his best. Tonight, we could get one of those upside games with a favorable matchup. Mizzou is terrible defensively and is the worst rebounding team in the SEC. It sets up well for Aidoo to get a double-double with 30-40 DK if he stays out of foul trouble.
Malik HallMSUIOWA750023.34610022.10
First off, Malik Hall is a bit too expensive on DK but is a much better value on FD. This matchup vs Iowa is a good one for opposing bigs as the Hawkeyes struggle to rebound and defend inside. Hall has scored 18, 29, and 22 points in the past three games and he’s averaging 16.2 PPG with 26 DK over the past 10 contests. He has GPP upside tonight in a favorable home pace-boost matchup.

CBB DFS Value Forwards

PlayerTeamOpp.DK $DK FPPGFD $FD FPPG
Chris BellSYRNCST610018.08
Since Benny Williams left the team, Chris Bell has been a good value for DFS. He’s now locked into 30+ minutes per game with a more consistent shot volume. Though the majority of his shots are coming from three-point range, which makes him risky, he’ll face an NC State defense that has had issues defending from deep. Bell has 21+ DK in three of four games without Williams now and has the upside for more when he gets hot.
Mohamed DiarraNCSTSYR570015.25
Mohamed Diarra had been quiet for most of ACC play, but he’s now coming off two huge games. The NC State big man had 36 DK and a double-double vs Wake Forest and then 11 points, 9 rebounds, and 33 DK last game vs Clemson. He also played 30+ minutes in both. It’s tough to tell if these past two games were matchup-oriented or a sign of things to come – but Diarra is worth a GPP value shot at home vs a weaker Cuse frontcourt.
JaKobe ColesTCUTTU520018.67430017.52
If Warren Washington is out again for Texas Tech tonight, then TCU’s frontcourt guys have more DFS upside here. JaKobe Coles is a candidate to exceed value if he’s more active offensively inside. The big man was quiet last game but scored double-digit points in four straight previously. His minutes are capped at 20 or so, but the upside is still there with Tech being undersized in Washington’s absence.
Robert JenningsTTUTCU50007.747007.24
With Warren Washington out last game, Robert Jennings got the start and put up 13 points with 21 DK in 29 minutes. Check on Washington’s status before locking in Jennings. If the latter does start again, though, then he’s a clear value with the uptick in minutes and overall role – especially since Tech lacks size outside of Jennings. He also played 20 minutes with 15 DK the game prior.
