TONY FINAU WINS THE MASTERS (+3300)

He is on a list that no PGA Tour golfer wants to be on, being one of the best players in the world but have not won a major championship.  Jon Rahm, Xander Schauffele, Tyrrell Hatton, Patrick Cantlay, Daniel Berger, Tommy Fleetwood, Hideki Matsuyama, Rickie Fowler are just some of the other players gracing that list with Finau.  He currently ranks 17th in the world golf rankings and has had back to back Top 10 finishes at Augusta National.  Tony ranks 11th in Strokes Gained: Tee to Green, 16th in Par 5 Scoring, and 23rd in Strokes Gained: Approach.  He steps up on the biggest stages with a 4th place finish at the PGA Championship, an 8th place finish at the U.S. Open and has back to back Top 25 finishes leading into this week’s major.  You would be smart to hedge yourself by also betting him to Top 5 and Top 10 this weekend as well.

BROOKS KOEPKA FINISHES TOP 10 (+200)

Koepka will likely be my One-And-Done selection for the Masters this weekend.  He has improved his finish each year he’s teed it up at Augusta National.  Finished 33rd in his debut back in 2015, then 21st in 2016 before just missing the Top 10 in 2017 and last year tied for second with Xander Schauffele.  He’s worked himself back into championship shape over the last month with a 28th at the CJ Cup and a 5th at the Houston Open last weekend.  We all know the type of player he is and his ability turn it on when needed.  Koepka plays better with a chip on his shoulder and he absolutely hates that everyone is fawning all over Bryson DeChambeau after his historic win at the U.S. Open.  He’s the type that feeds off people writing him off and I know he’ll be out for blood this weekend.

RICKIE FOWLER FINISHES TOP 20 (+200)

While the 2019-2020 season is one that Fowler would like everyone to forget, Augusta has always been a sweet spot for Rickie.  I love this bet for the simple fact that he’s done it five of the last six years.  2014 finished 5th, 2015 finished 12th, missed the cut in 2016, came back and finished 11th in 2017, finished runner up in 2018 and 9th last year.  I’m not going to spit out stats for Rickie because they aren’t great over the last year.  If you’ve read my work in the past, you know that I’m a course history guy over recent play.  I know as a golfer I always feel more at ease teeing it up on a course that I know like the back of my hand.  Rickie hangs around and sneaks into the Top 20 on Sunday while the leaders are battling it out.

MASTERS WINNING MARGIN 1 STROKE (+250)

After what happened at the U.S. Open, I feel like a lot of people believe that Bryson DeChambeau will come and run away with this tournament because of his incredible swing speed.  I know he’s completely changed his game but you know he’s never finished inside the Top 25 at Augusta?  I only say all this because I really don’t feel like anyone is going to run away with the green jacket this weekend because there is just too much talent in this field.  No one has won the Masters by more than one stroke since 2016 when Danny Willett beat out Jordan Spieth and Lee Westwood.  You will see a stacked leaderboard with all the names you know and love.  I feel really confident about this one and I love the odds.
