Adam Henrique scored his sixth goal of the season in Monday's 6-5 overtime win against the Los Angeles Kings.

Henrique provided the heroics in the extra session, beating Cal Petersen at 3:00 of overtime with helpers from Kevin Shattenkirk and Trevor Zegras. He also finished with a shorthanded assist, a plus-3 rating and two shots on goal in 14:26 of ice time across 23 shifts while winning seven of his 11 faceoff attempts (63.6 percent). Henrique has two goals and five points with a plus-3 rating during his season-high three-game point streak.

Rickard Rakell finished with two goals and an assist in Monday's 6-5 overtime win against the Los Angeles Kings.

Rakell ended up with a plus-3 rating, two shots on goal and two hits in 19:11 of ice time across 28 shifts. After a slow start with just one goal and three points in 10 games in January, and one goal with seven points through the first 20, he has posted five goals and 12 points with a plus-7 rating across the past six contests. It wasn't pretty, but someone had to win the seesaw affair in this battle of SoCal rivals. Gibson held a 5-3 victory heading into the third period, but Andreas Athanasiou sliced the lead to 5-4 early in the period, and Adrian Kempe notched his third of the game at 17:28 to force overtime. However, Adam Henrique bailed him out with the game-winning tally in the extra session.

Cal Petersen allowed six goals on just 25 shots in Monday's 6-5 overtime loss against the Anaheim Ducks.

Petersen fell behind 5-3 after 40 minutes, but Andreas Athanasiou and Adrian Kempe scored in the third period to force overtime. Still, it was an ugly game for both goaltenders in this one. Petersen coughed up the game-winning goal to Adam Henrique at 3:00 of overtime, slipping to 4-4-4 with a 2.74 goals-against average and .914 save percentage. The Kings will look to bounce back in the second end of the back-to-back at Anaheim on Wednesday.

Anze Kopitar picked up two assists in Monday's 6-5 overtime loss against the Anaheim Ducks.

Kopitar had the primary assist on Dustin Brown's power-play goal 61 seconds into the second period to make it 2-2, and he had the secondary helper on Adrian Kempe's power-play marker at 16:28 of the second to slice Anaheim's lead to 4-3. Kopitar is tied with Toronto's Mitch Marner for fourth in the NHL with 24 assists behind just Edmonton's Leon Draisaitl (26), Chicago's Patrick Kane (27) and Edmonton's Connor McDavid (30).

Kempe scored the first-ever hat trick in Kings franchise history against the Ducks. The only other teams the Kings have not posted a hat trick against are the Vegas Golden Knights and the Florida Panthers. He ended up with six shots on goal, a blocked shot, a minor penalty and three hits in 19:45 of ice time across 27 shifts. He has recorded nine goals and 17 points across 24 games.
