It was another busy weekend for injuries that continue to wreak havoc on fantasy leagues as we head down the stretch of the regular season.  While no elite players went down with injuries, there are several key impact players who will be missed.  This is why it is so important for you to build depth and surplus earlier in the year so you can withstand losses like this and utilize in trade negotiations.  So without further ado, here is the next edition of the fantasy football walking wounded.

Tony Romo (QB – DAL)

The time has finally come for Tony Romo to return.  He is due back on the field for Week 11 against Miami which is great news for fantasy owners that have Cowboys offensive players.  Romo will certainly provide a boost as a fantasy quarterback, but his return will have a great positive effect on players like Dez Bryant, Jason Witten and Darren McFadden

Peyton Manning (QB – DEN)

It was a bittersweet record-setting game for Peyton Manning who set an NFL record for passing yards but also had arguably the worst game of his career in a loss to Kansas City.  Manning was pulled from the game and is reportedly suffering from plantar fasciitis in his right foot.  Given how fragile Manning is and the diminished quality of his play lately, there is a good chance Brock Osweiler is under center next week and going forward.

Julian Edelman (WR – NE)

Edelman suffered a broken bone in his foot on Sunday against the Giants.  He will undergo surgery to repair the fracture and will likely miss the rest of the regular season.  This is a similar injury and surgery that Dez Bryant underwent after Week 1 so we have a decent idea on when Edelman could come back.  Look for Danny Amendola to replace Edelman in the Patriots’ lineup making him worth a waiver wire acquisition.

Eddie Lacy (RB – GB)

Lacy was inactive for Week 10 which was not a big surprise because he had been banged up, ineffective and lost his starting job to James Starks heading into the week.  Lacy has been a tremendous bust this season but you should not drop him under any circumstances.  The Packers have been slumping and need all hands on deck, so look for Lacy to get the opportunity to take his job back once he is healthy and back on the field.

Sam Bradford (QB – PHI)

Bradford took a double whammy in the Eagles' loss to Miami when he suffered a concussion and Grade II AC joint sprain in his left shoulder.  The good news is that it is his non-throwing shoulder, but the bad news is that it is unlikely he will play the next week or two.  Bradford had been throwing the ball extremely well so the timing of this injury couldn’t be worse.  Mark Sanchez will get the start in his place so consider him in two-QB leagues.

Matt Forte (RB – CHI)

Forte missed his second straight game with a knee injury despite making progress late in the week at practice.  The Bears are hopeful he will be back next week which would be a big boost for fantasy owners who have been depleted at the running back position.  Chicago’s offense has played well the past few weeks so Forte should be able to augment that and benefit from Jay Cutler’s resurgence.

Ryan Mathews (RB – PHI)

Mathews has been a frequent visitor to this injury report but has managed to avoid it this season thus far.  However, he suffered a concussion during the Eagles' loss to Miami and will be questionable for Week 11.  Despite not being a starter, Mathews has gotten enough work and provided productivity to be considered a solid RB2 or Flex if he plays next week.

Michael Floyd (WR – ARZ)

Floyd was having a huge game against Seattle on Sunday night before being forced out of the game with a hamstring injury.  He did not return after catching two touchdown passes and going over 100 yards receiving.  His status for next week is questionable so you will have to check back in later in the week to see if he can return for Sunday night’s game against Cincinnati.

Austin Seferian-Jenkins (TE – TB)

Inexplicably Seferian-Jenkins was inactive once again for Week 10 despite reports indicating he could have been ready to play the past couple weeks.  At this point it is not worth holding onto him because we cannot rely on him getting back on the field.  This is unfortunate because Seferian-Jenkins could have been headed towards TE1 status with his early season success.

Andrew Hawkins (WR – CLE)

Hawkins suffered a concussion during Sunday’s game against the Steelers and was forced from the game.  This is now the second concussion he has suffered in the past three weeks which is a major cause for concern.  Of even greater concern is the fact that he apparently has no memory of the injury.  Given the severity of this situation, do not expect Hawkins to be back on the field any time soon.
