De'Von Achane ran the fastest forty time among all RBs at the NFL combine at 4.32 seconds - in fact, that's within the 99th percentile for all running backs according to Player Profiler. That's part of the reason the Dolphins scooped him up in the third round of the 2023 NFL Draft. The big criticism of him is his smaller size at 5'9" 188 pounds but he claims that this is the first offseason where he hasn't run track and he's already up to 192 pounds. The next question is whether he can take over that lead role as a rookie or if he will serve more as insurance for the oft-injured Raheem Mostert.
