2024 Player Outlook

2023 Recap: Despite rarely being fully healthy last season, Alex Kirilloff hit .270/.348/.455 with 11 homers in 88 games, posting a 117 OPS+. Despite rarely being fully healthy last season, Kirilloff hit .270/.348/.455 with 11 homers in 88 games and turned in a fantastic .300/.373/.485 line against righties. He also posted a 117 OPS+ which was similiar to teammates Max Kepler (121) and Jorge Polanco (115). Kirilloff injured his shoulder midseason, which caused him to miss all of August. He battled through it and had a decent September, but Kirilloff came up empty offensively in the playoffs.

2024 Outlook: Kirilloff is penciled in as the starter in 2024 but adding the Twins’ preference to play platoons when possible (Kirilloff is a career .207/.287/.343 against left-handed pitchers) on top of the injury concerns, Jose Miranda may end up winning a platoon job at first base along with AK.
