We have a four-game NBA DFS main slate on Thursday, November 2nd, on DraftKings and FanDuel. We have plenty star power potentially on display tonight such as Joel Embiid, Kevin Durant, possibly Devin Booker, Tyrese Maxey, and Scottie Barnes. The biggest news of the slate thus far is Zion Williamson being ruled out and Brandon Ingram is questionable to boot. Make sure to check out today's NBA DFS projections and NBA DFS ownership projections before finalizing your lineups today. Keep your eyes on the news leading up to and beyond roster lock.

Favorite Starters to Use for DFS Lineups

Joel Embiid, Philadelphia 76ers

Nobody has the ceiling Embiid has on this slate. Nobody. The reigning, defending, MVP of the league is coming off an 81 DKP outing and before that, put up 63. He’s a fantastic option if you’re comfortable with the value on the slate.

Tyrese Maxey, Philadelphia 76ers

Maxey was apparently dealing with a hand injury but you wouldn’t be able to tell by the 50/55/90 shooting splits through his first few games of the year. He’s contributing everywhere and is going to be an absolute fantasy monster with James Harden traded away. He’s the clear 1B to Joel Embiid on this offense and there are going to be times when he’s the leading scorer. He scored 34 points against the Raptors already once this year.

Scottie Barnes, Toronto Raptors

How many players have been as good as Scottie Barnes this year? This list is not very long. He had another 50 DKP last night and did so in 29 minutes thanks to the ass-whooping they handed out to the Bucks. Barnes is doing EVERYTHING for this Raptors squad right now as he leads them in USG (25.1%) and FP/min (1.29). The Raptors are one of two teams on this slate in notable pace-up spots.

CJ McCollum, New Orleans Pelicans

*Update* - Zion Williamson has been ruled out. McCollum is a must-play in all formats at his price point. Brandon Ingram is also a must if he suits up. *Original* - We’re unsure if Brandon Ingram is going to be playing tonight, but even if he does, CJ McCollum is really just too cheap. With Ingram on the floor this year, McCollum has averaged 1.08 FP/min, which is still an elite number for a guy playing mid-30s minutes. Without Ingram so far this season, McCollum has averaged 1.25 FP/min.

Keldon Johnson, San Antonio Spurs

We always thought Victor Wembanyama would dominate usage and FP/min averages, and although he has, Keldon Johnson is hot on his tails. Johnson’s posted a 23.1% USG and is averaging 1.04 FP/min. He had a brutal outing against the Clippers in which he only played 24 minutes and they lost by 50. He’s put up 33+ DKP in the other three games including 42.75 DKP against the Suns. The Spurs are projected to be one of the lower-owned teams of the slate overall.

Honorable mention(s): Jonas Valanciunas, New Orleans Pelicans, Kevin Durant, Phoenix Suns, Jusuf Nurkic, Phoenix Suns, Franz Wagner & Paolo Banchero, Orlando Magic

Favorite Value Plays to Use for DFS Lineups

John Collins, Utah Jazz

Do you want a safe floor? Do you want a cheap option you can use at PF/C that’s always on the court? Collins has put up 28+ DKP in all five games with a ceiling of 35 DKP. He has three double-doubles, has scored double-figures in each game, and has taken 10+ shots in all but one game. On smaller slates, it feels nice knowing you have a guy putting at least 5x return in the bank.

Jordan Clarkson, Utah Jazz

I know he’s going to be popular but how in the world has his price gotten this cheap? He had a monster game last night and finally shot the ball well. He only played 26 minutes and wasn’t needed in the fourth quarter last night, so that’s good for his legs on the second leg of the back-to-back here. You’re not going to find many volume shooters that are this cheap and starting.

Jalen Suggs, Orlando Magic

Suggs does not have the greatest usage rate but he does a little of everything for the Magic and continues to start at SG for them. Suggs played a season-high 32 minutes and has now put up 26+ DKP in three straight contests. The Magic get a massive pace-up spot here while drawing the Magic on the second leg of back-to-back.

Jordan Hawkins & Dyson Daniels, New Orleans Pelicans

With Zion Williamson now ruled out, it’s hard not to go back to the Hawkins well. If Ingram returns, this lineup is easily flexible. You can just move Herbert Jones to the PF spot instead of using Larry Nance, who’s their backup center. They may have to go big if Jalen Duren is in the lineup for Detroit. Hawkins has taken 32 over the last two starts. He’ll be chalky if he continues to start and the pivot – cheaper at that – is Dyson Daniels who’s now played 22+ minutes in three straight games.

Honorable Mention(s): Kelly Olynyk, Utah Jazz, Talen Horton-Tucker, Utah Jazz, Larry Nance Jr., New Orleans Pelicans, Matt Ryan, New Orleans Pelicans
