Below are game breakdowns and optimal lineups for Monday afternoon’s three-game NHL DFS slate.

Senators @ Bruins

Boston is easily the biggest favorite of this slate at -250, and the game has a fantasy-friendly over/under of six, which is higher than the standard 5.5. Their top line of Brad Marchand, Patrice Bergeron and David Pastrnak will be the obvious chalk. Get what exposure you can to them in cash. We’ll try to sprinkle in some value pick as we go along here to make that easier. Goalie Tuukka Rask will also be chalky with the B’s being a big home favorite.

One such value option on FanDuel comes from Boston’s second line in Ryan Donato at only $3700. Donato has a top six role on the second line, and he plays on the top PP unit with the top liners. Defenseman Matt Grzelcyk is also getting to work on that top unit with Torey Krug injured.

Ottawa isn’t a great play today, but Mark Stone is priced well on DraftKings. Stone led the Sens in primary points per 60 last season and is only $5100 on DK. Defenseman Cody Ceci could also work as a salary relief option in cash games on DK. Ceci doesn’t see PP work or anything, but he does have an above average total of shots taken plus shots blocked per 60. That skill set will play in cash on DK at only $3100.

Sharks @ Islanders

This game also has an elevated over/under of six, and the Sharks are a healthy -160 favorite despite being on the road. Second-line center Logan Couture led the team in primary points per 60 last year, and he and left winger Tomas Hertl make for a nice mini-stack as they stay together on the top PP unit. Kevin Labanc joins the Couture line but plays on the second PP unit, though he could be included in a stack of that line as a bit of salary relief. Both of San Jose’s stud defensemen play on the top PP unit as well, but it was Erik Karlsson’s pair, not Brent Burns’ pair, who was with Couture’s line more at even strength in their last game, which was their first road fame of the year.

The Islanders make some sense as a contrarian play for GPPs, and a game stack could be an idea for a GPP lineup here. While first-line center Mathew Barzal is an attractive option, New York’s second line may make for a better stack. Second liners Anders Lee and Jordan Eberle weren’t too far behind Barzal in primary points per 60 last year, especially Eberle. More importantly, they both work on the top PP unit, and the D-man on the top PP unit, Nick Leddy, skates with their line at even strength on the road. All three guys are priced better on DK, so the stack makes more sense there. Eberle is priced so well there that he could be included in cash lineups for salary relief.

As for the goalies, it doesn’t make a ton of sense to be on them if we’re thinking this has game stack potential. Martin Jones has some cash appeal simply because the Sharks are a -160 favorite, but this may not be the best game to find your netminder.

Golden Knights @ Sabres

This game has the standard over/under of 5.5, and the Golden Knights are the smallest favorite of the slate at -140. That combined with the fact that Vegas will have a Stanley Cup rematch on Wednesday night in Washington to look ahead to makes them the least chalky favorite of the night. If you do want some Vegas exposure, it would be advisable to get it with their second line centered by Paul Stastny with Max Pacioretty and Erik Haula on the wings. That line stays together on the PP, and their PP units split PP work evenly. That line is joined by D-man Shea Theodore with the man advantage. The main reason they’re the preferred line is simply that the top line centered by William Karlsson is significantly more expensive.

If you wanted a contrarian Buffalo line for a GPP, go with Jack Eichel’s line. Eichel unsurprisingly led the team in primary points per 60 last year, and his wingers Conor Sheary and Sam Reinhart stay with him on the top PP unit. Second line winger Kyle Okposo joins the top line on the top PP unit, and he’s priced well on DK at only $4100. The best contrarian play from the Sabres is their goalie Carter Hutton. Hutton was great last year for the Blues as he ranked 10th out of 69 qualified goalies in Goals Saved Above Average. His opponent Marc-Andre Fleury also has cash appeal as a favorite.
