2025 Player Outlook
A good spring would assuredly give Shaw the keys to the hot corner for the Cubs in 2025, at least to begin the year. The team’s top prospect has rapidly ascended the minor league ranks, and across Double- and Triple-A last year, he hit .284 with 21 home runs and 31 stolen bases. His fantasy profile is very encouraging, led by good speed and raw power, and if he can lock down third base, his fantasy stock will skyrocket. There could be some growing pains for the team’s first round pick in the 2023 draft, but the tools are there. High upside pick at the hot corner and outside the top 300 overall.
