EPL DFS Playbook December 2: Top DraftKings and FanDuel DFS Soccer Picks
December is always a fun time of year to play EPL DFS. We have five games both Saturday and Sunday, then turn around with six more games on Wednesday. While this means plenty of opportunities for DFS players, it also means we need to be especially plugged in to injury and lineup news. Many teams look to shake up their lineups when they have midweek fixtures, which could lead to buying opportunities for our lineups.
EPL DFS Soccer Picks December 2
| Goalkeepers | ||||||
| Player | Team | Opp. | DK $ | DK FPPG | FD $ | FD FPPG |
| Mark Flekken | BRE | LUT | 5600 | 5.6 | 12 | 6.63 |
| Only Burnley and Sheffield United have scored fewer goals than Luton Town, and no team has more road losses. I fully expect Brentford to bounce back following consecutive losses to big six sides. | ||||||
| Odysseas Vlachodimos | NFO | EVE | 10 | 6.33 | ||
| Vlachodimos did not cover himself or his fantasy owners in glory, but he is home against the team that has allowed the most clean sheets in the league. I don't understand how he is cheaper than James Trafford | ||||||
| Wes Foderingham | SHU | BRN | 4200 | 5.96 | 9 | 6.42 |
| Burnley has scored the fewest goals and lost the most games in the league. With leading goalscorer Lyle Foster out again,I'm willing to bet on Burnley's inability to finish, especially at this price. | ||||||
| David Raya | ARS | WOL | 5900 | 7.89 | 13 | 9.63 |
| This really isn't a bad price considering Arsenal has allowed the fewest goals and kept the most clean sheets in the Premier League this season. Wolverhampton has only been shut out once this season, but I still don't really trust their goalscorers. At the end of the day, Arsenal is the best bet to pick up a win, which is why I'm willing to pay up for Raya. | ||||||
| Forwards | ||||||
| Player | Team | Opp. | DK $ | DK FPPG | FD $ | FD FPPG |
| Luca Koleosho | BRN | SHU | 4700 | 5.05 | 11 | 7.45 |
| Koleosho was the only Burnley attacker who looked dangerous against West Ham, and he drew the penalty that Jay Rodriguez put away for Burnley's only goal. He is the cheapest of Burnley's likely starting attackers and I think he is their most likely goalscorer. He is a GPP play only but he'll allow you to pay up at other positions. | ||||||
| Anthony Elanga | NFO | EVE | 16 | 13.91 | ||
| Elanga was the lone bright spot in an otherwise rough game last week, scoring a goal while also sending in four crosses and creating a chance. He isn't quite as consistent as I would like but he has four goal involvements in his last five games and I think he is actually relatively safe in this matchup. | ||||||
| Saman Ghoddos | BRE | LUT | 5300 | 3.28 | 11 | 6.61 |
| I would be lying if I said I knew exactly what to make of Ghoddos. He got his first start of the season last week at right back and took Brentford's only corner. He finished with two crosses, a shot and a chance created, and this should be a much better matchup. There is a good chance he splits set pieces with Bryan Mbeumo even with Mathias Jensen out again, but he certainly feels safer than the other low-priced forwards on the DK slate. | ||||||
| Bryan Mbeumo | BRE | LUT | 9700 | 16.59 | 22 | 26.10 |
| Mbeumo is probably a bit overpriced on FanDuel but I love him on DraftKings, especially compared to the non-Saka forwards. Mbeumo struggled against Arsenal last week, breaking a streak of four straight games with at least 14.4 DK fantasy points. I think he starts a new streak in this game, especially with Mathias Jensen out. | ||||||
| Alexander Isak | NEW | MUN | 20 | 20.86 | ||
| Isak returned from more than a month off to score his seventh goal in six Premier League starts. I don't love the matchup, but that hasn't appeared to matter too much for Isak this season. | ||||||
| Midfielders | ||||||
| Player | Team | Opp. | DK $ | DK FPPG | FD $ | FD FPPG |
| Johann Gudmundsson | BRN | SHU | 7300 | 8.15 | 15 | 14.59 |
| Since returning from a calf injury, Gudmundsson has started four straight games, playing at least 84 minutes in each while averaging 19.6 FD fantasy points. That would be fine production at this price but he is capable of even more. | ||||||
| Oliver Norwood | SHU | BRN | 5500 | 7.73 | 16 | 17.03 |
| You can pivot to Gustavo Hamer if you need to but I'm willing to ride the hot streak. Norwood has at least 14 FD fantasy points in six consecutive games despite just one goal involvement in that span. It also doesn't hurt that Burnley has been terrible defending set pieces all season. | ||||||
| Morgan Gibbs-White | NFO | EVE | 18 | 17.58 | ||
| Gibbs-White has at least 20 fantasy points in four of his last six starts despite having a goal involvement in just one of those games. He is one of the better top-tier targets on the FanDuel slate. | ||||||
| Bukayo Saka | ARS | WOL | 10500 | 18.61 | 23 | 28.58 |
| Saka was the only Arsenal starter to pay off last week, finding substitute Kai Havertz for an assist on Arsenal's lone goal. Saka has at least 20 FD fantasy points in 10 of his 12 games this season, and with so many strong value plays on both slates, Saka is pretty affordable. | ||||||
| Vitaly Janelt | BRE | LUT | 3900 | 5.01 | 12 | 10.67 |
| Pay attention to where Janelt is lining up. Janelt has at least three crosses and one chance created in three straight starts at left back. He has been consistent on FanDuel at any position but he is my favorite DK value play if he starts in the back. | ||||||
| Defenders | ||||||
| Player | Team | Opp. | DK $ | DK FPPG | FD $ | FD FPPG |
| Vitinho | BRN | SHU | 3500 | 3.3 | 8 | 5.34 |
| I would like it better for Burnley and for fantasy if Connor Roberts returned to the lineup, but both Burnley right backs are better when they can get forward and don't have to spend as much time defending. Vitinho has been quiet for fantasy mostly due to the matchups but we could be getting a steal in this matchup. | ||||||
| George Baldock | SHU | BRN | 3300 | 4.79 | 10 | 11.46 |
| Baldock had two crosses, three chances created and an assist last week against Bournemouth, and now he gets an even better matchup. I think he is actually riskier than Vitinho but he could be a better value. | ||||||
| Amari'i Bell | LUT | BRE | 3000 | 4.17 | 11 | 13.23 |
| Bell returned to the lineup with two crosses, two chances created and a shot on goal against Crystal Palace, and this should be an even better matchup. Only four teams have allowed more crosses than Brentford. | ||||||
| Murillo | NFO | EVE | 13 | 17.21 | ||
| Only Liverpool has allowed more clearances than Everton this season, and Murillo has at least 15 fantasy points in five of his seven games. There is enough value elsewhere on the slate to pay up for a little safety in our defense. | ||||||
| Gabriel Osho | LUT | BRE | 2600 | 1.3 | 11 | 13.38 |
| Barring some lineup surprises, Osho may be the closest thing we have to a bargain defender on FanDuel. He struggled in his first Premier League start but since then he has at least 15.4 FD fantasy points in three straight games. | ||||||
