Underdog Fantasy MLB Player Prop Top Plays April 11: Vladimir Guerrero Jr. & Shohei Ohtani Top the Ticket
Published: Apr 10, 2022
If you’re here, you must be a fan of Underdog Fantasy and looking for some MLB player props today. Well, you’ve come to the right place! After taking a look at the board, there are some really good props to play and include in your picks today to raise that multiplier and win some money. I mean, that’s the goal, right? More picks might be added as the day goes on, but here are my favorite MLB prop bets today at Underdog Fantasy.
Aaron Civale UNDER 3.5 Ks
This is a low line, yes, but I believe Civale goes under here. For his career, he’s a 7.0 K/9 guy in March and April, and in three career starts against the Royals, he’s posted a 5.82 ERA with just 12 strikeouts in 17 innings of work (6.4 K/9). In the spring, Civale racked up seven strikeouts in four innings against a good number of Seattle’s starters, and four strikeouts against Arizona’s regulars, but what have we seen in 2022? Well, Arizona and Seattle have the eighth-highest and 14th-highest strikeout rate against RHP respectively. Kansas City has punched out just 14.7 percent of the time against RHP in 2022, which is the third-lowest mark in baseball to begin the season. In simpler terms, we have a low-end strikeout arm going up against a team that doesn’t strikeout much at all.
Vladimir Guerrero Jr. OVER 1.5 Total Bases
For his career against Jameson Taillon, Guerrero Jr. is 3-for-7 with one home run and he likes facing the Yankees. In 176 career at-bats against the Bronx Bombers, Guerrero has a .301 batting average and .876 OPS. Furthermore, he has a .309 average and .939 OPS at Yankee Stadium. Dating back to last season, Guerrero has eclipsed 1.5 total bases in five of his last seven contests against the Yankees, and in 2022 alone, he has more than 1.5 total bases in each game this season.
Shohei Ohtani OVER 1.5 Total Bases
Ohtani may be just 2-for-17 to open the season, but he’s still making a ton of hard contact, and gets a juicy matchup against Miami’s Elieser Hernandez. For his career, Hernandez has allowed a .271 batting average and .376 wOBA to left-handed hitters, and in 2021 alone, those marks were up to .282 and .412 respectively. In 2021, at home versus a righty, Ohtani posted an insane 1.045 OPS.
