Top CBB DFS Guards

Devin Carter - Providence vs. Xavier ($9.6K DK/8.8K FD)

Devin Carter, the Friars dynamic guard has emerged as Providence’s best player with Bryce Hopkins Jr out with an ACL injury. In nearly every major statistical category, the guard has been one of the best on the roster, showing how well-rounded he is. Carter’s scoring, efficiency and passing numbers have all improved significantly this season as he’s taking on a much bigger offensive role with Hopkins out. With a 26.6% usage/26.7% shot rate to go along with a 20.2% assist rate on the season Carter is averaging 41.2 DK over his last five games and is the top pay up at guard on the slate.

Wade Taylor IV – Texas A&M vs. Kentucky ($7.6K DK/7.8K FD)

Wade Taylor, the SEC preseason player of the year, leads the Aggies in scoring at 17.3 points per game and has been their best player all season. He is a member of our 30/30 Club- 30.9% usage/30.9 shot rate- and his 4.6% steal rate is ranked 29th in the nation. Taylor IV has played awesome in big games that the Aggies have played in so far with 35 points in a loss to Florida Atlantic, 34 points in a loss to Houston, and most recently, 23 points in the loss against LSU.  Now he gets a major pace up game at home in The Jungle (Kentucky is 9th in offensive adjust efficiency while the Aggies are 26th) and the slates second highest game total (154.5). Wade Taylor IV is a cash core play.

Daniss Jenkins - St. John’s @ Creighton ($7.5K DK)

When Walter Clayton left Rick Pitino to go to Florida it was big news and three days later when his backcourt mate at Iona, Daniss Jenkins, decided to stay with the veteran coach and head south to Queens it went right under the radar. In hindsight Jenkins clearly has been the biggest addition Pitino made after taking the job and St. John’s offense, ranked 29th in efficiency (115.6), doesn’t run smoothly without him. After a slow start, he has exceeded everyone’s expectations and has been as good as any point guard in the Big East, averaging 12.6 points on 42 percent shooting, 6.3 assists, 4.8 rebounds and only 1.6 turnovers over the last 12 games. With a 25.2% usage/25.6% shot rate and 36.1 assist rate (16th in the nation) Jenkins is now a DFS star as he stuffs the stat sheet. This play could sneak under the radar today on a 12-game slate, but Daniss Jenkins will be in most of my lineups.

Other Top CBB DFS Guards

  • Kevin McCullar Jr, Kansas ($8.7K DK/8.5K FD) Cash/GPP
  • Baylor Scheierman, Creighton ($9.1K DK) Cash/GPP
  • Allen Flanigan, Mississippi ($8.0K DK) GPP
  • Jaelen House, New Mexico ($7.5K DK) Cash/GPP - House is the sneak play of the day with a 25 DK point floor.
  • Mike James G/F, Louisville ($6.9K DK) Cash/GPP
  • Dalton Knecht, Tennessee ($6.3K DK) Cash/GPP - Knecht will be popular today at this price coming off a 45 DK game but is still a bit volatile.
  • DJ Horne, North Carolina State ($6.9K DK) GPP
  • Josiah-Jordan James, Tennessee ($6.5K DK) GPP
  • Tramon Mark, Arkansas ($6.9K FD) FD Only
  • Pop Isaacs, Texas Tech ($6.7K FD) FD Only
  • RJ Luis, St. John’s ($6.2K DK) Cash/GPP

Top CBB DFS Value Guard

Tyrece Radford - Texas A&M vs. Kentucky ($5.7K DK/6.4K FD)

Tyrece Redford, one of the oldest players in the nation, has plenty of experience to lead A&M in this big pace up game in The Jungle against Kentucky. He’s gotten off to a slow start this season after missing games due to injury, but he’s starting to get more comfortable down the stretch as one of the top guards in the conference. He has the driving ability to find success against the Wildcats and will get to the free throw line often as he only made 4 of 13 shots last week against Auburn but still ended up with 14 points (32.3 DK). With a 154.5 game total against a mediocre defense at home I will have two Aggies in my main cash lineup (Taylor IV/Radford) and will feel just fine about it.

Other Top CBB DFS Value Guards

  • Jayden Pierre, Providence ($5.8K DK/5.2K FD) Cash/GPP - Pierre plays nearly every minute and is averaging 28 DK over his last two games.
  • Curtis Williams G/F, Louisville ($4.5K DK) - Played over 30 minutes last game against Miami (25.3 DK).
  • Garwey Dual, Providence ($4.2K DK/4.9K FD) Cash/GPP - In a slate lacking cheap value Dual, who played 33 minutes last game, could be the play that makes your lineup work today.
  • Hayden Hefner, Texas A&M ($3.9K DK/4.7K FD) GPP - At $3.9K and playing 25+ minutes Hefner is in play as a GPP dart.

Top CBB DFS Forwards

Armando Bacot - North Carolina ($8.1K DK)

Armando Bacot’s role has transformed some this season on the court.  A fifth-year senior now and the program’s all-time rebounding and double-double king, he is no longer the first option on offense for UNC. RJ Davis’s scoring surge this season (19.1 PPG) hasn’t diminished Bacot’s output though. He’s averaging a double-double on the season (14.9 PPG, 11.1 RPG) and has a career-high 1.9 blocked shots per game. Bacot was recently the ACC Player of the Week after averaging 15 points, 13 rebounds and 2.5 blocked shots in the Tar Heels’ conference road wins at Pittsburgh and Clemson. Now he gets a sweet matchup against Syracuse at home and should dominate in what could end up being his best offensive game of the season.

Jaemyn Brakefield - Mississippi ($7.6K DK)

While it took Jaemyn Brakefield a little bit to get himself going early in the season, the senior has been a much bigger factor over the last month. Since Nov. 28, he's had career high points not once, but twice and is coming off a 28-point explosion (43.3 DK) against Florida. He has 50 real points over his last two games with a 25% usage rate. Over his last five games Brakefield is averaging over 30 DK with over six boards a game. Now he gets Vanderbilt at home, a team with a 27.7% offensive rebounding rate (236th in the nation). Jaemyn Brakefield will fly under the radar today and is viable in all formats.

Efton Reid III - Wake Forest vs. Virginia ($6.8K DK)

Wake Forest is a totally different team since junior forward Efton Reid III joined the lineup. His presence on the court gives the team a new dimension After eight games (including five starts), Reid averages 8.1 PPG, 9.3 RPG (team leader), 2.3 ORPG (second-most on team) and 2.0 BPG (team leader). The ACC only includes players who have played in 75% of their team’s games in the statistical leaderboard — Reid will not reach this threshold until the Feb. 27 matchup against Notre Dame — but his total rebound, and block numbers are both good for 4th-best in the conference. After a “down” game against Florida State where he put up only 22 DK on a near double-double (9 points/9 reboiu8nds) Reid’s price has dropped to sub-$7K making this a solid point per dollar play in the mid-price range.

Other Top CBB DFS Forwards

  • Hunter Dickinson, Kansas ($9.9K DK/9.0K FD)
  • Jason LeDee, San Diego State ($9.0K DK) Cash - LeDee is the top pay up forward on the slate but will be hard to fit in your cash lineup at this price.
  • Joel Soriano, St. John’s @ Creighton ($8.0K DK) Cash/GPP - Soriano is St. John’s MVP but has been volatile lately. He could easily nuke the slate at this price.
  • Josh Oduro, Providence ($8.5K DK/7.6K FD) Cash/GPP
  • Harrison Ingram, North Carolina ($7.5K DK) Cash/GPP - I will have one of Bacot or Ingram in every lineup against a weak SU interior.
  • Henry Coleman III, Texas A&M ($6.3K DK/6.7K FD)
  • Maliq Brown, Syracuse ($7.8K DK) Cash/GPP - Brown now has four straight 30+ DK games.
  • Jahmyl Telfort, Butler ($6.4K DK) Cash/GPP
  • Trevon Brazile, Arkansas ($6.0K FD) Cash/GPP - FD Only. Brazile is too cheap on FanDuel today.

CBB DFS Top Value Forwards

Note: In what has become a theme, forward value is extremely lacking on this slate but here are a few plays that you can consider while filling out your GPP lineups:

  • Mason Miller, Creighton ($4.9K DK) GPP- Miller always seems to project well but his ceiling is 3X.
  • Curtis Williams G/F, Louisville ($4.5K DK)
  • Jason Rivera-Torres, Vanderbilt ($5.4K DK)- Rivera-Torres has played 23-25 minutes over his last two games with a 25 DK average. If he somehow makes the starting five, he becomes a cash value on a value starved slate at forward.
  • Ven-Allen Lubin, Vanderbilt ($5.1K DK)
