2024 Player Outlook

2023 Recap: Monasterio got his first big league action last season, and he held his own, slashing .259/.330/.348 across 92 games with three home runs, 14 doubles and seven stolen bases. He's never been a prolific power hitter in the minors, though there is optimism for him to be able to sustain a solid batting average in the MLB. Last year, he posted a sub-nine percent swinging strike rate, while posting a 79.4 percent contact rate and 25.9 percent O-Swing rate.

2024 Outlook: As he continues to get more comfortable at the game's highest level, he should be able to comfortably hit .250+ with double-digit stolen bases. Based on the look of the Milwaukee team, he's going to get the first crack to man the hot corner for Milwaukee, and as long as he can both lefties and righties and play quality defense, he should have a role on this team. His quantity of contact figures to be more impressive than his quality of contact, and his lack of power will drive down his fantasy value. The acquisition of Joey Ortiz adds some legitimate competition to ABs in this lineup, and significantly shortens Monasterio's leash at the hot corner.
