2023 Player Outlook
Huh? Centerfielder Jazz Chisholm? Is that right? It sure is, according to the Marlins' own GM Kim Ng. Getting Luis Arraez caused a backlog in the middle of the infield for Miami and hence the move to the outfield for Chisholm. The main question for Chisholm has long been his health. He’s only topped 60 games once, though he’s only been up for two full years overall. Injuries have been as much a theme of his young career as the homers and speed have been. There’s no doubt that if he can stay on the field, the skills are there for him to be a 25-25 player even with an average in the .240 range. All of that being said, he’s in line for a career year across the line if he can stay healthy and keep improving his quality of contact numbers as well as K-rate and BB-rate like he has been.
