Welcome to another great Saturday full of baseball! There are some great daytime baseball games, including the best rivalry in all of sports (even if they are in the bottom two places of their division) with the Boston Red Sox taking on the New York Yankees, leading up to our main slate with will be a 10-game slate on DraftKings and a 7-game slate on FanDuel both getting underway at 7:10 PM EST. Today’s main slate is highlighted by Framber Valdez, Kodai Senga, and Logan Webb taking the mound as the top-end pitchers, but I personally like avoiding those top-end pitchers today and moving to some of the cheaper options like the ones I have highlighted below. On the offensive side, we have some great offenses to target today, with some of my favorites including the Colorado Rockies, Baltimore Orioles, Chicago White Sox, San Francisco Giants, Cleveland Guardians, Tampa Bay Rays, and Los Angeles Dodgers. Plenty of different ways to go about building a winning MLB DFS lineup today, so let’s dive into some of my favorite value options of the day!

MLB DFS Value Pitchers

Yu Darvish, San Diego Padres (DraftKings: $8,000)

Yu Darvish has had some ups and downs this season but has still for the most part been a fantastic pitcher. He continues to get strikeouts at a decent clip, and while the Arizona Diamondbacks aren’t a team that rolls over often, I think he can continue to get strikeouts against them and hopefully go back to limiting the hits a little more than he did in his last outing against the Baltimore Orioles

Miles Mikolas, St. Louis Cardinals (DraftKings: $6,600 / FanDuel: $7,100)

The New York Mets, despite their terrible season, still have a decent offense, but I have faith that Miles Mikolas can put together a decent outing against them. He disappointed in his last outing against the Oakland Athletics, giving up 4 earned runs and only striking out 4, and while his overall strikeout numbers are quite low, we have seen him flash up to 6+ strikeouts 7 different times this season, including a 10-strikeout game earlier in the season. Mikolas should at least be able to avoid any blowup, and I think there is enough upside here to be worth taking a chance at this price.

MLB DFS Value Hitters

Ty France, 1B Seattle Mariners (DraftKings: $3,700 / FanDuel: $2,900)

Everything is clicking for the Mariners right now, who have just moved into a wild-card spot. While Julio Rodriguez has been the driving force behind the renewed offense, Ty France continues to be a contributor in most games as well. While he has only had 1 hit over the last 3 games, before that he was on a 10-game stretch where he had slashed .333/.450/.667 and clobbered 3 homers. I am expecting to bounce back to that type of production today against Framber Valdez who, despite throwing a no-hitter a few starts ago, has a 5.33 ERA over his last 8 starts.

Brendan Rodgers, 2B Colorado Rockies (DraftKings: $3,300 / FanDuel: $2,800)

Brendan Rodgers is starting to lock in at the plate over this recent home stretch. In his last 4 games, he has 6 hits with 5 of them being for extra bases, and tallying up 4 runs and 7 RBIs. The Rockies offense should put up plenty of runs today in Colorado, getting to face Jesse Scholtens and the Chicago White Sox, and I expect Brendan Rodgers to be a large contributing factor to that.

Royce Lewis, 3B Minnesota Twins (DraftKings: $3,700 / FanDuel: $2,800)

Royce Lewis has struggled with injuries all season, but when he has played, he has been incredible with a .340/.381/.491 slash line through his 29 games. He took no time warming back up when he returned to the lineup on Tuesday with 5 hits including 2 doubles and a stolen base through his first 3 games. His production is a steal at this price, thanks to him being out of the lineup for most of the season.

Kerry Carpenter, OF Detroit Tigers (DraftKings: $4,000 / FanDuel: $2,900)

Kerry Carpenter just had a 13-game hitting streak come to an end during game two of their doubleheader yesterday. Over that stretch, Carpenter had slashed .412/.464/.765 with 5 homers and 7 multi-hit games. The Tigers offense has been showing some excitement recently between Carpenter, Spencer Torkelson, and Riley Greene and I think they will put up some more production today.
