College Basketball CBB DFS Picks

Baylor vs Oregon State

Baylor is the biggest favorite on the slate, but we should still see the starters play normal minutes. RayJ Dennis ($8700), Ja’Kobe Walter ($7600), and Jayden Nunn ($7300) are all in play from Baylor’s backcourt. Walter might be the best per-dollar option as he’s averaging 18 PPG this season with 27+ DK in all three of Baylor’s games vs D1 opponents. Yves Missi ($5300) is a good GPP value in the mid-5k range. The freshman 7-footer is a physical and athletic mismatch in the paint and will be making highlight-reel plays all season. He’s moved into the starting lineup the past two games over Tchamwa Tchatchoua, so his minutes should be safer moving forward.

Though Oregon State should lose big here, we do have some decent options. Tyler Bilodeau ($6300) is a solid bargain as the Beavs’ offensive leader right now. He’s averaging 15 PPG and 8.5 RPG with 28+ DK in three straight games. Baylor’s wing defense is a slight weakness, so Bilodeau can still get his numbers even in a double-digit loss. Jordan Pope ($7100) is a GPP play because he has scored 25 real points in back-to-back games coming in. Dexter Akanno ($4900) is a GPP value with 28 and 32 DK efforts already this season but also a pair of duds. Christian Wright ($4000) is starting in Oregon State’s backcourt and is a bit too cheap for the potential 5x value.

Georgia Tech vs Cincinnati

Cincinnati has one of the higher expected team totals on the slate. Day Day Thomas ($6600) offers a strong cash floor as Cincy’s lead point guard and high-usage playmaker. John Newman ($5300) is a solid cash value in the mid-5k range. The senior wing does a little bit of everything and should give us 20-30 DK like he’s been doing for three straight games. Speaking of value plays, Dan Skillings ($5000) is underpriced tonight. The sophomore is coming off the bench, but he’s still logging starter-level minute and is a high-usage player with double-digit shot attempts in every game so far. Skillings has 21+ DK in all four games with a big 25-point, 42 DK outburst last game. Viktor Lahkin ($7400) will have a size and talent advantage over Georgia Tech’s weak frontcourt as a top GPP forward. Aziz Bandaogo ($5800) was recently granted eligibility, so we’ll see how the big man rotation shakes out. Cincy has a number of GPP value darts if you want to take a shot on Jizzle James ($4100), CJ Fredrick ($4400), or Simas Lukosius ($5000).

For Georgia Tech, Miles Kelly ($7700) has a whopping 31% usage rate and 35% shot rate so far as the team’s clear top offensive option. That should keep his cash floor pretty safe. Tyzhaun Claude ($7000) is a GPP upside play, but he may have a tough time in the paint with Viktor Lahkin. Kowacie Reeves ($6200) wasn’t good last game but he had 30 and 31 DK in the first two contests this season, so this is a potential buy-low spot.

Arkansas vs Stanford

Arkansas boasts one of tonight’s top team totals in this higher-scoring, faster-paced matchup. El Ellis ($7200) and Khalif Battle ($7000) are priced a bit too high to trust in cash but both have GPP upside for 30+ DK tonight. Davonte Davis ($6100) is in a similar boat, but the price is much more affordable than Ellis/Battle for likely similar production. Tramon Mark ($5700) is a very good value as long as he’s priced in this 5k range. He just went for 21 points and 30 DK last game. Trevon Brazile ($6000) is also still underpriced and shouldn’t be under 7k for much longer. He has 27, 29, and 25 DK over the past three games with a 30-40 DFS effort incoming soon.

On the Stanford side, Maxime Raynaud ($6400) boasts a 30% shot rate and 31% usage rate so his DFS cash floor is pretty safe. The 7-foot-1 center has at least 29 DK in every game so far while averaging 19.3 PPG and 9.0 RPG. He’s a solid bargain among the top-end forwards. Jared Bynum ($5600) will likely be a chalky value play. The Providence transfer is now running Stanford’s point and offers a strong floor his assists and overall DFS production. If Brandon Angel ($5500) returns from a two-game absence, he’s also a top value from Stanford to consider as he scored 18 points in both of the first two games and should be more expensive. Andrej Stojakovic ($5200) has started the past two games with Angel out and has scored 18 points with 23+ DK in both. Michael Jones ($4500) is a great value as well with 22+ DK in three of four games while seeing 30+ minutes as a starter.

Wisconsin vs SMU

For Wisconsin, AJ Storr ($5300) is still the team leader in usage rate (28%) and shot rate (35%). The St. John’s transfer is handling the ball a ton when he’s on the court and it usually gives him a solid cash floor of 20-25 DK. Chucky Hepburn ($5400) is a tad underpriced because he was terrible last game vs Virginia, but a 25-30 DK effort could be coming tonight to exceed value. Steven Crowl ($6600) is boom-or-bust but the last two games have seen him put up 31 and 33 DK. He’s risky for cash but offers GPP upside when he’s dominating the paint. Tyler Wahl ($6100) has also picked it up the last two games but there are better options above and below him in the pricing tiers.

SMU is led by Zhuric Phelps ($8100) who’s gone for 30 and 40 DK in the past two games against tougher competition. His 30% usage rate and 32% shot rate both lead SMU by a good margin this season and his cash floor is strong with the alpha role. Chuck Harris ($6500) is a GPP play who’s popped for 25+ DK in three of four games. The cheaper SMU players are tough to trust in cash on this slate compared to other values. The one worth looking at is Keon Ambrose-Hylton ($4800) because he’s a cheaper forward.

Florida vs Pittsburgh

Florida is another top team total tonight in a high-scoring matchup. Walter Clayton ($7900) is a strong overall play tonight with 30+ DK in three of four games this season in a high-usage role running the point. Zyon Pullin ($7500) and Riley Kugel ($7400) are both too expensive for cash but offer some GPP upside, especially Pullin because he immediately had 27 DK with a stat-stuffing role in his first game with Florida. Tyrese Samuel ($6700) has at least 26 DK in every game so far and is at a decent price point, though Pitt does boast a strong frontcourt to limit him. Alex Condon ($4100) actually leads Florida in usage rate off the bench in his backup big role. He’s worth a GPP dart because he does have 18+ DK in three of four games so far. Will Richard ($5500) is a decent value if you need someone in the mid-5k range.

Pitt has a few top guys and a key value to consider in this high-total game. Blake Hinson ($7700) leads the team in usage (29%) and shot rate (35%) this season and should be a strong cash DFS play in that role. The power forward is averaging 20.5 PPG so far with 26+ DK in each game. Carlton Carrington ($8300) and Ishmael Leggett ($8000) are both stuffing stat sheets and in higher-usage roles as well. Both are viable cash plays, though this is the first time Pitt is playing a tough opponent – so we’ll see if there are growing pains for the freshman and transfer guards. Federiko Federiko ($5000) is still underpriced and a top forward value in all formats tonight. The rest of Pitt’s cheaper players are just GPP options until we see how the rotation shakes out now that they’re playing a power conference team.

Gonzaga vs UCLA

Ryan Nembhard ($6700) is running the point for Gonzaga and that makes him a strong cash play. He’s filling up the stat sheet and has 29+ DK in all three of the Zags’ closer games so far. Expect more of the same tonight. Graham Ike ($8600) is in a high-usage role at center but is more a GPP upside play in a tough one-on-one matchup vs UCLA’s Adem Bona. Anton Watson ($7300) has 32+ DK in three of four games so far and should be a solid cash/GPP option tonight. Dusty Stromer ($4400) should do just enough to return value as a starting wing for Gonzaga. Ben Gregg ($4000) is worth a GPP dart for the potential 5x upside at his best.

As mentioned above, the big-man battle between Adem Bona ($8400) and Graham Ike puts both in the upside GPP territory. Both can go off and smash the slate but either might get into foul trouble. Sebastian Mack ($6800) has 38 DK in both of the first two Maui games this week and could be popular for those chasing points, but tough to pay up in cash. Dylan Andrews ($4700) continues to be underpriced as he’s playing 30+ minutes in UCLA’s backcourt and doing enough across multiple stat categories to return value. This pace-boost matchup vs Gonzaga makes him even more attractive. Berke Buyuktuncel ($4500) started his first game since becoming eligible and only had 9.5 DK points vs Marquette. Yesterday, he came off the bench and had 23 DK vs Chaminade. It’s tough to get a read on what to expect from the Turkish freshman moving forward, but it’s a good sign to see him play 27 and 24 minutes in his first two games right away. This sub-5k price puts him in play as a GPP value for the potential 5x return.
