Goaltender Lukas Dostal was impressive on the first day of training camp for the Anaheim Ducks.
Dostal is highly regarded and is coming off a great start in the Finnish Liiga as he was 10-1-0 with a 1.64 GAA and a .941 save percentage with Ilves after capturing the Urpo Ylonen Award as the Liiga's best goalie last season. Coach Cody Eakins gave Dostal plenty of praise and while it is likely he will start the season on the taxi squad and eventually end up on the Ducks farm team, he could battle John Gibson for the starter's job in a few seasons. He was drafted in the third round, 85th overall in 2018 and is worthy of keeping an eye on in the future. Jan 02 10:22 am (EST)
